I used to frequent here for the the hazelnut americano, ordered dry with I've cut back on having that much caffeine at once but occasionally I still pop in for my drink. Service is usually very friendly. A couple of times my drink was too bitter, and some of their other drinks are incredibly sweet and unsinkable. This was my first trip to this Coffee Bean location in Baldwin Park. I've driven by it a bunch of times on the freeway. Stores kind of small but there is a drive-through that looks like it's fairly popular. I have mobile ordered my drink so by the time I went inside, everything was already done. I tend to enjoy not having to wait so this was the perfect method for me I'm a big fan of their ice blended beverages and also their tea lattes. Coffee Bean does beverages way better than the mermaid themed coffee chain. What was a little bit concerning was the driveway getting out since there's a lot of cars going by on the small road if it's tough for people to get out especially if they were trying to make a left. Sorry to say This was the worst ever at coffee bean. Today Sunday we waited in the drive thru for over 30 minutes, and did not move at all! We FINALLY arrived and we had ordered ice tea with extra ice! Well needless to say the was NO extra ice or if there had been it was all mentes by the time we serviced. Worst customer service. I ordered a drinks with special instructions, apparently they were unable to honor it because it was an extra charge. But instead of letting us know when we picked it up, I had to drive all the way home and find out they just never added it. Horrible service, went in early on a Sunday morning with no one else in line, 4 people working and no one came to take my order or even said they would be with us for over 5 minutes. The girl filling the pastry case stood there and looked at us over 3 times before she asked if we were ready and then when I said yes she still continued filling the case and walked by us multiple times. Being 50% less sweet was still sweet. I guess I'm still a die hard SB fan. Inside was cool and comfortable. There were no napkins readily available, but the lady gave some upon request. So I was gifted a regular vanilla powder unfortunately I should only be using the no sugar added kind. We tried out the cookies and creme ice blended and mocha ice blended. The cookies and creme was quite tasty. I love how you can taste bits of the cookies and it adds a great texture. It is silky and yummy! As for the mocha ice blended, this was such a refreshing drink. It gives me a good amount of caffeine without the overbearing taste of coffee. The only thing I did not like was that there was way too much ice in all drinks except for the cookie butter frappe . The ice occupied 70% of the glass and there hardly was any beverage after a few sips . They should probably let people know that in advance or probably give a choice to go light on ice. The Oreo cookie shake tasted like water, like it was all ice and a splash of milk blended. The food item, very bland and cold. The cookie butter latte I kid you not, smelled and tasted like vomit. LIKE ACTUAL VOMIT. My boyfriend will eat and drink anything you put in front of him and even he was disgusted himself. Idk if the milk was expired or if they cleaned a machine with a nasty wet rag? Nice location, friendly staff, their cookie butter latte was delicious! Only docked a star because they don't really have a lot of charging areas. From what I noticed, there was only one large table with access, it had 3 ports set up in the middle. It's very convenient but no privacy if anyone sits there to charge. You're literally sharing a table about a foot or two apart. My friend and I shared it with a gentleman. He kept to himself while he was there but I felt bad because we were studying and discussing and I was worried about being too loud for him since he was RIGHT THERE. lol. read more
