CBTL has a little known "perk" of offering refills on a basic coffee or a basic tea for $1. It's a great offer, but sadly this location does not honor the offer like the locations that I visit in the South Bay. I ordered a large ice coffee with an add of no sugar added vanilla powder. That's it, coffee, milk, and the powder. Simple, right? Well, I get my drink and run a few errands. Before heading to the West Valley, I stop by for a refill. I know that the modifier is excluded on the refill. All I wanted was coffee and milk. The staff said that was not allowed. Interesting how other locations allow basic coffee refills applied to original modifier orders and even lattes, but here... kick rocks I go out of my way to hit this location. Now, no more, I'm a Koffi patron now. Oh, the refreshed interior is already looking shabby... seriously, get some touch up paint for the walls, wipe down the tables and chairs, and mop that filthy ass floor!! read more

I stopped by earlier this week to get my usual coffee but my goodness, the heat inside nearly did me in. Their air conditioning was clearly on its last legs (if it was working at all), and the whole place felt like a greenhouse in July. Now, I'm not one to complain lightly. I've lived through plenty of summers without modern conveniences, but when you're paying nearly seven dollars for a latte, I do expect to enjoy it without perspiring like I've just run a marathon. The poor young lady behind the counter looked absolutely flushed, and I couldn't help but feel for her. Honestly, it's not fair to the staff either. That said, I will give credit where it's due--the coffee itself was quite good. Smooth, rich, and made exactly how I like it. If only I could have sat and savored it without my napkin sticking to my wrist. I do hope the owners address the situation soon, because it really is a lovely spot with potential. But until then, I might wait for a cooler day... or perhaps bring a little handheld fan in my purse next time. read more

This place is slow as heck. After you pay they are lucky since people just stand around chatting with strangers. The staff are all over the place when it comes to filling orders they are CONFUSED most of the time. Pickup orders and store orders is a joke. It seems they fill the takeout orders first while we watch them being placed under the counter. Please hire more people and be certain you pay a living wage for this. Place more ads and let corporate know your issues. You get lucky because the social hour keeps down the frustration. You need at least a good 30 to 35 minutes of waiting time so don't go in there rushing. No more going there for us until you ramp up hiring. read more

As you may know from my other reviews, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is my favorite coffee spot. I was in Orange County for a couple day meeting and of course had to get my ice blended mocha in the mornings. This location is a few miles from my hotel and there was another coffee shop on site at the hotel, but I still had to make the trip to get my fav. Ordered on the app of course so I can just walk right in and grab my drink, no waiting, just in and out. Service is fast and the staff had it ready on time. Bonus to also using the app, not only to save time, but you can earn free drinks as well for using the app. The store is clean and open, looks like many other locations, always nice inside. This location does not have as many seats as other locations, but enough I guess. But as I said, always my goto. Enjoy! read more

Went to Coffee Bean today for my usual, the store is always going to be busy on a Saturday afternoon but I was not prepared for a busted Ac?! The store was incredibly muggy and uncomfortable it was horrible! Poor baristas were sweating a storm as they worked as quick as they could given the conditions. Today my Husband went in for some coffee. As he was waiting for our drinks he noticed a gentleman accidentally drink from one of our drinks. His wife immediately noticed that it was not their drink and she advised him that he had accidentally drank from our drink. He went to an employee and let her know that he drank from our drink. The employee took the drink from him, emptied out the cup and began to make the new drink in the already USED cup! She then finished the drink and called out my husband's name. My Husband watched the entire incident occur and advised her that he watched her not dispose of the USED cup and just remake the drink utilizing the same cup. After realizing she had been caught, she then offered to make a "new" drink. I wish we caught the name of the employee but, this is absolutely not acceptable! THAT IS EXTREMELY DISTURBING AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. That is a health issue, someone DRANK FROM A CUP AND THE EMPLOYEE REUSED THE SAME CUP! There needs to be severe re-training. Ordered online in the parking lot. Waited the 5 minutes it said it would take to prepare drinks. Went inside and waited another 20 minutes. There was 1 girl making drinks. She kept shouting out that she apologized for the wait time & they were short staffed. It was awkward and you could tell she was overwhelmed. We waited 25 minutes total for 2 mediocre drinks. Whenever I am Palm Desert I come here every day for coffee. Their coffee is so yummy. They use a powder flavor instead of syrup in their drinks and it's way better for you than the syrup. The service is amazing every time and the employees are very friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating at this location but no drive through. There is plenty of parking. The inside is always clean and has your standard coffee shop setting and decor. read more

Had a meeting here today, but because it was hot I just wanted a sparkling water like I've had here before. The cooler didn't have any in it so I asked if they had some. They said, "Yes but it's room temperature." I replied, "That's okay I can just pour it over ice." The person went to the back and brought out a bottle and then charged me $.25 for the cup because I wanted ice. I asked, "Because your product is warm I have to pay $.25 for to get some ice for it?" And they said it is company policy. It's certainly not that I can't afford $.25, this is just terrible customer service. And if it is truly a company policy there is a lot of rethinking the company needs to do. I've learned I cannot order in the mornings before work because it takes 30 mins for my coffee and the barista was overwhelmed. I love the Coffee Bean! I appreciate a nice frap on a hot day, but the Coffee Bean's Original Iced Mocha blows the rest of these chains' fraps out of the water. Their original iced drinks are superior to that of Starbucks, IMO. The crew is wonderful and friendly.
