Almost 9 years ago I searched on Instagram for a new hair stylist that did balayage. At the time not everyone was trained in that. Que Jacqueline. Kind, radiant, so funny and most of all a pro at keeping my hair healthy and giving into the 100 different things I wanted to do throughout the years. We have played with color, length and styles all while having the most fun whenever I'm in her chair. The booking process is always a breeze with vagaro and I have been using it for that entire time with no issue. Added bonus of coming to the salon is Sara. Booked an appointment online 8 days ago with Sara since my normal girl is out of town, and my appointment still has not been accepted. I need a touchup for my vacation before the 4th (which tends to book up). I've tried to contact them about acceptance via email and phone with no reply, so I decided I just need to cancel and find a new place. Note: They will charge you for 50% of the service when you book. Their policy states it will be refunded if cancelled more than 24 hrs ahead of appointment, HOWEVER, when you try to cancel it will make you acknowledge that you will not be refunded even though it's more than enough notice. After discussing it with my cc company, they said to cancel and if they do not refund w/in 7 days, to call back to dispute the charge since their policy is clearly stated on their site. I get that this girl is probably trying to wait to see if she gets a bigger "job" that day/time and doesn't want to accept until last minute, but it's really shi**y customer service to leave a customer hanging like that, especially right before a big holiday. Now I'm stuck trying to find another appt. Response to owner- In the last few days, I emailed, left a v/m, and messaged y'all on IG. Were all of those faulty as well? Finding a good hair stylist is like finding a good mechanic. Finding someone that's going to give you quality work and not take advantage of you by selling you something you don't need. I've had stylists in past over process my hair to market themselves on social media. I love that the girls at The Collective won't let me compromise my hair health for the sake of making an extra buck. Their pricing for everything is already phenomenal so I don't even mind making multiple appointments to keep my hair healthy and properly maintained. My schedule is all over the place so it's awesome they work with my schedule and fit me in on short notice, but it also never takes long at all to get in and out with exactly the look I was hoping for. My 16yo daughter went to Sara Lehner for a full head of highlights that I paid for. My daughter showed her pics of how she wanted her highlights done. Sara agreed that she was able to provide the service that my daughter was asking for I wish I could post pics of that on here to show how it turned out. Minimal highlights,little to no difference.. ive been trying to reach out to Sara this past week phone calls and text messages to see how we can get this fixed. No response, no replies. Ghosting. When she finished the service. My daughter and her mother then heard her complaining to the other hairdresser about being stiffed with a $150 tip, Sara was also being rude and pushy about them leaving. SO, so glad that I decided to trust yelp AND the reviews were real! I'd been wanting to go back to my natural hair color + get a hair cut after my pandemic hair (blonde, pink, ice, hair cut with clippers) but was too afraid to commit. But I keep returning because of her consultative style and continuous development of her craft. I know whatever style I'm feeling -- bleach/tone, bob, brunette, redhead -- Jackie's on board and can recommend how it can work for me. Sara's usually there, too, so I've watched over a dozen satisfied customers dance out of there with up-dos or complicated dye jobs. Cannot recommend this salon or the stylists enough! The salon radiates such good vibes and Sara and Jackie are such a great team. So I barely get my hair done, and I knew I was over due. It was also my birthday and I wanted to feel better about my situation going on on my head. I took a chance on a new salon, which can be scary ... but from the reviews and pictures I was more excited than anything! I went in on my birthday and was immediately greeted by Jacqueline, and seated in the chair within 5/10 minutes! (I can't stand when I go to a salon and have to wait 20+ minutes to get started) I asked for my hair to be toned and for the yellow tones to be taken out, also for a natural blended in/feathered in root. She did exactly that and also did a conditioning treatment so my hair can maintain its integrity. I love the tone of my hair and seriously wish I would have done this a loooong time ago, now that I look at my old pictures I can't believe how gross it looked all yellowy. The stylists are always really welcoming and you can tell they're passionate about what they do. Jaqueline has been doing my hair for the past six months or so. Before going to Jackie, I had a bad experience with my bangs getting cut way shorter than I asked for and was legitimately worried about making an appointment somewhere new.
