I had reserved a night at Edgewater Inn & Suites months ahead for our 1-day stay to visit Pismo beach. I had an okay price for one night's stay. Looking at prices of other hotels as the date approached, the price crept higher. Edgewater Inn & Suites one big advantage is that it is just right on the beach. Step away from your room and your are greeted with sand an ocean. We very much appreciated this and kept it to our advantage. The con is that Edgewater Inn is really outdated. So much so that not only did the room looked tired, but also seen some patch work that is very much sus just to keep it operational. I won't go into details; our happy mini vacay at Pismo Beach evens out the deficiencies in our room. One bright spot I would like to add though is that the sheets and bathroom were clean.

The balcony on the second floor has sitting chairs to enjoy the view.

I've stayed here twice and enjoyed both times. The staff is very attentive and best of all they allow dogs at no extra charge. They are very pet-friendly. The first stay was upstairs with a view beyond the parking lot out towards the ocean. An elevator makes it easy to get your luggage upstairs. The room was large and quiet. The second time I stayed here was in a room downstairs with a little grass and flowers in front of each parking lot. Again, very roomy and clean with a microwave and a small refrigerator A table, chair and lamp was another nice touch. The beds are comfortable and the television with Cable can be viewed from the beds. The floors are clean which is easy to clean with pets in the room and the bathtubs were clean. The staff has helped take my bags to my room. Plenty of parking and within a short walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops are also close by -- located in the heart of the tourist area and the newly-restored Pismo Beach Pier. Very nice stays.

Disgusting! The folks have rodent poop in the beds! Customer service is the worst! Front desk refused to help and managers refused to speak to us. We will be calling the health department. We drove home instead of staying there in their beds with rodent poop. This place is disgusting! We drove over 3 hours for a vacation at first glance the room seemed ok. It did smell though. The lobby had dirty towels all over the floor which was gross. We were checked in to stay in the Edgewater Inn room 226. Our daughter opened the sofa bed and saw something on the underside of the mattress. At first she thought it was bugs but on closer inspection it appeared to be rodent feces. The front desk gave us another room to check out. They gave us room 339. We checked the sofa bed and it also had rodent feces under the sofa. There were dirty towels all over that room and it was much smaller than the first room. Front desk said they could not refund us and there was no MOD to talk to us. The front desk gave us not day. So, they spoke to the manager but manager could not speak to us? This wasn't the middle of the night. It was 7:00PM!!! No one offered to help us find an alternate place to stay. We were just stranded. So, now we are driving home instead of spending the next day at the beach town like we planned. We don't even know if they will refund. This place is disgusting and the customer service is worse. We will also be contacting the health department

Whole window seal detached and rolling up completely soft

Its a glorified hotel or inn & suites. Its a motel trying to look better. Seems like it but its not. You get what you pay for. Very thin walls. I could hear the next rooms cell phone vibrating. Dog barking next to our room as well. TOO MUCH NOISE. The heater was under the bathroom sink which didn't get hot. The floor look like worn wood. The remodel of this place is not good. Too many short cuts seen in the room.

    Bathtub was gross!

My partner and I visited Pismo for our first time and stayed at the Edgewater. It's ok but there were definitely things that were not good! Filthy chair pads!! Bed rolled away from headboard and we had to literally put our tennis shoes under the wheels to keep it from moving! The bathtub was disgusting. The tile was really bad. Chrome faucet rotted and rusted. Window stuck open 1/2 inch and it would be nice to able to shut the window due to very loud road noise. Took 15 min or more for water to warm up. Staff was nice but wouldn't recommend until some minor upgrades are done.

The Seacrest Ocean Front hotel is an absolute gem. From making the reservations over the phone to check in, the customer service was great. This hotel is very well kept and has free parking. However it does share with a restaurant at the entrance of the driveway so it can get full at times. Luckily, we were always able to find a place after coming back from a day of exploring. Beds were comfortable and the deck was perfect. We even had a seagull perched on the ledge on our last day. But let's talk about the view. It was absolutely STUNNING and worth every penny. This hotel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but you can get room service from the restaurant at the top of the parking lot. They also have a a bartender working outside of the lobby and she was so nice! Friendly and funny and just a great attitude. They offer $10 towards room service or drinks daily, which was nice and parking is free! The grounds are manicured beautifully and they have a pool and two hot tubs which were always in use. They also have several lawn games and direct access to the beach. I've never felt sand so soft under my toes. Next time we'll bring our beach chairs and make a full beach day of it. I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely be coming back.

I was initially undecided between a few different options, but ultimately decided to stay at Beachcomber Inn. I made a reservation from Friday to Sunday. I had already received an email confirming that check-in would be at 4:00 PM on Friday. However, around 9:00 AM that same morning, I received a phone call informing me that no one had stayed in the room the night before, and that we were welcome to check in at any time without waiting until 4:00 PM. As we all know, most hotels charge extra fees for early check-in or late check-out, so receiving such a generous offer without even asking was truly surprising and very much appreciated. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we were only able to arrive around 6:00 PM. When we got there, I learned that the person who had called me was the owner, Johnny. We had the chance to meet him in person--he is incredibly friendly, talkative, and genuinely welcoming. He personally showed us around our room, which made the experience even more special. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It's just about a block and a half away from the busy center of Pismo Beach, yet it is remarkably quiet. We had a very peaceful night's sleep, and the room temperature was perfect. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided--there was a coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, and the bathroom was fully stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower products. The room itself was spotless and in excellent condition. Additionally, the nearby beaches are only about a 10-minute drive away. We even went to the sand dunes and rode ATVs, which was an incredibly fun experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Pismo Beach. Check-out on Sunday was scheduled for 12:00 PM, but once again, Johnny reached out to let us know that no one was checking in after us. He kindly offered that we could check out anytime up until 6:00 PM if we wished. Just like the early check-in, this thoughtful gesture--offered without us even asking--was both surprising and deeply appreciated. He could have easily charged for this, but it was clear from the moment we met him that his priority is simply to provide excellent service and ensure his guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay. We would absolutely recommend staying at Beachcomber Inn when visiting Pismo Beach, and if you have the chance, meeting Johnny in person is truly a pleasure. From now on, we know that every time we visit Pismo Beach, we will choose to stay at this hotel without hesitation. Through this review, we would like to thank him once again and hope to see him again very soon.

Because of the construction the checkin desk is just inside the door adjacent to the tiny elevator. I was standing at the check-in desk and it is so close to the automatic doors that they just stayed open and it was cold outside. The luggage carts need to be updated. This sound trivial but they are so small, old/worn and don't have hook at the top to hang anything which would have helped given how small they are. Once we checked in I asked about a luggage cart as there were none to be found and the check-in clerk was kind enough to radio the cleaning staff to see if anyone left a cart in a hallway or in their room when they checked-out (I was told it happens). Shortly thereafter a member of staff came running by me in the lobby and took the elevator upstairs. Little did I know it was to get me a luggage cart that was found my cleaning staff. I was grateful for the effort and made my way to the room. I paid for a Deluxe Pier & Ocean View. I would suggest you get an Ocean View and skip the Pier View. Our room was the farthest most away from the ocean front of the hotel and so I had a good view of the neighboring hotel and could hear the children playing in the pool...not very relaxing and was louder than the ocean waves. The other complaint was that on the 2nd floor, where my room was located, my door was immediately next to the breezeway or walkway that is completely open to the breakfast area below so each morning I heard people in the breakfast area. I saw a door that could be shut to separte the walkway from the guestrooms but it was open for my entire visit. The elevators are extremely small and only 1 luggage cart and 2 people would fit. It is very old, slow and needs to be replaced. While I didn't use it the pool is heated and kept very clean. They offer electric bikes for rent with the first hour free. For the cost of this hotel I would have expected updated rooms or a lower price. I am looking forward to when the construction is complete as I would like to check out the new rooms.
