First visit was a great impression! I love the location and set up of this place. The patio is spacious and shaded with lots of greenery. The cashier was so friendly - I expressed it was my first time visiting and he immediately started giving me recommendations of his favs verses fan favs. He had a lot of knowledge of the menu. I landed on his recommendation of the Baby Got Jack - it was amazing! I believe it was THE BEST panini I've ever had. The bread had a sweet honey taste that was a perfect match with the savory bacon. I enjoyed having this coffee shop near us when I used to live in the neighborhood. This place looked a bit like a European cafe from the outside in the front and the patio area at the back. I liked that they not only had a lot of options for coffee, tea, and juices, but they also had options for bakeries, breakfast, and brunch food. I liked ordering their iced Americano, especially paired with their baked desserts. Their food was good, but it could be a little bit pricey if you come here on a daily basis. The only complaint that I had was the ordering system could be a bit tricky. I experienced multiple times losing my coffee orders and I had to ask the barista to double check. I under this place was trying to make the ordering experience more friendly and at-home so the server would ask for your name and call your name once the drinks were ready. However, perhaps having a digital screen or some sort that streamlines the process could put everyone on the same page. However, I do recognize that being the only coffee shop nearby was part of the reason why this place was always crowded and under-delivered. The Coffee Shop in Gilbert was a cute little cafe located in the suburban farm setting in the Agritopia neighborhood. They had been featured on the Food Network TV show Cupcake Wars. As I walked through the door, I was greeted by a lively atmosphere and the sight of food and coffee. However, none of their home-run creations, such as the Boston Cream and Chocolate Marshmallow cupcakes, were available at the time of my visit. Plus the employee didn't even know that the owners won the competition! C'mon get it together! The employee didn't have an alternative cupcake suggestion nor had any idea of when they would be available. Maybe management needs to brief them before opening first thing in the morning. They should really be advertising those cupcakes because I sure would love to try them. I wish I could give them 5 stars. The only reason why I have to knock down 1 star is that none of the cupcakes were available. I drove all the way here in search of their winning creations, and I was a little dismayed when I arrived here with no answer. Would I return? Maybe or maybe not. It depends if they make them available. I'd probably call first to see before driving all the way over here. The coffee was okay though! Strong enough to curl your hair. read more

A Coffee Shop Without Coffee I have given this place two tries, and both times left underwhelmed. The first was on a Sunday during brunch. Understandably busy, but the space was chaotic, disorganized, and had terrible flow. The service matched that description too. After navigating through the crowd and finally getting my food, it turned out to be bland and underwhelming for the price point . I left disappointed and sat in the Agritopia garden across the street instead. I decided to give it another shot one evening, book in hand, drawn by the cozy back room. I ordered coffee and was told it would be placed on the counter. i asked about the refill policy and was told. I settled in and waited but was never alerted or called. Eventually, I went to check, only to find it sitting cold on the counter. No apology, just a dismissive "it's over there." The atmosphere did not help. The music was thumping loud, genre completely out of place for a coffee shop in the evening with only a handful of customers. As a former nightclub owner, I understand volume and ambience. This was simply poor call. Finally, 45 minutes before closing, I went for a refill only to be told they don't have any more coffee. A coffee shop without coffee. After two strikes, I cannot justify a third. With so many options in Gilbert, ill just go elsewhere. read more

It probably can seat 80 to 100 people and they're always align of 10 to 25 people at the counter waiting to place their order. We love the waffles. We love the American breakfast. I'm sorry to be a hater but the decor in the room in the back looks so stupid. The plaid shower curtain and the horse ass on the wall? I came while pregnant and got instant nausea when my scramble started tasting like the horse tail and threw the whole thing away. I don't understand who in their right mind thought any of that was going to look good. Then outside they have an insane fly problem, it felt like eating in a barn. They were relentless and it's crazy that this place is satisfied doing nothing about it. I saw little trays of liquid for them and they're not doing anything and are also way too close to the tables. It's just genuinely gross to eat here unless you get a table inside and then you're dealing with too many people. The star is for the food. Located in Agritopia, there's plenty of outdoor garden seating as well as indoor seating. The space is cool and inviting. Parking is easy. My go-to order is a honey cinnamon oat milk latte. I like my latte to taste like there's honey, but not be overly sweet and theirs is perfectly balanced. I've ordered it a few times and they get it right each time. Love a place that's consistent! Their pastries are so tempting! It takes everything in me not to order a cupcake or whoopie pie everytime I come in. I've tried one of the donuts and it was very satisfying. I will have to try a cupcake soon. Afterall, the owner is a Food Network Cupcake Wars winner. Yuck... for a place that generates so much revenue, they should consider a few upgrades to stop the flies. There were flies EVERYWHERE inside. Inside the pastry case crawling all over the pastries. Next to all the windows and subsequently next to the tables for seating. And flying around and landing on everyone's food. We stayed long enough to get our coffee and BOUNCED! Air curtains are cheap and would make this place a much more desirable (and clean) place to eat. And perhaps adding some misters outside would also help with the pests and add some cooling effect to the outdoor seating, since indoor seating is limited. All the above being said, coffee tastes great. It's constantly crowded here, so use the mobile app the order ahead. Or consider walking down to Garage East who has misters and nice outdoor seating and great coffee as well and much quieter. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm here up to 4 times a week. The ambiance is perfect. Both indoor and outdoor options. I like to remotely work here & their food and pastries are yummy! The only downside is (and I haven't found the guts to just tell them in person) that they have TONS of flies everywhere. I'm not even exaggerating... there are so many flies inside and out. There hasn't been one time that I attend that flies are constantly bothering. I wish they had more fly traps or something to help control this at least indoors. They even had small flies inside their water container, that was the only time I approached them and asked if they could change the water. Other than that I do truly love this place. I ordered a coconut latte with oat milk and a gf scone. Before ordering, I waited in line for about 10 minutes and the place was popping at 2pm on a Saturday. The coffee came out rather quick for how busy it was. It was great coffee, really enjoyed it. The gf scone (berry?) was good... it wasn't the best I've ever had but then again I used to live in Ireland so maybe I shouldn't be comparing (i was spoiled there). It was likely the gf element that made it a little too salty/sour for my taste but I still ate the whole thing. My only suggestion to the shop is to find a more efficient way to take orders when busy. It was difficult to form a line because of the table placements as there was one close to the register, making it so a few people could cut in line from certain angles. I know this is space issue and not their fault but to fix they could maybe implement taking numbers? This would make it so not everyone is jammed in a weird space. After running the Lost Dutchmen race I wanted to try a new place in Gilbert. I have been to some of the other restaurants in this compound. It's such a cute and fun area! Most of the restaurants were packed with long lines so we opted for this coffee breakfast shop. We did have to wait about 10 minutes in line but that was manageable. I was bummed they didn't have any gluten friendly options posted on their menu. The young lady was quick to offer up checking with the chef. I got one of the chicken, quinoa and kale breakfast bowls without the bread. Cost was $12.50. It did take a long time for us to get our food. Like 15-20 minutes but we were totally enjoying the beautiful weather. We sat outside. My bowl was average. The chicken was a little over cooked and it tasted dry. I'm giving it a four stars because they did help me with my gluten restrictions and they are totally packed. Also the locations was cute and the servers were friendly.
