It can get quite busy, so bring headphones if you plan on getting work done. The service is almost always usually very friendly, nice, and upbeat. This most recent time I went, the workers were no where to be found and I was left standing there for about 5 minutes holding my chicken bacon baguette waiting for them to help. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is my favorite SoCal based coffee shop. The Bay Area used to have a few locations but closed when the pandemic hit. Once I saw there was one in Fresno I was elated, I'm in Fresno frequently so I was bound to go here. This is located in a cute and fairly busy shopping center and they are often packed. Every time I've been here it's been bustling with people which is a good sign. They have a variety of drinks and usually have some seasonal specials as well. I've had the Spanish Latte which was seasonal and I've also had the Iced Caramocha and they've both been amazing! The drinks are the same delicious drinks I remember from the SoCal locations. I wish there were more locations because this is a really good coffee shop and is super underrated. This is definitely my go to spot when I'm in Fresno. read more

We've stopped here plenty of times and always enjoy their drinks, but their "to go"cups are really flaky. Their flimsy and the lids fit poorly. I picked mine up and the lid popped off and about a quarter of the cup spilled in my car. Getting my drink was the highlight of my day! I placed a mobile order and en route to pick it up, my brakes in my truck went out. 45 mins after my order was supposed to be picked up, I finally made it to the parking lot closest to Audobon & Friant. Once I got the truck parked and dispatched a tow, I gave the coffee shop a call. My mom used to be the manager at Starbucks and ai was hoping their customer service policies similar... As happy as I'd been going to this place, they've worked their way out of our interests. From a lack of options for espresso (regular, decaf, or cold brew), to the concept of restrooms to look at but not working, (please don't tell me they're hiding the fact that they don't have hot running water... at a coffee shop.) we've had bad customer service with attitude about asking for decaf to attitude on the receiving side when confirming that it is decaf. All because they've given us caffeinated twice. (Sleep really sucked that night.) Our kids like their Salted Toffee blended and Pure Mint Chocolate Ice Blended drink. They like the taste, so we will give them half a star for that. Which lands them at 1 star still. And all this after what "looked" like a change in management and staff. I visited this location at 4:30 pm in the afternoon on a Friday. The place was immaculately clean, with only three people inside. All the shelves seemed adequately stocked, and all the pastries seemed to be meticulously placed. However, the bananas looked like they were rotten with massive black spots and were reafy be used for banana bread. I ordered the tropical ice tea, and it was just OK. I was actually really surprised that tea like this wasn't sweetened. Don't give me wrong, I enjoyed the tea, but I wasn't even offered sweetener. It's a minor thing; maybe this is just more of a coffee shop than a tea place. My guest and I stayed for a couple hours chatting, and after about 30 minutes we were each so cold that we began to shiver & have goosebumps. Thankfully neither one of us were wearing shorts or sandals. I definitely wouldn't have stayed here as long as I did had a not been thoroughly enjoying the person I was with. Known still by their original name, the Ice Blended, you will be hard-pressed to find a café that makes a better frappé under $6. The Cookies & Cream, Cookie Butter and the Original Mocha are all highly recommended. TCBTL is known for their handcrafted coffee drinks made from top-quality Arabica beans using European style and design and serving some of the finest teas from East and Southeast Asian countries. I ordered an almond milk chai with white chocolate and it was the worst chai I have ever had in my life. I was a barista for 5 yrs so it just makes it that much worse. It is extremely watery!!! I paid $6.95 for basically water. I understand that making it from loose leaf will make it less sweet compared to other places but they could have steeped it MUCH MUCH longer. It tastes like the melted ice you get after you drank a whole chai already... when I asked for a remake or refund they said all they could do was make it sweeter. -10/10 don't recommend, maybe get something else if you go. The last two times including today, it just tasted awful. I've dumped it both times. I'm so disappointed. I'm not sure if beverage quality is checked often or not but some thing to consider. I mostly do delivery but today I did in person. Twice I've either not gotten the pastry I ordered or a different pastry with no note.
