I had an amazing time at this hotel. There will be hater reviews because people enjoy complaining too much. I'll do my best to give a balanced review. Very friendly staff. Clean grounds. Gorgeous views. Great spa vibes. The rooms are lovely. Yes sometimes you can hear the plumbing but it's not a moment ruining sound and it's short. Beds are very comfortable! Water pressure is good. The walk down to the beach is breath taking, just be careful in the water; it's a bit rocky (not a hotel problem). The pool and hot tub is where I spent most of my time. I do wish there were stricter no kids at the pool times so adults can enjoy the water in peace for a few hours a day, reading by the pool is hard when kids are screaming and splashing. Since this is a spa and hotel I think there should be a bit more structure to that aspect for the folks trying to escape and relax. There is a non enforced 9-10 pm hot tub adults only rule. The pool staff is great! They are running around taking your food and drink orders till 6 pm and bring it to you! Nice touch. The restaurant has great views and good food. I think since this restaurant is also a local spot they curate the seasoning to an older crowd so the salt was lacking, but easy fix, just add some salt to your food or ask for it to be seasoned well. The cocktail menu could use a revamp, not a dig on the bar tenders though; those folks were hustling and getting drinks out fast. The gift shop is great. Not worth the money for the condition of room. Cleanliness is important as well as safety issues. Read on to see what I am talking about. We have stayed at the SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel in Pismo Beach and absolutely loved everything about it. The room, the views, everything was so well cared for. But, we wanted to try something different and so we booked a night Aug 28 at The Cliffs Hotel and Spa. The photos of the pool at night were beautiful. Unfortunately, our stay did not match the photos. The pool at night did not look nearly as elegant as the photos. The view from our room looked down on the pool and out toward the ocean but it was not especially appealing due to a lot of concrete and walkways. However, the reason I am leaving this review is due to the lack of maintenance and cleanliness in our bathroom. Maybe if there was just one issue, I would have not posted this but you can see what we encountered from our photos. The first thing I noticed was the long crack in the sink extending outward from the drain. Not good. Then I noticed several large gray chips in the sink bowl and realized they were so deep that I was seeing the clay underlayer and that there were tons of smaller ones. So, yes, I counted them. I came up with 20 but I certainly could have missed a few. But really, this sink was in very poor condition. When I turned on the water is when I noticed the underlying grim and filth under the faucet handles. That's just the sink. When sitting on the toilet, if you had left the door open and now want to close it, that will be impossible because the designers allowed a full 1/8" clearance between the edge of the bathroom door and the front edge of the toilet. The distance of the reach to the toilet paper is the polar opposite. It is a very very long stretch since it is mounted on the vanity and the toilet is mounted extremely close to the bathtub. Getting into the shower you will experience a shower head that is not even attached to the wall. It extends out about 1 inch all around and when you touch the shower head, everything wobbles. It was also quite dirty. The issue that really made me want to post this review was the condition of the safety grab bar in the shower. Grab bars according to Lowe's "... improve safety by providing stability in slippery areas like showers and tubs." They should be able to support your full weight if a slip were to happen. This insecure grab bar is dangerous and could pull completely out of the wall during a slip or fall. I wanted to report these issues to the hotel but when I went up to the front desk on 2 separate occasions, I could not get anyone's attention. They were quite busy talking with themselves and also on their cell phones. Fortunately at checkout we were able to give them all of this information. The desk clerk's response was: "Okay, I'll let maintenance know." We have received no comment from them so we have no idea if anything will be corrected. You will read that they have electric vehicle charging. Turns out you have to pay $30 valet parking to use the chargers which they told us were very slow, in high demand and that there were only two of them. Nevertheless, they wanted us to use the valet parking instead of the free lot 1 minute away!!! Overall I think the place needs an update and clean up. There just does not seem to be a focus on the guests' safety and quality of experience. read more

Stayed here recently and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are phenomenal and facing the water is stunning! The sunsets were out of this world. We enjoyed the restaurant one evening as well and had delicious food and drinks while the sun was setting. Mariah was so helpful in getting us a table in the patio to see the sunset. Ben was so helpful throughout the dining experience and Vaughn and Angela were as well, very attentive, down to earth, and kind. They even have blankets for you if you get cold as the sun starts to set. The service was out of this world outstanding. Peter and Tyler from valet were awesome! They were so attentive, helpful, personable, and cool to talk to. Appreciated that Peter brought the bags up to the room too. Front desk shout out to Makennia and Rakhi for helping guide me with everything at the hotel and making the experience seamless. I also bought some stuff at the gift shop and Jessica was awesome and so fun to talk with while I was in there. Oh by the way if the restaurant is running the salmon dish special get it. That was a 5-star dish! Pool was great too! If you want a seat get there early but we didn't really need seats so just walked in and enjoyed the water and sun. They serve food and drinks to you poolside. This was a great spot, great value and location if you're wanting to be close to SLO. read more

I am writing a complaint regarding a deeply disturbing, discriminatory experience my mother and I subjected to at your property today, September 28, 2026, around 6:00 PM, as well as a shocking display of hostility from your acting manager on duty. We chose The Cliffs Hotel and Spa and Marisol Restaurant expecting premium hospitality, but instead experienced overt racial profiling, neglect, and aggressive customer service. Upon arriving at Marisol around 6:00 PM, we were met with a hostile, unwelcoming attitude from your hostess, Bella. She completely ignored our party and forgot to seat us. Meanwhile, we watched her actively seat multiple groups who arrived after us. It was clear to my mother and me that we were being targeted and treated differently based on our race. When I called earlier this evening to report this blatant discrimination, the acting manager's response was entirely unacceptable. Rather than taking accountability or launching an investigation, the manager dismissed the racist behavior by stating that Bella "was a child" and abruptly hung up on me. As a high-end resort, you charge a premium under the promise of exceptional hospitality. Employing staff who treat paying minority guests with contempt is a massive liability. Furthermore, allowing an acting manager to hang up on a guest reporting a severe issue of discrimination is a complete failure of leadership. Age is not an excuse for racism, and it is certainly not a shield for poor management. read more

I made a reservation around 11:30 PM and Rocky (who helped me over the phone) was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He made the whole process easy, was genuinely kind, and even got us into a ground-floor oceanfront suite at a discounted rate, which I really appreciated. We arrived around 12:30 AM and check-in was quick and welcoming. Valet is $30 and felt reasonable. The room: Spacious, clean, and much nicer than expected. I booked for the view without really looking at photos, so waking up to the oceanfront setup was a great surprise. The suite had two queen beds, a large jetted bathtub, a separate living room space, and a private patio that's just steps from direct beach access. Also pet-friendly, which is a big plus. Why we stayed another night: Once we saw the room in daylight, it was an easy decision to extend. Small things that made a difference: 12 PM checkout (huge--no rushing out the door) Text updates about hotel activities Complimentary morning yoga on the lawn overlooking the cliff Spa access + amenities I also spent time at the spa and really enjoyed the sauna (especially the eucalyptus cooling towels) which were such a nice touch after. One thing worth noting: if you book any spa service, you get access to the pool and grounds for the day, so even if you're not staying overnight, it's a great way to enjoy the property. Service: Consistently friendly across the board. Rocky stood out for being especially kind and helpful from the start, and the gift shop staff were so sweet and welcoming to my mom (it really made an impression). Second time staying in this hotel fir our work's conference. We had a good experience the first time last year and we gave it a good review so leadership decided to come back here this year. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We didn't get our room until after 4pm though. The food is delicious so that compensated for it all. Stained marble in the bathroom and wet towels as well. The bathroom was also just dirty in general with things such as tooth paste on the sink and walls. The parking was terrible unless you pay for valet they expect you to cross a busy street and the non valet parking near the hotel isn't avaliable over night. The water in the water was good. They didn't serve breakfast. Which was fine. And to top it all off the room was small and uninspired. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The pluses included that the front desk reception person, Angela, was great. Very courteous and she gave us good options for casual dining (what we were looking for). Our room was on the fifth floor, in the adults section only. They also gave us a nice complimentary basket of chips, jerky, popcorn, and flavored water. Nice touch! So nice to not have kids running up and down the hall, etc. the not so great side was that our room (508) had half our view blocked of the ocean, we saw more AC units on top of the roof than ocean. If you stay there, try and get room 500, my gut tells me the view will be much better. This is not the resort's fault, but guests had small dogs that kept yapping and destroyed the relaxed vibe. read more

Went to college at Cal Poly SLO so I was familiar with the Cliffs, but never stayed there until I returned about 15 years after I graduated. We stayed for Valentine's day weekend so the resort was fully booked and busy. Service: top notch. I have rarely received such great high touch service from all members of the staff, especially the check-in. Somehow they remembered by name after being there 1 night. They even were able to work out an upgraded room with a beautiful ocean view. Hotel: the hotel itself is beautiful. Very close to the path down to the water. The views and sunsets are unbeatable and breathtaking. If you're lucky, you can catch a rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base like we were able to see from the hotel. Parking: Valet was $30 a night. We decided just to park across the street and walk 5 minutes (for free). The Rooms: The rooms are nice but not over the top. The hotel has definitely been around for a long time so I wouldn't expect anything brand new or super luxury. The beds were amazing. I could sleep in those all day. Sliding door could use some WD40 and the bathrooms were a bit small/outdated. Our fireplace was a nice tough but would turn on and off based on the thermostat. The mini fridge is honestly a joke though.. you can maybe fit 2 bottles of water in them. They are MINI mini fridges. Some rooms have microwaves, some do not. If you can splurge an extra $75 for a nicer room on 4th or 5th floor, definitely do it for the ocean views. SO worth it. Bottom line: amazing property. I would totally stay here again but I know there are 1-2 other really nice ones nearby as well. Overall, you go to the cliffs for the views, service, and experience, not necessarily to be overly wow-ed by the rooms. (They aren't bad by any means but it's just an older property). What an excellent night of rest and sleep... we were running around all day and checked in late. All the restaurants were closed so we ordered the Hamburger and Fries from room service... We booked this hotel last minute and we loved it! The check in was easy we did have to wait until check in time but they held our bags while we waited. You do have valet or park down the street. Valet was quick and always had our car ready to go. It is an extra charge but it was raining when we checked in so we didn't feel like we had an option. The room was standard no ocean view. We were given the option to upgrade the room when we checked in but we usually don't spend a lot of time in the room. We did have an issue with the fridge in our room but they were very quick to come by and fix it. It had a microwave also which is nice to have. Good space and clean. The pool is heated and very pleasant to be in for this time of the year. The hot tub is great also. They have a server out by the pool which is very convenient. The fire pits are super nice but wish the seats were a bit more comfortable. The hotel has private beach access which was nice to go down to check out. Since we live practically next door, up Shell Beach Rd. a bit, we often stroll by here, when we go for an extended walk. It is inevitable to somehow cross paths with Cliffs, when one wants to walk down to the ocean....or cruise the promenade. On one recent walk we just happened to wander into their cute little boutique shop. It is not merely a pedestrian gift shop, but it is a rather classy shop in this hotel. My wife found herself buying a nice 100% cotton sweater & I found a bargain Pumpkin scented hand soap for our home. The lady who helped us was wonderful & we had a nice pleasant time in the store. We brief check out the grounds & reviewed the current menu. The Spa & pool looked appealing. Booked a couples massage here & was blown away by how amazing the experience was! Major shoutout to Larry & Monique, who gave us our massages. Originally, the massages were set to be performed outside by the cliff, but depending on the time of year & weather, they switch it to inside. Which was fine since it was a little chilly outside anyways. The outside scenery was absolutely beautiful since after our massages, we were able to roam the ground & use the pool/facilities if we wanted to partake. When you first get there, there is complimentary valet, & after going through the process, you are given robes & a locker to change into for your massage & then you get to the lobby where you're greeted with snacks/coffee or tea. After, you may sit in the steam room to start decompressing before your massage. My wife added on the back, hand & foot scrub which she says was perfect. After completion, we then added on the champagne & foot bath which you may soak in for 10 minutes. I recently got a spa membership and I absolutely love it! I've been shopping around masseuse's trying to find my perfect match. Yesterday was my second massage with Monique. Although I would still like to try out some of the other masseuse, I think she might be the one lol. It was one of the best massages I've ever had if not the best. I got a full body massage and I considered asking her to skip legs and arms and just focus more on my back and I'm so glad I didn't. I am a bit confused as to why this hotel charges as much as they do. It is a nice property, but the rooms themselves are nothing fancy. We had a room that was above the pool, and it was so loud even with our sliding door closed. I get that kids want to have fun, but screaming like wild animals is a bit excessive. Our second night here, our ceiling started leaking. A member of the staff came in, looked at it, and what did he do? He vacuumed the water and left. He didn't do anything to fix it, and it just started leaking again. The beds are very squishy, and the water pressure was not great at all. The beach access that is advertised is less than ideal. After you make your way to the bottom, you are greeted with little to no places to actually sit because there is basically no sand, just a bunch of rocks. It is a pretty view, but if you have kids and are hoping to build sand castles or anything like that, this is not your spot. Overall, we had a decent stay, but I would never come here again. read more

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and we couldn't have had a better time. When we arrived our car was valeted and we were greeted with complimentary champagne. Then as we got to our room they had a handwritten anniversary card, chocolates, and more celebratory beverages waiting for us. The room was clean and cozy with a balcony over looking the pool and ocean where we were able to enjoy our champagne and extraordinary views! Big shout out to Paulina for helping us book our stay to celebrate our first anniversary. We later went for a stroll on their stunning bluff with gorgeous ocean views. It is some of the prettiest coast line in the world and the fact that it is so close to home shocked us. There is also beach access from the hotel which was a huge plus. The beach is beautiful with tide pools, cool rocks, and some surfers. We dined at Marisol, which is their restaurant, and the staff was incredibly nice, all weekend. Everyone kept asking if we were celebrating anything and on multiple occasions were offered complimentary deserts. We had the best oysters we have had on the central coast! The pool was so fun, and we honestly hung out there most of the time. Owen was amazing and made sure we had the best time, always checking on us and bringing us drinks and snacks. Even on our last day they gave us key to get into the pool so we stayed for one last pool day. My wife scheduled a treatment at Dia Feliz Spa and she had a wonderful massage with Monique! The Cliffs Hotel and Spa is by far my favorite hotel in the Central Coast and we will be coming back every year. read more

I came here for my birthday weekend, the best part was the roses that my husband did in the room, extremely touching. Otherwise very disappointed. We have stayed in the lighthouse suite in the past, the prices have gone up. I can overlook that, there's inflation and I understand that. What I don't understand is why the fan will not cut off when the AC isn't running. This fan is loud and very annoying. I choose this room for the view and hearing the ocean. That isn't happening at all. I have spoken to the manager and maintenance. This is a terrible fault that this hotel needs to address It's not fair to the consumer to have to hear this. My best friend and I came here for my first overnight getaway since having kids. She had stayed here before, and had also had a great experience at the spa so we made an appointment. After coordinating our husband's schedules, we made appointments for massages with add ons. Me and my best friend who is almost 30 weeks pregnant, get to the spa early as we were so excited. Well, we were taken back late to our room for our massages and when we went in it had already been almost 10 minutes past our appointment time. The entire massage was rushed for us both. My best friend got a back scrub as her add on. The massage therapist had my pregnant friend hanging off the side of the table, almost 30 weeks pregnant, for back scrub. My add on was a scalp massage where it felt like my head was getting scrubbed like a kitchen sink. And before we know it our appointment was over. Afterward my friend wanted to soak her feet around 4:15 pm, where the front desk then came back to say that the spa closed at 5 pm. Another moment where we felt rushed and like service could have been completely different. After paying the spa bill and tipping 20% we both walked out and shared how terrible our service was. We went back to our room so disappointed. We then tried to contact the spa but they were closed and the front desk took down our concerns and told us we would receive a phone call back. That never happened. After checking out the next day, I then spoke again with someone who said they were the spa director only to be told she needed to gather more information. She disclosed that she confirmed from camera a footage that we were taken back late, and that the actual spa director would contact me the following business day. I never got a phone call back. Do not waste your hard earned money here. They will gladly take your time and money, but won't care about treatment or customer service. Will choose to stay elsewhere from now on. Do not come to this hotel if you have kids and want the kids to have fun at the swimming pool . It was around 8:30pm, the female manager came out and said "I got 2 more phone calls, customers are complaining that the kids are too noisy" and 15 min later, the manager came out again and said I got more phone calls. This is the weekend and it's before 9p. Do they expect the kids to be quiet and don't make any noise ?!? And who are those customers? The pool worker (lady) has bad attitude and look like she is mad all the time !!! You work at customer service , if you can't stand noise and hate customer service . Leave your job !! Our experience was less than desirable at the Cliffs and definitely not worth the price. Here is a quick breakdown of the good and the bad. Goods: -Location, literally right next to a coastal trail that takes you down to a small beach with great views. -Most of the staff members were friendly and polite. -Ample overflow parking about a few hundred feet from the hotel. Now let's get to the bad parts and why it's not worth the price: Bads: -View is not as spectacular as you see on other people's pictures or videos even though we had the Oceanview "suite" -The plumbing is LOUD. You better hope your neighbors don't take long showers or use the hot tub. Our neighbor decided to use the hot tub at 1:00 AM and we could hear the water going through the pipes for like 20 minutes. You can hear the toilet flushing too. - NO ventilation in the toilet. Good luck to everyone else in the room if you had to take a number 2. - The food at the Marisol restaurant is just plain bad. I don't understand how they could market the restaurant as a high quality restaurant when the food tastes horrible. The staff were all friendly though. -And yes from the other low star reviews, this place will try to charge you for everything and anything they can. Overall, it was not a great experience at the Cliffs. If we go back to have a quick getaway at Pismo in the future, we'll be looking at other accommodations. read more

Everything came out right on time. The staff was friendly, efficient, and totally in control. They ran the dining room like a winning campaign. No stumbles. The location is unbeatable. You're right on the cliff. Not near it. On it. You walk out the back and it's just you, the water, and the sky. It's inspiring. You take a few steps and feel like you could give a very important speech. That's how good the setting is. Five stars without hesitation. The Cliffs Hotel and Spa knows exactly what it's doing. The hotel itself is beautiful very clean and modern. Overall this is a wonderful property inside and out and the staff were all so very helpful and kind. Our room was spacious and clean having two queen beds and a balcony. Room service came everyday to clean the room and re-up the coffee, except the last night we were there, which was fine. We had everything we needed. We did try to get coffee from the lobby two days once at 10 & the next day at 9:30, both days the coffee was already put away. That was a bit of a bummer, but not a huge deal. They do offer valet parking at $25 per day if you don't want to park down the street we used valet but were told it's about a ten minute walk from the parking lot to the hotel if you do not. The hot tub and pool area are wonderful and have stunning views. You can order from the restaurant in the pool area and they will deliver it to you which was quite enjoyable to be able to have a nice margarita. They will allow you to also bring drinks into that area if you do not wish to use the restaurant services. At 7 the hot tub is adults only until 10pm closing time if you're not traveling with Littles. There are side walks lining all the properties so you can really enjoy the views if you take a stroll and there is also beach access to the right of the hotel down a flight of stairs. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to not being informed of the valet (we arrived late and it was handled a bit awkwardly) and one evening we were sitting in chairs on the property in the lawn at 10 and were told the property is closed so we couldn't even sit in the chairs facing the ocean. We felt that is no different than sitting in the lobby or on a bench out front. That seemed a little excessive, likely I'm being too particularly. As I said overall it truly was a wonderful experience, everything was beautiful and clean and all staff were very kind, we would return just now being aware of the level of expectation. read more

Do not stay here. This place is not worth your money. The valet took our bags and it took them 20 minutes to bring them into our room. I went into my room and there were skittles all over the floor by my bed. The rooms are dusty and there's a nasty shower curtain. The rooms smell musty. The beds are bouncy and not comfortable. Last day here and it has just rushed passed while we melted into this luxurious resort. Upon arrival our bags being sent to the room lacquered with rose petals. Pismo is one of our favorite vacation spots. We decided to plan a quick trip at the cliffs hotel and spa based on friends' recommendation. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a let down. The first day we checked in, we had kids from next door running back and forth, slamming doors and knocking on our door as some sort of game, without any supervision. That was not a good start of the vacation. But we did not want to let that affect our own experience. The view from the hotel property was amazing. I was unable to book an ocean view room but wished I had. There is a path you can walk along the ocean and across other neighboring hotels. So the location was nice. Our nightly rate was higher than usual so that raised my expectation. Our bathroom was so small, the door barely cleared the toilet to close. You could not have more than one person in the bathroom at once. I was surprised at the condition of the bathroom with rust around the hardware, mold around the shower tiles; given the higher nightly rate we paid for. Our toilet also flooded the second day we were there. It was stressful. The room itself had a constant water running sound, as if we were next to a washing factory. Our family could not sleep well with the rushing water sound and some pounding what sounded like buckets banging against our walls. Lastly, we had some restaurant charges billed to our room that was not ours. When I brought it up to the front desk, there were some questions asked, if I was sure this was not our charge. Yes, I am sure I did not order the two drinks from the pool side. Although they agreed to remove the invalid room charges, I felt slightly offended that they questioned me. Perhaps next time compare the signature and do some research before questioning the guests. read more

We stayed here because they are a pet friendly hotel. This was our first stay here and it was very pet friendly. When we arrived they offered our dog a treat and treated her so sweetly. There was a food and water bowl in the room and a pet bed. The room was very nice and comfortable. Lots of pillows and comfortable bedding. The location was gorgeous. We could walk down to the beach or walk along the bluffs. There is a restaurant on site and all the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel especially if you have a dog. read more

My daughter, Gina, was married at the Cliffs on April 19, 2026. Many of our family traveled from around the country and from Scotland to attend the wedding. Many of us had the experience of staying in the hotel. The valet staff greeted us with smiles, helped us unload many bags and were especially friendly to the many people that accompanied us. Although I might not remember every name... all these Gentlemen deserve recognition for their outstanding service! I especially remember a young man, named Jack that was truly helpful. He helped me get my grandchildren and their many bags to our room . Thank you, Jack. The front desk staff went above and Beyond'!! we were checked in efficiently and with warm, welcoming, greetings! They were flooded with many questions and needs from my family members, And always helped us to the best of their ability. Hats off to Rocky! His willingness to help was exceptional! The housekeeping staff, and I'm sorry that I do not have names, were called on plenty! blankets, trash bags, extra towel, you name it.! our needs were always met by this wonderful group of people! The husband and I have stayed here several times over the years and we typically stay in a different room type each time. (the other rooms are eh. Even their ocean view rooms are meh because of the pool and how loud that general areas is) The only other rooms we haven't stayed at have been part of the Serena collection but we plan on eventually staying in one of those too. This time we decided to splurge since I had always wanted to stay in their signature suites and I half hate that I did because I fell in love!!!!!!!!!!! This room (Sunset Suite) is lux and soooo spacious! It's seriously the size of an apartment! I forgot to take a picture overlooking the ocean but it was a sight to behold. Bed was comfortable, soaking tub was huge and they provided some bath salts. Shower had two separate shower heads and was spacious enough for you and another person. T.V's were probably the biggest ones we have seen in any hotel we have ever stayed at (and good picture quality). Only gripe is how loud the door shut but we made sure we were mindful of closing it gently each time we left. Unfortunately for our wallets, we plan on staying in each of their signature suites in the future and seeing how they compare. Would 100% stay here again. read more

The cliffs resort and Spa has been our Go to Pismo Beach resort for over ten years of California coast trips. We in fact brought our daughter and son-in-law who were visiting us from Germany for two nights while driving up the coast we stayed August 7 through the 9. This Pismo Beach Cliffs resort and Spa security is a joke: no card-key elevators, doors propped open by sloppy staff, anyone off the street can roam the halls. During our stay, the hallways were crazy with people, dogs, children and staff keeping doors open, trying to clean them and leaving the doors unattended, even though people have not checked out yet. You could clearly see no one were in some of the rooms and their possessions inside the room. On August eighth someone slipped in, dumped my makeup on the desk, grabbed my empty Louis Vuitton Neverfull pouch that my husband purchased for me on a special occasion at the cost of two thousand six hundred, now replacement cost of three thousand two hundred dollars and it has vanished. Thank God, my wallet was locked in the safe. We filed a police report and made a complete report with the hotel manager from a phone call from our room. No one came to meet with us face-to-face. when we checked out no manager met with us and no one said anything to us. No apology no nothing manager did nothing the employee at the front desk, just shrugged: Webasked for Video. And a complete report and they refused to give us anything no apology, say they're not responsible for their staff leaving your room and attended. We travel a lot and now I am fearful sleeping I'm having a very hard time thinking that somebody's gonna break into my room. This is not the luxury ocean resort that I once knew. The staff told me I should have locked up my valuables in the safe. How are you supposed to put a purse or a suitcase in that small safe? We left the room locked and someone used the key opened it Either hotel staff took my Louis Vuitton or they left the room unattended. Their answer that I should lock up everything that's of any value is Ludacris in what's supposed to be a luxury ocean view suite is not acceptable. And it's not just me-last month a guest on TripAdvisor is missing a Rolex from the gym locker room; Yelp has three others saying cash vanished from drawers while they swam. Hundreds of dollars of jewelry stolen. Brand new cell phone mistakenly left in car. Valet bringing the car to them and now their new cell Phone is gone. Theft's everywhere here, they know, they do nothing. People need to start reading the reviews and stop going here. At this point I think they believe that out of town And out of country guest once they're back in the state or country they don't do anything about it. Definitely got the feeling that this wasn't the first report of something being stolen from the hotel. May have also had something going on the same evening as when I called to talk with the front desk they asked me if I was so and so from a different room and I said no! How many reports of people's things being stolen do they receive? If you have anything of value do not stay here ! read more

Our family just spent Cal poly Graduation at the Cliffs hotel. Exceptional! While planning for the big weekend I worked with Kimberly & Melia. They organized the rooms, delivered welcome baskets, handled reservations for meals..we had 22 people in our group and they handled everything perfectly! We were so thankful for their assistance in planning a memorable weekend for our family! Over the top 5 star service... the grounds were perfect. We gathered at the pool during the days and family fire pit gatherings after dinner were priceless! We would highly recommend this location because of the staff, the group specialists, the great food, awesome and helpful bell staff..no detail was missed! We also had the Dads & Grads Brunch. I absolutely love this hotel! The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is top notch. From the valet attendants (especially Bryan) to the house keeping staff, everyone is beyond friendly and happy to help. Aaron was exceptional out at the pool and brought warm robes out to my daughter and I. We were treated like royalty. The room and our views were exceptional!
