Update. The salon owner is blaming me for having black box dye to begin with. Well then your hairstylist should have told me that it WASN'T possible. I would have been fine with that. But she told me it was possible just not as light and the picture I showed her. And she assured me multiple times that she could do it. As far as the damage goes- I'm sorry but there's NO reason why bleach should be left on someone's hair for 3 hours. There's literally no excuse for this other than an incompetent hairstylist who doesn't know what the heck they are doing. I want a refund. I don't want to go back into your salon and have you mess with my hair more. I just want a refund. I am extremely unhappy with the service. I didn't get the color I wanted and my hair was damaged. I am not happy with this at all. I don't want your little toner or your deep conditioning treatment. I don't trust anyone at your salon now. Especially since you have been blaming me. What kind of customer service is that? Attacking the customer. Wow. The only way to make this right is to refund the $430 I spent on these services that I wasn't happy with. It's unfortunate that the owner still doesn't want to own up to the fact that her hairstylist messed up. And instead continues to blame me the customer for the black box dye. Last time I checked, you are the professionals, and should be able to work with black box dye without completely destroying someone's hair. I have a difficult time going to the salon. So much so, that when the pandemic hit, I neglected my hair and didn't cut it, but sure did color it myself. 2.5 years later my hair was dry, frizzy, and damaged. I called for an appointment at The Color Bar Salon and they assigned me to Patty. Patty was so patient with my situation. I think she sensed I was a bit nervous and obviously could tell my hair needed a lot of help. She gathered a lot of information, listened to what I was hoping to accomplish, let me know what could and couldn't be done, offered options, tested my hair, and we made decisions together. She shared some of her experience and I can tell she is someone who has seen it all and has evolved with the times. The process was long because there was much to do. However, her conversation and demeanor put me at ease and I did not feel stressed at all (unlike every experience I've had at any salon). I will say, it was expensive, but I got what I paid for. This hair was transformed from virgin back hair to beautiful blonde. Vina was very attentive and really took her time. Parking is easy to find. She wasn't overally chatty and focused on taking care of your hair. Only minor note is that asked for a balayage but it turned out to be a bit more like highlights throughout. Still gorgeous work. I came in for a haircut and let my hairdresser know that my hair gets really dry so it would be best to condition it with a leave in or something. She decided to use a heat protectant spray... During the blowout I could feel my hair breaking and getting stretched out because it had no elasticity due to the lack of moisture. The cut seemed okay, but I won't know how it truly looks until my hair goes back to it's natural state. I wish they provided me a quote before starting because $95 was not worth the the poor quality of service I received. If I could give this salon zero stars I would my hair was done my summer Rose and it was suppose to be a partial highlight but she ended up messing it up I've gone to salons before for this type of work n they are suppose to make your hair look nice but to my luck I got stuck with not a good one the only damage I had was the ends but the damage was done on the top I would not recommend it at all the service is horrible when you are reaching out if you had a problem. I went in thinking ok they might know what they are doing but unfortunately that was not the case for me when I was done with my hair I said ok I like it it doesn't look bad but ones I washed it I realized that was not the case I was left with botched highlights my hair had different colors I had parts of the front that were missing highlights I waited to hear back from them but all I was told that they would have her reach out but she didn't once I found her on Instagram and reached out and said there was nothing she can do because she was informed the salon had reached out but I never got back to them and now a month had passed when I had reached out the next day if I would have known I would have gone somewhere else luckily I went to a different salon where they confirmed I was left with different colors on my hair and botched highlights and they fixed it. While the haircut she gave me wasn't a bad haircut, it did not resemble the photo at all. The back of my hair looks pretty good but the front is not at all what I was wanting. Again, it doesn't look bad, it's just not what I asked for. Maybe it wasn't possible to do with my type of hair or something like that, but that wasn't communicated to me if that was the case. But, I really liked that about her, she was professional and kind. she never made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable of the fact, my hair was a mess and it had been a very long time since I had my hair done professionally. I was so disappointed with my visit to the color bar. I came in wanting to lighten my hair color. a lighter color with highlights. They talked me into just a root cover up. but I explained several time that I wanted it lighter in color. They colored my hair so dark it look maroon in color. it was a horrible job and looked worse then a home job. I had a party to go to and I was extremely embarrassed. I called them back to see if they would fix it. not only did they blame the horrible color on me, but wanted to change me twice as much to fix it.
