Wallet in Palm Desert, I needed a coffee so I went to this store to satisfy my urge. A lady at the counter greeted me warmly, and my coffee was served quickly and with a smile from the other lady. There were several people sitting inside working on their computer, making themselves at home, which tells me they are welcome in this warm environment with no rush to get out. It is conveniently located in a shopping center with a grocery store and a pharmacy as well as other businesses so you can get what you need with one stop shopping. Enjoy! read more

This review is specific to the manager, Stella and her alone. I was on a business trip with a crew of 14 in Palm Desert. I was obtaining coffees and breakfast items for 4 days in a row at this specific Starbucks location. Our crew travels the country and have visited a plethora of various Starbucks in different states. Our whole team enjoys Starbucks, in fact one of our part-time employees is a barista at a Starbucks in Nevada. That being said what we have learned is to call Starbucks a few days in advance as a courtesy, and speak to the manager to let them know we will be placing large orders via the Starbucks app several days in a row for food items and coffees during our stay. Thus far every manager we have reached out to in advance, has appreciated our phone call. ( total amount spent on this business trip at Starbucks was $495 pre-tip.) including tip far above that. You can only order 12 items in the app and then you have to start a new order for the remaining items. We were averaging three separate online orders each morning. The issue was this with Stella. Stella, you agreed to have me place our orders and hold it before processing for a short time before pick up. You also agreed that I could call you to ensure all orders were received. The first day went very smooth so thank you for that. The second day when I repeated the same process, and I called you to confirm, you informed me that my orders were a nuisance. Your exact word "nuisance". I followed the same protocol as the day before. Why was it a nuisance? What was a nuisance on my end was that you and your team neglected to fulfill our order in its entirety the second day. That meant some of my crew went without breakfast and our morning meeting was late. A team member had to return to your store for the missing items. These are things that we specifically try to avoid by calling ahead and making arrangements ahead of time. Needless to say we did not return on day three or four to the store you manage. Rather, we visited another Starbucks location with a manager named Edgar. He and his competent employee JoJo were kind and eager to help us which is our usual response from Starbucks. This is a experience that simply should not have happened. In fact, it was quite surprising and I was taken aback by your response. Thus the two star review. read more

My boyfriend ordered 2 drinks. One for himself and one for me. His drink came out perfect and even had a smiley face on the cup. Mine, on the other hand, came out looking like a moldy disease. He ordered me an iced matcha latte and it was literally not even blended... I took a sip and my mouth was immediately filled with a huge chunk of matcha. I gagged. This review is regarding the service this morning. I witnessed a gal (presumably new) named Alexis get bullied by another worker named Lex. I know this because of the name tags. Alexis simply asked her coworker a question or two and Lex's response repeatedly was, "you should know this," and intensely rolled her eyes. If anyone has any empathy they couldn't help to feel sorry for this girl taking the brunt of her attitude. This store is on the smaller side, and it doesn't really have a lot table space if you've come to work. But who are we kidding? This area and the clientele are primarily retirees or people on vacation. I don't know if I've even seen anyone set up with their laptop. My father is a resident and I've been here during high and low season, and there is definitely a difference in the vibe. The location is right in between several mid-level hotels; Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc. and it is really the only coffee shop servicing said hotel guests. During high season it gets extremely busy, with long lines, no place to sit, and full trash bins. Someone else mentioned that there were only a few small tables outside. It would be a great idea if they expanded the outdoor seating area, even at the expense of a few parking spots, and turn it into a proper patio. It would make it a nice place to hang out, but really it seems most people are just picking up their drinks and getting on their way to golf or tennis or whatever else brought them to the desert in the first place. Given how busy it gets, you might wonder why they don't expand to handle the crowds. Well, once the temperature creeps up to 90 degrees and beyond the crowds thin out and the vibe is much more relaxed. Laid back, even. The coffee is good and the quality consistent, as you expect when you go to Starbucks. Overall it's a decent location. read more

I've tried so hard to give this Starbucks location the benefit of the doubt. This location is right around the corner from my house but I'm going to have to go out of my way now. They are just sooo slow here! I believe it's because they are inundated with mobile orders. I can't get out of this location in under 20-30 minutes. My experience here was just "meh". Don't get me wrong, the employees are super friendly - but the turnover rate & the quality of drinks is just average. I love the option for indoor & outdoor seating, however I'm not a local so I don't feel like drinking hot coffee, in blistering hot weather. Iced coffee - definitely should have more coffee than ice (this is a hint ALL Starbucks should take into account.) Odd location, it was tucked in the corner with very little parking. The outside table and chairs on the side of the building were extremely dirty, with no trash can (there was a bit of trash around). We walked inside and the store was clean but we weren't greeted. One of the staff members was not friendly when we had asked when the transition of cups would be. The drinks were of course great, but the customer service and trash around the outside were a bummer for us. We did pick it up as well. read more

Worst customer service in 100+ STARBUCKS I've purchased. So bad that this is the first review I've ever done. No respect for people who order in the store. I ordered a black coffee with 2 add shots and watched my cup sit on the counter untouched for 6-8 minutes. I politely asked for them to add the shots so I could leave to my appointment. The 3 ladies behind the counter were not helpful at all. The system where app orders supersede actual people who ordered in the store needs to be fixed. By the way I was not alone with other walk in customers irritated with the lack of simple customer service from behind the counter. read more

The location is the corner spot in the Albertsons complex, usually easy parking in close vicinity to the entrance. The store is okay at best and is popular among those staying in the several hotels in a quick walking distance from the front doors. The layout of the location was improperly designed and obviously not designed for the customer numbers that they experience on a daily basis. The flow from the till to the nonexistent waiting area for your drink to be called. Seeing as typically all seats are taken at any given time and you are basically standing elbow to elbow with half a dozen people in a space less than ideal and even less than acceptable. Have you ever tried being in the back of those seven or eight people who just stopped closer to the bar, pushing though nicely to get your drink when called isn't easy or a comfortable experience. A redesign of the store for a less restrictive and more flowing way of things operating at this location would be lovely, but know that's never gonna happen. Advice: unless your a hotel guest nearby, is advise a different location than this one for your brew needs! read more

WATCH OUT FOR THE NAILS IN THE PARKING LOT. So many contractors park outside and drop nails EVERYWHERE. After 3 flat tires I said "fuck this" because I couldn't afford another flat tire. Bought a new set of tires last Wednesday, by Sunday a big fucking nail in the front tire from that goddamn parking lot. The contractors in the desert are drooling idiots, keep your nails in your stupid trucks. Don't park anywhere near contractors work trucks here, you are guaranteed a flat if you do. I have actually come to this Starbucks after another Starbucks made my drink incorrectly and they fixed it for me free of charge which was so nice of them to do. I have used the Mobile order once and hand no problem, when I arrived my order was waiting for me at the pickup counter, I don't use it often only because by the time I get there it isn't overly crowded but I would use the Mobile app. If I was going in during a high traffic time.
