Oysters and red wine
Rebecca Q.

The food is not the greatest, this place is better just for the ambience/drinks and the amazing live music and Irish dancing! Oysters were quite fresh and loved the mignonette, but Burgers were just okay/not worth the price and my server kind of forced me to get a more expensive wine than the one I originally ordered. Did love the vanilla cheesecake for dessert tho.

Do people come here for their outstanding food menu? To be honest, not really. The main attraction of eating here is that you can eat and look around & admire the amazing infrastructure. They really did a great job of keeping the interior of the church while building a eye-catching bar right in the middle of it. It's a really unique concept. I was able to walk around inside and it's all really well-made. You can even walk alongside the organ on the 2nd level. I did dine here with a few friends on my first trip to Dublin. I noticed that their menu is definitely on the up charge (due to the popularity of this experience), which is understandable. I personally chose to get the 8oz prime angus burger. It was decent NYC priced burger, so I was okay paying the price. It also came with some fries which were good. I personally didn't come here with high expectations for the food, so I wasn't highly disappointed. I think it was nice just experiencing it once.

I Stopped by The Church for oysters and drinks--this place was busy and clearly a popular spot. We were seated in the lower level, which unfortunately felt a bit like a dungeon and didn't quite capture the atmosphere we were hoping for. That said, the food and drinks were solid. We had a selection of 8 oysters, all incredibly fresh, and Irish coffees that were smooth and flavorful. The speculoos cookies served alongside were a great touch and paired perfectly with the coffees. After we finished eating, we went upstairs and finally got to admire the main church space--it was beautiful. Such a unique and fun way to honor the building's original architecture and history. Overall, while the downstairs seating was a bit of a letdown, the experience upstairs and the quality of the oysters and drinks made it a memorable visit which I'm glad we were able to see on our trip!

Great casual pit stop of a restaurant to stop by in Ireland! The service and food were pretty decent overall with prices that seemed in line with what you would expect from an establishment like this nowadays. The best food item we had was their stew, it was nice and hearty, though it needed a bit of extra seasoning along with some of the other food items. The interior of the restaurant is super cool and I think it's worth stopping by just to get a drink to admire the atmosphere.

This was a unique experience. Music, beer & burgers in a church. Very cool to see and do!! I will say: one of the best burgers I've had. The onion ring on it was immaculate and I almost ordered a whole order of them after tasting it!! The fries also just tasted *golden* they were so good. I also had a Guinness with black currant! Our server was so nice, she was the sweetest girl but I forgot her name sadly.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, as it is in a 300 year old church with an amazing organ up stairs is the best place to sit. we had dinner we both had fish and chips, can't say they were the best, but service and the atmosphere were pretty outstanding!!! dessert was quite delicious... peanut butter brownie

We just stopped in for a quick drink , so I didn't get a chance to try the food, but I was seriously impressed with their drinks. The cocktail menu is great; it's huge, creative, and they make them perfectly. The service at the bar was quick and friendly, and just sitting there soaking up the atmosphere is a unique experience in itself. Definitely worth popping in for a drink, even if you're not planning on a meal.

Went here for a quick late night bite after our first night in Dublin. My friend and I split fries and the Mango & Lime Chicken Wings. Typical bar food order but was pleasantly surprised by the tangy taste. I really enjoyed the wings! The fries were just very basic. We did get seated at an interesting table which you could definitely tell it was a church back in its day. There was music and dancers performing but because we were seated so far off in a little book, we couldn't see anything. Would have been nice to be seated closer to see the performers.

This was such a wonderful experience. I was able to get a coeliac menu and it had such great options! The live music and dancing made it such and entertaining night. The interior is absolutely stunning and it was a very high end experience. Staff was great and food and drinks were even better

Trendy for a reason. Good food and live traditional music and dancing. Make a reservation and ask for a view or else many seats will not offer one though you can still hear it if you can't see it. There is also a large bar with a good view. I enjoyed the special of the day which was roasted half chicken and their dry aged steak was good as well.

I love historic buildings, especially those that had a former life than what stands today. And The Church is just that. It's a historic church in Dublin that now serves as a restaurant and bar. I had a pleasant time here. I needed to find sustenance, so asked the concierge at my hotel for nearby eateries, which is how I found The Church. Walking distance from my hotel, I visited on a Thursday night and even then, it was lively and packed with people. But the space is large, so I lucked out on getting a table as soon as I walked in. But I didn't have the best seat in the house, which is the bar or upstairs where you can see everything, including the stage of the singers and dancers! They have traditional Irish music performed here with the traditional dance, which was so fun to see! What a treasure for me to experience this on my first night in Dublin. For food, the menu had everything I was looking for, which was traditional, comfort, Irish meals. I ordered the lamb stew and a mulled wine, which came with two minced pies for the season. The lamb stew was delicious, with tender pieces of lamb and roasted carrots and potatoes in a hearty stew. The mulled wine had spices to it and was nice and warm. After I ate, the server said I could walk around the restaurant (since I was asking so many questions about the building), so walked up to the second floor where you can see the organ pipes and all throughout the restaurant and bar. I recommend getting a seat upstairs that overlooks the place if you're able to. I had a fun time at The Church, and recommend anyone visiting Dublin to check out the traditional Irish music and food in this historic church.

Visited the Church bar in Dublin and highly recommend the tour with Irish coffee demonstration. We learned all about the history of the property including that Taylor Swift visited in 2011! Our tour guide did an incredible job providing fun stories and teaching us the techniques on how to make a traditional Irish coffee. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. Very unique experience in Dublin that I highly enjoyed.

Filet, shrimp, fries and crispy potatoes! When in Ireland double potatoes!

Food and service were great. The church ambience was cool even Taylor Swift ate here!

A little freshness in a bowl.

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

The portion sizes kind of seem small but that could be because my girlfriend and I split everything and it was basically a couple of bites from each other's dishes. We got the blueberry lemon pancakes, and a meat dish for the needed protein, so one savory and one sweet, the way breakfast is meant to be worshipped and devoured simultaneously. Beautiful, small place that gets packed very quickly. Interestingly enough I thought it was a French bistro, but I believe the owners hail from Ukraine as that is the country flag that was hung outside the shape if my world history learnings are correct. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would come back in a New York minute if I get the chance to visit Dublin again. As always people SYOY!!!

Sunken below street level it feels more off the main path and you have to keep your eyes out to find it easily. Walking in the place has a real chill and cozy vibe up front. I was seated right way and ordered off their all day menu. I got their Double Baked eggs, brown soda bread, bacon, sausage and roast tomato. For my tastes the double baked eggs were overdone, but that's double baked for you. Everything else was so delicious though that I truly didn't even notice. It was a wonderful pile of meat overflowing out of a little skillet with a stack of soda bread and butter. Truly it was a delight. I also ordered up their irish coffee. This was especially fun because it's not a simple shot of whiskey, coffee and cream. They create a brown sugar syrup blended with the whiskey to cook off the alcohol but retain the flavor. This means you can day drink and not even bat an eye at it being strange. The flavor was delicious and I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure.
