Lance is personable and honest! Thought a slow collision at a stop light had cracked my rear bumper. Called just before close asking to set up an appointment, he told me I could just come in the morning no appointment needed. When I showed up first thing, he looked at the bumper and could tell immediately it was just an access panel came loose. I had hope for this place based on the reviews. I sent them an email and they called to make an appointment within 30 to 40 minutes of me sending it which was very impressive. However, I got there and not only did no one even address that I was waiting, the guy who was supposed to assess the cost wasn't there. Uh okay? Why did I come in? Addendum: While I appreciate that the business owner tries to reach out to people, I kind of didn't appreciate the callousness of the staff and it just really unprofessional. They also called me twice in 15 minutes while I was doing something else, and that was a little odd. read more

Was quoted a price I couldn't afford and I let Lance know that I would have to try another establishment. Instead of sending me somewhere else he made some calls to try and purchase used or cheaper parts. Finally we came to a compromise in prices and I paid most of it then and the rest of the balance when I picked up my car. Car came back in the time quoted. Quality looks great and I'm pretty sure they Vacuumed, cleaned up my fast food wrappers and washed my car so that was a bonus. My changed looked picked up, vacuumed around and placed back in the same spots. Made me laugh. read more

WOW!! Yes, it's still possible to get outstanding service out there!! I took my Mustang to the guys at The Collision Repair Shop in Ferndale to take some rust off my hood and paint it. I had read their stellar reviews online, so I figured I'd give them a chance. All I can say is that not only was it ready when promised, but the paint job looked AMAZING, and made my car look like it did when I bought it 5 years ago! Naturally I expected to find dust and probably overspray all over my car after the job was done, but was pleasantly surprised to find the car absolutely spotless! I just can't say enough about these guys. They will most definitely be my 'go to' for all my body work needs in the future. I had a minor front end collision, which smashed my bumper (it was plastic.) and crumpled my hood, and cracked a rim. I chose this shop because they advertise that they pay your deductible and because they were close to my home. After I brought my car to the shop, it took a day for the insurance estimator to come out, and the next day, I called the shop, to verify how long the repairs would take. I was told a week and a half. Two weeks later, I called them back, and I was told in two minute phone call that my car was in paint and would be done tomorrow. I said "Great! I'll be there tomorrow" At which point he quickly back tracked, and told me that they were still waiting on my hood that they ordered from China. After three weeks, during which they never called to update me, I was finally called and told that my car was ready. When I arrived at the shop to get my car, I was told that there was a problem with my airbag. (Which did not deploy during the accident.) On top of that the rim, which I pointed out when I dropped off my car, was not replaced. Now five and a half weeks after dropping off my car, I finally picked it up, and was charged a bill far higher than I expected to pay!! When I pointed that out, he said nothing, just that this is the price and that he would not budge on it. I had to ask him repeatedly to give me the itemized list of repairs. Finally after much griping about how good he had been to me, he made a copy for me. On top of that as I drove away, my check engine light was on. (And it was not on, when I dropped it off.) Fortunately when I turned around and came back to the shop, the mechanic who came out to look at it was far better with customer service. The care looks good...time will tell if the repairs are worth the hassle. But the customer service was just the pits!! The shop is TERRIBLE at communication, they blatantly lied about the progress on my car, and were completely unapologetic about the whole situation. I will NEVER return. read more

I used them for my Grundy collector car insurance policy to fix my 1990 Nissan Silvia that had been ran into by a careless driver who didn't look as he changed lanes. They were nice enough to repair and repaint the spoiler and right-side side rear view mirror for free as well while they were repairing the other issues with the car that the insurance company was covering. Lance is a really nice guy who is easy to talk to and really aims to please his customers. The quality of the work was good and they buffed the entire car before I took delivery of it. Another employee even gave me a ride to a bank so that I could withdraw money for payment when my debit card would not scan in their machine! read more

Friendly, honest, hardworking, and experts in there field! If The collision repair shop was a doctors office I would be a much healthier human being. I have taken both my 2010 Chevy Malibu and my buddies 2013 Cadillac there. On both occasions my expectations have been greatly exceeded. My buddy tried a few places first for his Cadillac. However, none were able to explain in detail what actually needed to be fixed. The collision repair shop WAS! They explained the issues that needed to be fixed right away and what matters could be addressed later. The collision repair shop fixed his car in a timely matter and much cheaper than the competitors previously quoted him. As for my fender bender on my Malibu. Lance was not only courteous but followed through with his estimate and promised completion time (very fast)! Lance and his staff go above and beyond expectations. This Collision Shop is awesome! The location is easy to find and They're professional & timely. I was quoted approximately 14 days for my repair and they delivered! They kept me informed and up to date on the progress of my car which I've never experienced before, other collision shops just let you wait until they're ready so to speak. I called two days ahead before coming in, they quoted me a price for windshield and said they could do it if i brought car in early, when i arrived they looked over my car and tried to point out a million things wrong with the body, quoted me an overblown ridiculous price, including $200 because my door was slightly pushed in at the very bottom, then i leave telling them i'll be back in an hour to get just the windshield replaced with them and not the body work, when i came back they told me, they did not have the windshield and it is out of stock possibly forever... Wasted half my day, was misled, and highly overcharged on a quote. I would skip this place. read more

I took my Buick Regal to a few shops including my dealership for estimates on scrapes to my bumper and I felt like their rates were inflated. Everyone gave me a ton of reasons why their estimates were so high even though I was sure this couldn't be right for the small amount of damage to the bumper. I tried this shop because I live in the area and pass them everyday. They were extremely helpful and gave me an estimate that was half of the ones I got from the other shops. They told me the work could take up to 2 days. I got a call the very next day informing me that my car was done and ready for pickup. My car looked brand new!!! They did great work. Not to mention they washed the outside and totally cleaned the inside. They were by far the nicest people I've encountered in my quest for a reputable and reasonable repair shop. My car, a 2017 Chevrolet Volt, was involved in a fender-bender and needed some extensive front end repair. Tony looked it over and gave me what I felt to be a fair estimate for the repairs. The job involved about a week for ordering parts and about 4 days for the repair itself. The crew did a fantastic job on the restoration which included some skillful repair and painting work on the aluminum hood! The car looks brand new again! They also detailed the car and repainted the mirror (which had been damaged earlier) at no extra charge. Additionally, the repair was finished earlier than was originally estimated. I went to visit a friend in the hospital and came out to find someone had dented in my passenger side rear door, right down the middle. I was annoyed more than anything because hey, whoever they are, they're gone now. So I stopped at a couple of shops that day. The first two said I needed a whole new door and the cost: $800!!!! One gentleman said I could find a door at a junk yard that was already black and it would shave $200 off the price. So I jumped back on Yelp! and found a place that had a 5 star rating. I drove over to Ferndale. When I explained that I wasn't looking for a brand new door, I just wanted he sent gone, the young man brought out a little handheld sucker device and popped it right out! That was it, dent gone, 5 seconds flat!!!! How much did that cost me? $0!!!!! I absolutely love this guy. The first two said that my door was useless at this point because it was shattered on the inside. What?!?!? They saw a WOMAN, thought I would have no idea what they were talking about, and took advantage. The young man at The Collision Repair Shop in Ferndale did not. He treated me as though I were a PERSON with a damaged car. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone. read more

Dear Crazy people at the collision shop please quit stalking me an my reviews. Suburban Collision shop has the best business mentality an professionalism hands down. I didn't press charges because my husband said y'all not worth the time but please leave me alone. Focus on your back taxes and non existing customers. Like I have stated before on the previous statement. Go somewhere else, they posted to my comment so many unnecessary lies. Instead I went to Suburban collision. Don't Do Business with them period. Previous statement which was 100% true: This place is a bunch of CROOKS. They damaged my car more than what was actually damaged to get more money from the insurance company claim. Took my brand new tire an ripped off additional parts. They stated they would cover the deductible, then lied about it. Then received the full amount for the repairs and never did the work had to file a police report with Ferndale police about harassment after the worker kept calling me during business hours from his personal cell phone threatening me. Filing a civil suit against them, very unprofessional, rude and con artists. Take your business elsewhere or regret it. BEWARE!!!! read more

Lance, thank you for getting me in despite how busy you were. I appreciate that you eased my concern, your promptness, your professionalism and for making it convenient for me. My car was acting funny and the "check engine" light turned on. After further diagnosis they learned that it could possibly be the ignition coil. After further investigation, the mechanic found nothing wrong and simply switched the plugs on my ignition coil so that we could easily detect the problem next time. Whatever he did, worked so far and my car seems to be fine! They did not charge me because there was nothing wrong to their finding and I sincerely appreciate there honesty.
