Yep - it's a dive bar, but they were open late and Kelly was a friendly bartender when we were in last weekend, the night before we were both in my friend's wedding up in Sac. My bf and I went out and spent all the $2.00 bills we brought for the wedding's "money dance" here instead of on the bride and groom since it's CASH ONLY. (Bride and groom ended up getting $20s from us instead since that's all the ATM at the reception spit out. So it worked out for them!) We had fun singing karaoke, watching karaoke (some great singers in there for such a tiny place) watching people play pool, etc. Contemplated darts but we left our sets at home. Overall a very fun night - met a few girls that we chatted with all evening at the bar. Very friendly crowd. read more

What do I want the most on my first single valentine's day in 8 years? A dark, unfamiliar dive bar where I can drown my fresh sorrows and not risk running into anyone I know. Whatdyaknow, this bar seems obscure and is close to my office... The Cinch will work in a pinch! Classic dive bar- providing a dark little hidey-hole away from the bright midday sun, and thankfully far enough away from downtown to be free of the trendy/hipster element. (If anything, the few other customers were looking at me as the trendy youngster.) There *were* little non-dive details that intrigued me... I certainly don't know of any other dives that have a mini kareoke stage, are playing Cougar Town on the bar TV and have FIVE seperate flavors of Kaluha behind the bar. Thanks Melanie D for introducing me to this place. Now, I have the itch...the Cinch itch. I know someday soon it will need to be scratched again. Maybe by some Cat Scratch Fever on the scaryoake machine. The beautiful and well mannered Australian Shepard was there. His master gave him the wonderful name of "Potlicker". The sleeveless t-shirt guy who sounds like he grew up in Kansas was there but he states he is an Elk Grove native. If you need any karaoke tips he will be sure to give them to you. He might even sing a bad ass version of "Falling in Love with You." I was a lucky gal that night. Until we meet again Cinch. Keep the music loud, the pool tables cookin and the back door patio lit. I might just be back to blow everyone away with my version of Stevie Nick's "Stand Back." The boyfriend swears he will do "Take on Me" by A-ha. You will never be the same again :) read more

This is the best hole in the wall bar I've beEn too in a long time! The atmosphere is awesome. They only take cash and that day the atm was out of money. There were regulars that were all to kind and bought us a round of drinks. The bartender Rita was awesome!!! Would definitely recommend this place read more

So they don't do tabs, takes only cash but the bartender was still great at attending our drinks. Even tho it didn't feel like the greatest place, my boyfriend felt he fitted right in wearing a camo sweater lol. So I guess that's your judgment call read more

Would of gave zero stars but that wasn't an option. Not only are the not welcoming but they looked my friend and I like we were allowed to be in the bar. NEVER will even go back. It's a hole in a wall anyway. read more

The Cinch is hidden behind a gas station and Metro PCS. So you really have to pay attention, especially at night, when you're driving on Florin/Power Inn looking for this hidden spot. I only visited this place because my hubby's best friend is the security guard here. I noticed several people standing outside the entrance smoking cigarettes and talking quietly to each other. Once I walked in, I heard a man singing totally off-key to an old country song. When I saw the singer, he was swaying while holding a beer and glaring at a karaoke machine. Even though the music was deafening, people continued to dance, head bob a little, and loudly order drinks. The bartender, oh I forgot his name, was patient and attentive to his customers. The signs hanging at the bar kept me amused for a few minutes. "Beer! Helping ugly people get laid!" Classic! The customers looked like they were in their early 50s and late 40s. I felt a bit out of place because I did not see anyone younger than 35 or around my age group. However, the men in there were respectful and the ladies were very friendly to me. There are two pool tables and a little yard for smokers to hang out. This place is kind of small but I loved it here because there was absolutely no drama and no fighting. It was just people hanging out, drinking, singing off key, dancing, and enjoying themselves. p.s. The bathrooms need help. It was nasty! If I was a guy, I'd be standing outside in the parking lot pissing. read more

Good Drinks, Karokee is good. nice little hideaway bar. Kelly one of the main bartenders is a great dude. only thing preventing 5 stars. NEED NEW BALLS/POOL STICKS. atleast let us set up a donations jar for that. read more

the cinch is a great bar!! im not a drinker but i happen to work next door at the salon clean cutz. i know the bartender (jason) and rita. they are all great people. a bunch of locals who are drama free. i love coming to work each day & when business is slow i always have a friendly person next door to talk to. if your looking for a wild bar to come to this isnt it. its fun but more laidback. just your same old neighboorhood guys & dolls coming in day after day to mingle with one another. since i have worked next door I have only seen 1 fight. but nothing serious. 2 of the guys just had a few too much to drink. and started givin eachother a hard time. so come in & try them out. everyone is pretty easygoin down to earth & drama free. read more
