Old school coffee shop with low prices to match! Single barista managing what seems like a primarily locals crowd. I had a breve and it was the best I've had in some time. Worth the stop. Refreshing to see a coffee shop that maintains focus on product.

This was my first visit to The Coffee Grinder. You can tell immediately that this is a coffee shop embraced by regulars. All of the outdoor tables were occupied despite there being plenty of available indoor seating at the early hour. The vibe was cozy, casual, and friendly. They offer a wide variety of coffee for purchase by the pound and a case with a few sweets to select from in addition to their specialty drinks. The pricing on their drinks is outstanding! I went with an iced chocolate mocha & it was great. The mint wasn't overpowering and the chocolate was dark and rich.

I've been here time after time and figured it's about time I leave a review! I love this place! The owner is super sweet and loves what he does. They're super quick and friendly here. The atmosphere is AMAZING! It's the best place to come study, chill, and even have a drink as they serve wine! Or if you fancy a cigarette, there's places outside to sit and have a smoke with friends. I asked the owner about his bakery items one day, and he said they're all locally made. Which made me so happy, because they're absolutely DELICIOUS! One of the best tiramisu's I've ever had, seriously. They also offer beans for sale by weight, and offer whole bean or ground. I hate to give this hidden gem more attention, due to the fact I'd like it to be my own little secret, but they deserve all the business jax has to offer :) I tell all my friends about this place, it's about time I told Yelp

This is the only late night coffee spot I've found in Jacksonville, open until 11:30 pm. I got some work done here earlier this week at a table right next to their power outlet! My laptop was happy ! The vibes helped me knock out pages for my latest screenplay in my 2 hour sitting. Add Coffee Grinder to my list of coffee shop thank yous for writing inspiration. And their cheesecake is excellent! Thank you Coffee Grinder! 5 stars Yelpers!

My first two visits have been excellent. Great tasting, good quality coffee and delicious pastries are served. The interior and outdoor seating is comfortable, clean and spacious. I love the old school, chill and relaxing vibes during my recent visits. A lot of regular customer traffic with friendly conversations. Owner and staff are courteous and professional. Wonderful coffee shop conveniently located near many other types of businesses. Highly recommend and look forward to seeing you there too!

    Tiramisu and large cappuccino!

This place is amazing! We've come to this area so many times for our daughter to practice and play at JJVA and am sad that I didn't know about this place sooner! The tiramisu was the best I've had in YEARS! Maybe ever. The cappuccino was equally as delicious! Definitely come here! You won't be disappointed!

Good to find a spot that opens late for coffee and treats. The place is at the shopping center where Rowes is at. Bon appetite!!

Great place! I met a Yelp friend here. We were going to have coffee, but we ended up choosing Chai tea. It was delicious! The indoor seating was nice and cozy. Outdoor seating was plentiful. I bought the Tiramisu for later and I bought a sandwich to take to work the next day. The lady was wonderful, who waited on us.

I've been wanting to try this place out, and today I finally did it. I told myself "you know, you've been working hard, let's reward yourself with a latte." Hahaha weird reward to myself right? But hey, it's the simple things in life that we tend to forget that makes us happy. And this latte made me happy. The place is a small little coffee shop. It gives off a comfy, chill, relaxing type of vibe. There are seats for you to sit inside, and if you don't want to sit inside, there are tables and chairs for you outside to enjoy the fresh air and people watch, because you know, that's what we do when we sit outside. For my order, I got a chai tea latte. As matcha as I love a matcha latte, I sometimes chai away from it. Well, too, it's also because they didn't have any matcha options, hahaha. But if they did, I would matcha latte love me a matcha! The first sip got me good! It was so hot that I felt like I burned my tongue a little. Lesson learned, don't be too excited for hot things. It will burn you. But all in all, I let it cool down a little and tasted it again. You can taste the spice in the beginning, but gradually it fades away the more you drink it. Probably because most of the spices were on the top. Overall, it was a good decent chai latte. Next time I would have to venture out and try other flavors.

The customer service is excellent. Great Vibes. I just had the most delicious white chocolate latte w/ espresso added. I am very picky with my coffee and this was rich and fresh and I wish I got a large instead of a small. I added 2 sugar packets to it and it was perfect. Ps. It is very very hot at first. This place is highly recommended!!! I ventured off into a coffee adventure with my friend today and she recommended The Coffee Grinder. I was in the mood for a hot latte when the Kona Mocha blended beverage was recommended to me. I had to look twice! $3.75 for this grande sized drink? With espresso?! Sure! My jaw dropped at how good this drink was! I will say the recommendation was spot on. This was incredible. The smooth, rich mocha flavor with espresso hit the spot. I'm intrigued because they also have beer and food! Not to mention they don't close till midnight. I have late night coffee cravings on weekends and this place is definitely going on my list of places to visit from now on. The interior design is a bit outdated but it is very warm and inviting! It also looks like they have regulars here. It's definitely work-friendly, I can bring my laptop and be productive here. They have plenty of room with comfy couches and small tables. I'm so happy with such a great find!

I liked it! It was really good and full of flavor. Definitely recommend this if you are undecided on what to order! I also ordered a side order of the Smash Browns. They were good was well. Everything was nice and clean! The only negative thing I have to say; the restaurant music and the cooks music was not the same. Their music was very loud and it was the "screaming heavy metal" type. It was over powering the music that was playing directly above us. Don't get me wrong; it's not about the type of music playing but the volume of it vs what was in the sit down area. I really think the workers knew about because they were out there wiping tables and cleaning so they must've had to hear it. Other than that food was great.

We shared a plate of the bacon tacos because we wanted a snack, not a meal. Carl says his coffee is bitter. I made his cup 3/4 bold 1/4 light. He added a lot of sugar. I felt the tacos were ok. Nothing special. The salsa seemed flavorless. I mixed it with sour cream and Tabasco sriracha and that was a tasty mix. Tortillas were soft - just right to keep all the contents inside. I'd put a little crisp on the tortilla and melt the cheese to it to elevate these to something worth having on the menu. Bathroom was well stocked and acceptably clean. I wish businesses would pay more attention to wiping down soap dispensers and door. Service was fast and friendly. Business was clean and quiet. Music was low enough to hear but still talk in a normal voice.
