My mother needed a deep clean in her house. Her health kept her from cleaning much lately so I hired The Cleaning Authority. They did a deep clean once and then came one more time before she went to rehab, then hospice and has now passed. I'm in the process of clearing out her belongings and wow what a horrible job they did. Or more accurate to say neglected to do. Windowsills upstairs full of gnats and very obviously not touched in a while. Heavy cobwebs from the upstairs bathroom light fixture. I shouldn't have told them she couldn't go upstairs because it looks like they did minimal cleaning upstairs knowing she couldn't check it. Dust still everywhere. On her stove the knobs are so full of grime - and she didn't cook after she got sick. Just very obvious they did minimal work and got out. And took the $450 they charged. I'm disgusted and will never recommend them. Wish there was an option for zero stars. read more

I just want to leave a wonderful review for Jose and Adriana. We have used The cleaning for 3 years now and they consistently deliver. My wife has a disability and it makes it difficult for us to have enough time and energy to maintain the cleanliness of our house as much as we would like. I am willing to at least give one star due to the last person (Dave? ) I spoke with who seemed very sincere in my terrible experience with them. I committed myself to being at my place for the first cleaning as I need to show them where all the keys are, security etc. I flew back into Texas from a job just to be there. I was told at first 9 am. Then 11-12 and then 12:30pm Each time speaking to he dispatcher who claimed she was in touch with the crew. And they assured her of the time. When 12:30 rolled around I figured they had D#@& ed me over enough. Clearly, they were not concerned with making a good first impression-so I figure if that is how it is before they have even started...forget it. Complete disrespect of my time. No communication. We have an 1760 sq ft house. It is 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. 2 of the bedrooms (home offices) and the tub/shower in the hall bath do not get cleaned. We pick up all the floor mats and rugs and clear off as much from surfaces as we can. We thought this would mean the rest of the house would be handled better. There have been multiple occasions where our home was not left clean. We do not have time to keep having people come back or clean after their team leaves. I have a medical condition that inhibits my ability to do housework and other more physical activities. This was supposed to help us. We were very wrong. Maybe if the team spent more than 1 hour cleaning a home, it would be done better. The first 3 times were great. Then it all went downhill. Earlier this summer, the team did such a poor job that an inspector was to come the next time to check their work. We had to postpone a few weeks due to a sudden death in my family. For our September 6th cleaning, we paid extra to have one of our offices cleaned. My desk was left untouched. It was obvious that a rag was swiped across my computer speaker because you could see it in the dust. The inspector came through and ignored this! Yesterday, food was left on the stove, hair was on the floor in the main bathroom, food was on the kitchen floor, and rings were in our toilets. This is unacceptable. We have once again cleaned up after the cleaning team. That being said, we will not continue to pay $135 for a one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom apartment each time someone comes to wipe off a counter and move the dirt around on the floors. read more

We've had this company clean our house twice and they do a half baked job. Three people cleaned for one hour for $250. That's some pretty good money per hour. Didn't even touch one room, didn't wipe down the shower (still hair on the sill), didn't dust tips do bath backsplash, I could go on. They have their inspector drop by to ask how it looks. Haven't had a chance to see anything but there kitchen, which they did a really good job on. It's everything else that they don't do do well. Won't be using them again. read more

Absolutely the worst company service I have ever experienced. The cleaning staff are great but the ownership and management end of the company are terrible. Liz the front off manager is possible the worst person to be in change of customer facing contact. We had an incident where the glass was broken on our shower door back in Nov. No big deal it happens. However we are almost in to Jan with no resolution. Unfortunately this has lead me to now make my own arrangements to get this fixed and then I guess deal with the headache of having to invoice/bill these folks. Overall, I've been very pleased with the Cleaning Authority. Their cleaning staff always does a great job, and it's quite refreshing to come back from work to a clean house. Special shout out to Mayra and Felipa! Thanks for everything you do!! Five stars for service! NOTE: I'm only giving 4 stars overall but only because of pricing issues. Longer explanation below.... When I first used Cleaning Authority several years ago, the price was between $100 and $200 every visit. After about a year, I had to change service because I found it was just too expensive and I couldn't justify the expense. Then, for about a year, a friend of my mom's cleaned my house for a lot less money. She did a decent job but I found I missed the level of service provided by Cleaning Authority, so I re-hired them after my mom's friend retired from the cleaning business. I was very surprised to find that the cost of cleaning had basically DOUBLED. My finances are slightly better than they had been the first time, so I'm toughing it out, but I wish it were cheaper. On a related note: the cleaning schedule and costs are not "once a month" but "once every 4 weeks." This means that, from time to time, they will clean the house twice in one month. That's more than $400 in one month, which really hurts the ol' pocket book and makes it more difficult to budget for the year. Also, the cleaning visit fluctuates in terms of which week of the month they visit. I would much prefer the reliability of a "once a month" schedule, where it's always "first Tuesday of the month" or something similar, with only one charge per month. read more

Be very hesitant about trusting The Cleaning Authority with your home, your belongings, and your pets. On several occasions, they made scary mistakes that put my pets' lives in danger. The first time, the cleaners left my front door open when I was not home and left me a voicemail stating that they let my dog loose and could not find her. On the second occasion, over Christmas break they closed my cat into a small storage closet where she went without food, water, or toilet for 5 days. My vet bill was over $1300 and they refuse to take responsibility for this. One time they spilled cleaning fluid all over my shoe rack (which sits at my entryway). They ruined two pairs of suede shoes and when I showed them photos they said they could not do anything about it. I cannot recommend this cleaning company to anyone. read more
