I gave the cleaning authority two chance as well and they failed for me too. Wish I had checked Yelp first. I told the owner, Joe about my dissatisfaction after the first cleaning and he said he would have the missed areas addressed at the next visit. Although they did address the misses I pointed out, they complained bitterly to my girlfriend who had the unpleasant experience of having to listen to them question her requests for a better cleaning job and their comments that they don't get paid enough to do such a good job. After the "make-up" job I never heard back from Joe again. I wanted to give him a few days to follow-up with me, but the call never came. At that point I decided it wasn't worth dealing with him again. He either completely misrepresents his services or doesn't have a clue as to how bad it is. If it were the latter I would have expected a follow-up call from him so he could resolve what appears to be a systemic issue with his service. I think it's safe to assume he doesn't care. Wish I would have read the reviews before I hired these people. The first time they cleaned they were here for a long time and did a pretty good job. However, it really bugged me that they didn't remove their shoes and they used a subpar vacuum cleaner. What service provider comes to a home and doesn't remove their shoes or at least put on shoe covers? This is a cleaning service for crying out loud. . . .shouldn't they, more than any other service provider, remove their shoes? They came again two weeks later and I was caught unprepared as they left a voice mail message on my home phone the day before telling me they were coming but I did not pick it up. It was not a good day for them to come as my kids were packing up to leave for college and the house was a mess. However, I felt bad turning them away so I let them go ahead and clean. Big mistake. They were here half the time and since my son was sleeping they did not even go into his room, which was fine, but then when I called to find out how much I owed them, they told me to take $5.00 off for his bedroom. Really?? An entire bedroom costs $5.00 to clean? That's weird because they itemized my basement stairs for $6.00. So it is $6.00 to vacuum stairs and it's $5.00 to clean an entire bedroom. Makes no sense. Plus why would I only get $5.00 off when they were here only 2.5 hours and the first time they were here they cleaned for 5.5 hours. Shouldn't I be billed based on how many hours they worked? They wanted to charge me the same exact amount. I called and told them not to come back anymore and the woman manager talked me into trying one more time and reduced the price of the cleaning and told me the owner would call me to discuss price going forward. Never received a call from him but they contacted me two weeks later saying they would be here the next day. I called and told them not to come. The owner can't even call me back after a complaint and I don't know how much Im being charged but they went ahead and scheduled me? Plus, I told them I only wanted cleaning once a month so why would they be here two weeks after the last cleaning? Horrible customer service. Horrible cleaning. Do not hire these people. read more

My house is cleaned every two weeks. They are very thorough and efficient. I am happy with the job they do and they have been doing the cleaning for almost a year now. The only minor quibble I have is that I never know what time they will show up on the designated day. No big deal though. read more

The team is very accommodating to my schedule. The team of women that are my usual cleaners are fabulous. The love my big dog and are honest and very good. They will focus on areas of the house that I ask them to do and go above and beyond to ensure its done right. read more

If I could rate this company less than 1 star I would. Their cleaning staff does not do all the cleaning details that they claim to do. No baseboards were "hand wiped", did not move anything out of the way to dust. I supply the cleaner and mop and you'd think they've never used one before. One of their teams didn't bother to lift up the toilet seat to clean it. I have had to have multiple re-cleanings done and have used 6 different cleaning teams. One is as bad as the next. They have even put out their cigarettes on my driveway. Completely disrespectful and incompetent. Management (Joe) came to my home and agreed it wasn't being cleaned properly. He said he would personally be present for my next cleaning to insure it was done completely. My cleaning was as bad as all the others. I have since cancelled my service with them and ask anyone considering using their service to think twice before doing it. read more

Please don't hire this Company - Very poor cleaning, racial remarks and threatening. My husband selected The Cleaning Authority for our home after interviewing the owner. All seemed well until they cleaned my home. The service providers vacuumed around items, did not clean the hard wood floor and did not wipe the dining room table at all. It was the WORST cleaning that I have ever had. To add insult to injury when I politely pointed out that the floor was dirty and asked if they mopped or hand cleaned they told me... "your prior cleaners must have been polish because Americans are not getting on their hands and knees to clean no kitchen floor... even the Mexicans won't do that...." I was appalled and insulted!! Regretfully I did not have a fit at that moment, but I politely paid them and escorted them out of my home. I immediately cancelled the service and asked the owner to call me back. I never received a call, but two weeks later I receive a bill for an additional $98 alleging that I owed them more $$ for canceling after the first cleaning. I couldn't believe it!!! I called the owner back a few times after received the "invoice" and left numerous messages and have not received a return phone call. I have never signed an agreement so I am confident that nothing is due and owing. Despite never having received a call back, within the next week I received a notice from a collections agency attempting to collect. I CAN NOT believe this company. Please please stay away from this company. The owner has never returned my call and now I am dealing with a false report to a collection agency?????? I am wondering if this is a fraudulent company at this point, and I intend to investigate further. Please save yourself this headache. read more

While the owners are very nice, the individuals they hire to clean your homes are not trustworthy. After only two months time using the cleaning service, we discovered prescription medicine missing from our home after a cleaning. I spoke with the owner was guaranteed that we would have the same staff cleaning our house in the future and the suspected staff would not be among them. I was satisfied with the cleaning, so I just decided to start hiding valuable or things I thought might be stolen. The cleaning staff was inconsistent. Often times bathrooms that we had paid extra to be cleaned weekly were not cleaned. While the owner often offered to have the cleaning staff come out again to do the incorrectly washed floors or unwashed bathrooms, I always denied the offer, because I did not want to have another set of unknown people come into my home. The last cleaning, I didn't have time to hide some of my more valuable possessions, and I had very expensive jewelry stolen from me. I will never again have strangers in my home to clean my house, I would rather have a messy home. I am fearful that identification or information may have been stolen as well, and I just have not discovered it yet. If you have anything of value DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before hiring The Cleaning Authority. I hired them because I appreciated their check list, I gave them 4 chances. I should have known they were not a good company from the beginning. Joe came out to do an assessment and I was intending on hiring them however my family got sick with colds so a couple of weeks went by and I never heard from them to follow up. When I did call Karen was oblivious as to why no one called. The first deep clean they did not clean my window in the kitchen, the toaster, the top of the microwave or the ledge in the pass through. The second time they came my neighbor texted my husband and said they left the garage door open while they cleaned. The 3rd time was fair but today was the last straw. My babysitter and children were there and the babysitter texted me and told me that the staff informed her that I didn't leave enough money and she needed to pay! I did leave enough money and whether I did or didn't they should not been asking my babysitter! I called and told them I no longer needed their services and Karen did not seem to care. I was originally very impressed with the expectations set out by the owner at my free estimate. I was disappointed with the results of my A &B cleaning. I was explicit in stating that if anything was broken I wanted to be told about it. I would not report them or expect them to pay for it. I could have broken something myself accidents happen I just want to be made aware. I found a button pulled off my drapes in my bedroom. It can not be repaired. I was not told it was left on the floor. The sink drain was not cleaned, nor was the window box or it's contents, or the grates on the stove. None of the bathroom soap dispensers were cleaned and the kitchen canisters had spots on them. They didn't vacuum behind three tables in the great room. I had done a paraffin wax in my master bath and spilled some wax that I hadn't noticed. When I went to pick something up off the floor there were several spots of wax on the floor that they had not removed. They were supposed to have deep cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen. They said that they would call to see how satisfied I was and if I was unhappy send a team back out to clean anything they missed. I never received a call. When I voiced my displeasure on the call to set up my next appointment they did take some money off. The next time was not much better. Again something was broken, a frame and not reported. The back of the toilet tank was left not wiped, bottom of the ettigee not cleaned, and a few other areas also. Furniture not put back in place in several rooms. Frustrating, and again after the last time the person setting up the appointment said she'd personally follow up and didn't. I expected to have them call Friday, Saturday or Sunday to set up another appointment. They didn't but just showed up at my door. With no call to set an appointment the day before or that day. When I voiced my displeasure the women said she'd call the company. They called and said they are clearly not the service for me. There was more each time but I won't go into it all.
