I went with my girlfriend to The Coffee Fox while we were walking around on a Saturday afternoon. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait - nothing unexpected at a local coffee shop, though. I ordered the hot Mexican Mocha Latte and my gf got an iced Horchata Latte, both were made with whole milk. We also got a peppermint chocolate scone to share. Overall, the best thing about this shop is the value. For all these plus tip, we spent around $20. On the flip side, everything was just okay. The scone was cakey and bland, though the icing on top kind of redeemed it. To be fair, they get their pastries from other local bakeries so they can't really be blamed for that. The horchata latte honestly just tasted like a normal iced latte with some vaguely almond flavoring and was pretty gritty. The Mexican mocha was...surprising. Instead of the usual chili powder, they used habanero for spice and it was certainly an interesting choice. My girlfriend was glad she decided not to order it, but I did finish it. Unfortunately we both agreed almost immediately that we probably wouldn't go back, though it wasn't a hard pass, just not a place we would go out of our way for. read more

We went to another local shop expecting homemade pastries, and they were very lack luster. We came to The Coffee Fox after doing some shopping and found the phenomenal pastries we were looking for. He got a large drip coffee, I got a small, but I love LOVE LOVE espresso spritzers and they had one with real orange. I think that it now my new favorite. We were quick to get our order taken and also our drinks. They asked if we wanted our pastries warmed, heck no! Don't ruin a nice crisp and flaky croissant. It's perfect just how it is. I love, love, love local coffee shops! Coffee was delicious here, so check it out when you have an opportunity. I ordered a hot, caramel latte and a fig scone. If v you can, try to decide on your order before you get to the counter so that you don't take too long and hold up the line. I say this because there isn't too much space for a long line and it seemed as if customers were milling around the order counter in close proximity. Baked goods are displayed in a very tempting way! Stopped in this m coffee shop in downtown Savannah for an afogoto. It was delicious because it was quite a hot day. Picked up a couple of day-old pastries, which were half off. And then the next day and they were actually pretty good. One was a scone and the other one was like a Hawaiian kolache. Coffee shop was really cool looking inside with the fox motif. Our server was very nice and very helpful when I asked her about different things on the menu. If I'm ever in Savannah Georgia again, I would like to go back and visit and try some other coffees and menu items. read more

Each time we pass through or stay in Savannah we've always stopped in here for Coffee... first time back in 2013 and the latest was a few months ago. This time I arrived and the place still looks the same with new flyers and stuff on the walls. The menu seems to be generally the same (which is a good thing). And the staff was once again very nice... We ordered a Cheese Danish to share (which happened to be very good though my husband seemed to love it). My husband had their Cortadito (he said he thought it was very good) and I had their Matcha Latte (which I didn't love). I still think Coffee Fox is excellent and worth the visit, but I would recommend their regular coffee drinks. read more

Coffee here is on point. I'm a flavored oat milk latte kind of girl, but so many places use cheap syrups which ruin the coffee. Not this place. They only have a couple of flavors, vanilla and caramel. They use the good stuff, caramel sauce which tastes like chewy caramel. Service is friendly. Apparently the lady in the hat was in a terrible mood and just slides my coffee up with no lid. This is one of my favorite spots in Savannah to chill, literally because they have AC which is amazing in the heat! The food is terrific, especially the pastries and the coffee selection is great- I'm a fan of the cold brew. They also stay open till 9pm most nights after most of the shops close and have a decent selection of local beers in cans. It's great for people watching and for a recharge plus the staff is super friendly and there's a bunch of varied seating and free self-serve iced water. read more

Gave four stars, but it's really a 3.5--everything was ok, but not anything super memorable besides the espresso tonic, which was new to me. Located on Savannah's busiest street, its the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. We went around 1:30pm for a late lunch/afternoon snack and the place was still packed. Loved the cute and cozy interior, but we ended up sitting outside because dogs aren't allowed inside. COFFEE: The coffee menu was fairly basic, so we ordered what seemed like specialties--horchata latte, mexican latte, and espresso tonic. The lattes were fine, but definitely could've been better. The mexican latte especially was quite mono-flavored and has a spice (ginger?) that hits the back of your throat. I would've liked more cinnamon and nutmeg, but my mom enjoyed it. The horchata latte was good as well, but it tasted more like a latte with rice milk than actual horchata (cinnamon was nowhere to be found). The espresso tonic was such an interesting concoction--the bitterness of espresso, tartness of sparkling water, and a hint of citrus from the orange peel (cocktail inspo?) BAKERY: There weren't many bakery options left by the time we got there, but still a respectable array of options. We ordered a pain au chocolat, a ham and cheese croissant, and a cheese quiche. Overall, the croissants were quite buttery, to the point of oiliness and un-crispiness, but the flavor made up for any textural disappointments. The quiche, however, was perfectly mundane and tasted like a glorified scrambled egg (there's nothing wrong with that, but c'mon, it's a quiche: where's the creaminess?). read more

LOVED IT! The Mexican mocha was great. They were able to do a decaf iced one which was great for the hot day. Most important it was not too sweet and had a lot of flavor. Hubby got the nitro brew and said it was also good. Overall we loved the service. Both baristas were very knowledgeable about all the different drinks.
