A few years ago, I went here and I enjoyed breakfast and some coffee. And wanted to get work done. It was a very busy place as well as a very noisy place. Sadly, I was unable to get any work done even with AirPods in. The one negative was how cold inside was. I very much so enjoyed the food that I ate and the coffee was absolutely delicious. The very first thing I noticed walking into this new café for me was the amount of dust and dirt. I did take a few pictures of this, but I will not be posting them. I considered walking out right then and there, what really wanted to give them a chance since this was new to me. Upon ordering the cashier noted that the pretzel bun was out and so we switched it with wheat bread because they felt the ciabatta bread would be too much. Not even 10 minutes later another woman was ordering a sandwich and the pretzel bun obviously was out and they offered her that choices of other breads, and she said she wanted ciabatta and the same person said there was no ciabatta bread. We got our drinks and eventually our food. The atmosphere with customers had a low hum of conversation and laughter. The workers however, were quite loud and boisterous, minus the one young man who seemed to be doing most of the work and keeping to himself. For $13 I received the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant bun with chips. That's what they offer as the side. The croissant itself was hard and un edible. The chicken salad was OK if you like water down chicken salad. But when I spend $13 on a meal, I kind of expect something better than just mediocre. It lacked flavor. We woke up exhausted and craving a coffee spot, so I placed a pickup order at Deer Creek. We'd never tried this place before and it piqued our interest. We ordered 2 coffees, a breakfast sandwich, and a lox bagel. The best items were my Iced Caramel Coconut Coffee, and the Lox on Asiago Bagel. Both were decent. On the other end, my Mom's BYO Breakfast Sandwich was quite burnt and the eggs tasted powdered. She also wasn't a fan of her Mocha. Mediocre experience at best, but definitely a fan of the Caramel Coconut Coffee. Not sure if I'd come back. read more

This establishment has been on my list of coffee shops and cafes to try for a while now. Decided to stop in on a quiet weekend afternoon. My lady friend (Red) and I love to try new to us places and have compiled a list of such. Well to start the parking lot for this establishment is tiny so coming here can be tricky, as you can park in the lot next door but your car could possibly get towed. Anyway back to the cafe, its a small place inside and while it's got its own eclectic style I cannot say its an eye pleasing style. Quite honestly seeing dust on shelves and hanging thickly fron the drop ceiling is rather off putting. I ordered a brewed coffee with nonfat milk, they were out of the milk so I had the coffee black. Red got a Carmel latte iced. Red also ordered a chicken salad sandwich and I ordered a ham n Swiss on a pretzel bun, oh wait they were out of the pretzel buns so make that wheat bread, chios come with the sandwiches and apparently straight from a bag. $45 with tip, that does seem a little pricey but it is the ladues area so not surprising its a bit pricer than other places. Sadly neither sandwich was impressive in any way and in all honesty its felt i have had better handmade and Swiss sandwiches at home. The chicken salad sandwich did look appealing but Red said it was not very tasteful, she was also not impressed with her iced latte which lacked any flavor. I always try to go to a place several times to try multiple items and draw a definitive ideology about the location. This time I think I will just stop at just one visit. read more

I hadn't been here in several years, which is why when I was meeting a friend I suggested we meet here. There was lots of seating. None of it was siftseat8ng for chatting, but there were plenty of tables for eating or working. I had the spirt iced tea, a flavorful tea that I thoroughly enjoyed. Trendy coffee shop but not a roaster. They don't offer pour over coffee but otherwise full range of lattes and smoothies. Restaurant lacks ambience and was freezing cold. Food was inedible but at least they happily refunded my burnt avocado toast they served with overcooked eggs. It was mostly bread, very little avocado and the egg only covered half of the huge pieces of burnt toast. read more

Our first time here. Looks can be deceiving because the outside looks a little sketchy. It is actually quite quaint on the inside with lots of seating. The menu written colorfully on the walls and has a lot of options. Service was great, everyone was friendly. I got an iced chai latte, it was perfect. Wish I would have gotten a bigger size. My daughter got the aloha pineapple smoothie, she loved it. For food I got the avocado toast. It is just that, don't think there was any seasoning. I'm glad we got pepper in the plasticware. Deer Creek Coffee is a lovely local spot to grab a cup of coffee. Heads up, their parking lot is very small so you might need to park next door. Once inside the shop, they have a large counter to order from and plenty of seating to choose from. They have a section in the shop with cards and they're very unique! I'd check them out and see if you need one for your next party/holiday. The staff I engaged with were quite friendly and conversational. I ordered my coffee to go on this visit and it came out fast, hot and delicious which is really all you could want. I would come again--next time to try their pastry/bakery items. read more

I love my coffees and chais that I get here as usual, but the food was subpar. I got their Thai Chicken Salad which should come with shredded carrots, edamame, peanuts, chicken, and their dressing. I got a bit of chicken diced carrot sticks and dressing. If you were out of the other ingredients that's fine, but tell your customer so I can order something else instead of paying nearly $20 for a salad where half of the ingredients aren't there. I wanted a small breakfast, with good coffee. I was looking for a "coffee shop", not an over commercialized Seattle based home of the six dollar frou frou coffee. This place has the look I expected. It is a little bit dark inside. It has a collection of mismatched tables and chairs. It has the menu written on the wall, and the staff has the basic college kid+ appearance. My bacon, egg and cheese burrito was substantial, and tasty. I opted for the Italian roast coffee (meaning a cup of black coffee, how else can you tell if it's any good). The coffee was robust, and hot. The only thing that diminished the experience was the food was served in a plastic basket with a strip of aluminum foil on it, along with a small bag containing plastic knife, fork, spoon, & a miniature napkin. The salsa (very good tiny serving) was served in a plastic 2 ounce container. There wasn't anything wrong with any of it, just not the full experience I was hoping for with real dishes and utensils. If I find myself in the area again, I would be happy to visit, and try something else. read more

I really just wanted a mid-day coffee, but was happy to find they had a variety of food menu options for all types of flavor palettes. Staff was very friendly, masks are currently required inside regardless of vaccination status, plenty of milk options for those that do not do traditional dairy, and my coffee come out very quickly. I used to love this place but I guess it's gone a bit down hill in the last year? First, it's 10 am on a Sunday morning. I went here to show my boyfriend this place because I used to love it! We ordered and paid a good 40 dollars for a burrito, a Caesar salad, and a black Americano. After paying, was told they were out of Romain Lettuce and Mixed Greens.... Pretty much every salad was either Romain or mixed greens as a base. The lady offered to either make the salad with only spinach or make something else which was nice of her to do and I appreciated that. We opted to just have the spinach which wasnt the correct choice. After getting our food and I started to eat my burrito (which was good) I noticed that I was eating literal paper..... they had left the paper wrapping on the cheese and put it in the burrito.... I notified the worker and told them to be a bit more careful when making customers food. The nice lady offered to remake the burrito which I agreed to and we left. Very unfortunate experience. Came here looking for a good snack. I did not find what I was looking for, but I was pleasantly surprised with my options. When I had arrived, the kitchen was closed. There were some pastries available and I chose Chocolate Bread, when I tell you, it looked just like chocolate cake, but it was so much better. It wasn't super sweet like cake can be, and it pulled apart easily just like bread. I have been thinking about this delighy since I left. I also did not want to get coffee since it was late in the afternoon, they had so many tea options! I have no idea what I ordered, but they had a special tea of the day or the week, and I believe it was lavender something. My favorite part of our, also was that it was not super sweet. Deer Creek Coffee is such a cozy and wonderful place to hang out with good friends. Inside carries a spacious homey atmosphere. I came with a friend on a holiday morning. Every table had people sit in, but we got lucky to get seated right away. I ordered a crepe the Ranger. My experience may be an outlier, but I feel Deer Creek is more like a wannabe Starbucks than a quality neighborhood coffee shop. I ordered a latte and my experience is that the beans ground for it seemed to have been over roasted quality, like a Starbucks. There were no hints of chocolate or caramel or anything other than scorched beans. Maybe I'm overly critical because I'm used to such great local roasted beans in the SoCal area we live. The interior also has the feel of an older Starbucks store - games and knickknacks for sale. The focus should be on the beans / beverages first and food second... leave the rest of the non drink / food stuff for Starbucks and Target. Overall I'd recommend almost any other local coffee shop in the area as there are definitely better options. read more

I was trying to online order coffee for my coworkers and myself. After at least 15 minutes and trying to use two different credit cards, my order continued not to go through. I then called the store four times (them only picking up on the 4th after the first 3 saying the mailbox was full) and they proceeded to tell me "oh we aren't taking online orders today." I was very disappointed that the online ordering platform still allowed me to create an online order and not tell me they weren't taking orders.
