I have been to Sidewinder Subs many times, and it is among my favorite places for sandwiches. My family and I come here often whenever we are craving a delicious sub sandwich in our area. It also helps that we live less than ten minutes away. Their sandwiches are some of the best sandwiches I have had. Not only do they taste good, but their ingredients are fresh. I also like how fresh the bread tastes. While I do not remember if I have ever had any of their side dishes, I will have to try them next time I visit. I also like that the menu has a vast variety of sandwiches, sides, and other things, such as cookies and drinks. I appreciate how friendly and patient the service is. They are willing to offer suggestions and are patient whenever you need time to decide what to order. The atmosphere is pleasant and low-key, with plenty of televisions to watch sports. They also have an arcade game system in one corner near the entrance. Another thing I like is their reasonable prices for their high-quality food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent place for sub sandwiches in the Phoenix area.

Craving for a sub? Look no further! Sidewinders has the best subs in the east valley hands down. Don't be surprised if you see a line when you walk in- especially at lunch time. Upon entry, you'll see a chalkboard menu with everything they have to offer. Even beer on tap! Service is always amazing, quick & friendly. The menu has a huge array of subs, some salads, wraps & and few fried up favorites such as fries & cheese sticks. My go to is always the toasted turkey & cheese. A simple classic, yet packed & loaded with meat and flavor. Sidewinders is always great at packing up a full sandwich. They don't skimp out on anything! They also offer a diamondback sub meal which is somewhere in the neighborhood of about $6! You can't find that anywhere nowadays. A local neighborhood favorite that will have you coming back for more. Be sure to check their hours and note they are closed on Sundays!

I have had unfavorable service by the short rude guy behind the counter on more than one occasion, but this time I'm taking the time to post and most likely won't go back after several years. We ordered subs to go using the online app today/ not cheap $12.99 per sub but at least they included chips it stated. When I got there and went to get them the rude guy was very happy to announce and embarrass the heck out of me in front of everyone in the store that chips WERE NOT included... I wanted to crawl under the table! I thought the cops were gonna pull up ! Honestly I was not going to steal 2 bags of chips! Check for yourselves- are you reading what I'm reading .. "And chips" !!! Goodness - customer service really is a thing my guy!!

GUYS don't sleep on this sandwich spot!!!! Everything is SO FRESH! Crisp bacon, ice cold deli toppings--you can taste the difference! My hubby & I split the 17" club, no tom, add banana pep and it's just SO YUM. Don't forget the chocolate chip cookie! They're soft and delicious. You won't be disappointed.

Really good subs. The only complaint is that the bun could easily hold 5 meatballs, but they only give you four. So you have bites that are bread-only. But the flavors are good, and they offer fries (not just chips). Their fries are nothing fancy, but they are fresh and good. I like this place. I just wish they would give you that 5th meatball so you don't end up with two bites on either end that are only bread and sauce.

I absolutely dig this place. The sandwiches are fantastic and so is the friendly service. The sandwiches are always packed with meat and fixins. Great quality ingredients as well which sometimes you dont see in sandwich shops. This is a gem and its locally owned . 10/10

I really wish it were easier to find breakfast joints with organic coffee but it can be a bit difficult to find in certain areas, such as the east valley area. This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. This is the first place I've been in a long time that gives my eggs a run for their money.

NOT WHAT YOU THINK…read more The Spitz moniker is derived from the rotating BBQ spit, middle-eastern style rotisserie used to slow cook their meats. The name of this restaurant isn't very becoming. But you will be coming regularly once you try this place. Mediterranean food has worked it's way as a staple across the country because of the use of numerous spices, it has an undeniable bold flavor that has become a favorite of the American diet. Here is no exception and lives up to the Mediterranean flavor profile expectations with an Americanized twist on the ingredients. I ordered on the app and found it quite user friendly, which encourages me to get food here more often with the ease of use and simple interface. You have to ability to add or omit ingredients from the menu items which makes for a very satisfying customized meal (and only have yourself to blame if it is a displeasing combination) BERLINER WRAP- meat and veg all in a flatbread wrap. There's a lot of ingredients packed in this thang, so for me, I had to use extra sauce to dip and coat it all in flavor. The problem with these wraps though, is that the paper it wrapped in was getting stuck to the bread and would have to constantly peel it off that thang and it was a mess, unless you just don't mind eating the paper for some extra fiber. MEDI BOWL- The bowl was felt healthy and hearty; an all-around good dish. The crunchy garbanzo beans were a nice element to contrast against the other textures in the bowl. Again, i liked it with more sauce, but that's just me. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and I want to try the other menu items in the future.

There was only one other couple in the restaurant . I noticed to go orders and DoorDash orders were being picked up while we were waiting for our orders. By the time we left, there was a line. It didn't take very long for our orders to be prepared. It was promptly delivered to our table. The first thing I noticed was the lack of meat in my Berliner. It didn't come close to the amount of meat I saw in several photos on Yelp. After I bit into my wrap, all I could taste were the vegetables. It took a few bites before I tasted just a hint of meat. This was very disappointing. I was meat hungry and I wanted something healthy with a good portion of meat. I wasn't getting it here. A total letdown! The first thing my wife commented on her Street Car donor was how dry it was. Where was the sauce? She had to ask for tzatziki sauce. I took a bite of hers and at least she had more meat than I had. She told me I could have her other half. She was impressed to say the least! Did we come on an off day? Was there someone new in the back? I suggest they weigh out the meat each and every time to keep it consistent. It was not the experience we were expecting! Did anyone experience something similar?

It was a ton of food (more than enough for two adults and two kids)--veggies, salami, bread, grapes, strawberries, and french fries. It was all great, but the French fries were my favorite. My kids were very into the grapes. Then our server steered us to the small chocolate fondue ($12). Also a ton of food. The rice crispy treats and strawberries were my favorite though the chocolate cake was also delicious. I didn't love the sandwich cookies but they were my kids' favorite, so to each their own. There's a decent drink menu. My husband got draft beer for $5.50. Dinner for 4 ended up being around $60. Bonnie's seemed like an incredible value for the amount of food we got and it was every bit as good as that other fondue restaurant. Also, fondue is like built in entertainment for kids--no one asked to look at a phone for the entire meal. Shout out to our server. David was great on checking allergy info and was very attentive. My uncle got kielbasa, brisket and pastrami. Our guess is that the food is brought in sealed and they microwave or use some similar reheat method and do no "cooking" there. All of my meats were beyond dry. It's really hard to convey how dry. The ribs were the biggest terror point since not only was it as tough as leather but it tasted like it was doused in iodized salt. My uncle's plate was not any better. The kielbasa was sliced and overcooked so badly that the sliced edges were burnt and frayed - you've got to really try hard to screw up preserved sausage. I could only do a few bites and threw it all in the trash. They were getting busy and I was not going to stand back in line with trays of food to broach the problems. They make sure to ask for a tip at time of order but there's no service for quality control. My uncle texted me later in the day: "Today's restaurant was such an awful choice for BarBQ. I can't remember when I had worse. We have to go to a real good one next time." It is crazy how bad this lunch experience was and a rarity that Yelps score misses the mark so badly.

Actually that's a great profile picture so just look at that and you'll see the gyro plate. Anyway, to the point. This is one of the best Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I've eaten at. I'm not a Greek food aficionado but at least for the standard Greek restaurant fair to find an American Greek restaurant - delicious! Both times, unfortunately I couldn't order the kebabs because I didn't have time. They actually prepare them fresh and it takes about 25 minutes. I wanna come back and have those. Today, I had the gyro plate. Plenty of meat, delicious soft, fresh pita bread. Excellent hummus with a little olive oil in a pool in the center of it. The hummus is spread out in a , leaf or flour and there's plenty of it. Plenty of rice. And a delicious salad. They're dressing is so good. Not super sour/tangy. Great presentation too. The portions are more than enough. Really, two people could've eaten at my plate. The baklava is excellent. Service is good. Nice atmosphere. I love this place.
