I've been here a handful of times I always get Cold brew because that's just what I drink. Their food portions are small and are expensive. They charge $7 for a cold brew and only fill it up 3/4 of the way, every time. Their cold brew is average, nothing special, but they are the only specialty coffee shop in the Rancho area. I've tried to give this place multiple chances, unfortunately I won't be coming back. The food is better than the coffee, I will say that. But, again over priced and small portions. read more

Came here when another brunch spot had a ridiculous wait. I got Mushroom Toast and that sauce is to die for. My friend got the Big Ass Bae and she liked it but it was quite small. We also shared the Angel City French Toast but it was so dry. It did come with a side of syrup but it really didn't hold it's own and had essentially no flavor. I got a honey lavender latte which was really good, not too sweet. My friend got a sweet latte and vanilla latte and really like the sweet one. It was sweet without feeling like straight sugar, highly recommend sweet and honey lavender! Seating is pretty small but they do have outdoor tables. It seemed like a study spot cafe though so there might be people there who plan to stay for a while. There's also 2 counters which is a good addition. And it's in a big plaza so there's plenty of parking. Out of my area so I wouldn't specifically come back, but not a bad option if you're nearby! read more

My friend took me for brunch here when I came to visit her and had a great experience! We both ordered banh mis with an iced honey lavender latte. The latte was one of the best I've ever had and was the perfect balance of sweet and floral flavors. I still think about how amazing that drink was so if you are indecisive about which coffee to go for, definitely try out the iced honey lavender latte. I really enjoyed the banh mi as well and the potatoes it comes with are crispy and delicious! The portions are pretty big and I only ended up getting through one banh mi and took home the other half for a snack later in the day. After ordering, you walk through the side to go to the back for seating, which was super limited. There were only a few tables available and mostly taken. We were only able to sit down because a family was leaving and kindly gave their table to us. There were tables outdoors in their side yard, but we were in the mood for indoor seating that day. Anyways, onto the food. That's the thing! You'd expect the food to be somewhat satisfying coming out of a place named The Combine Kitchen. We were left wanting more. Nothing to write home about really. They were out of breakfast burritos so I ordered the breakfast quesadilla. Man it was nothing like any quesadilla I've ever had! It was literally piles of tortilla with eggs somewhere in there and doused in this red sauce. Definitely not my cup of tea! My husband knew immediately and kindly switched his entree with me, which was a standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Like I said it was nothing special, but I devoured everything because I was starving. My boys had the french toast with eggs and bacon. They seemed to like that. Oh and I had the lavender latte, which was alright. I've decided that lavender latte's just not my thing. Can't fault them for that. Don't make the same mistake as me!!! AVOID IF YOU ARE BRINGING friends/family!!! This went from my favorite place to one of my most disliked establishments. I brought my friends to combine kitchen on my birthday as I naively thought this was a solid, straightforward hassle-free self-service place. The curly haired male cashier with the white cap could not explain the "fees and charges" to our order despite us ordering separately. When I inquired, he shrugged it off with a nasty irritated tone saying "fee and charges idk what you want me to say". There is a California law specifically to prevent hidden charges. The least you can do is explain nicely what the customer is paying for. The fee turned out to be a 20% mandatory tip for a party of six that he couldn't bother to explain to each person ordering (he only slyly asked the first person in line if we were together and added a charge to us), but there is no service when you order standing up, do self-seating, and you have to pick up your own drinks from the counter. AND YOU ARE PAYING TIP PRIOR TO RECEIVING ANY SERVICE since you pay when you order. There is no difference in being a big party or coming individually but just a desperate cash-grab. Not only did I end up with super disappointed that I even recommended this place to my friends, but it ruined my appetite which is the worst thing a food establishment can do imo. I've never had a bad time at combine before today and WAS excited to come here on my birthday. imagine the disappointment. I regret coming here and cancelled my item because I could not stomach the treatment I just received. Five people eating still ended up paying the 20% gratuity of a party of 6. So sad this cashier has ruined my experience at combine for no reason. Why is asking for simple transparency so offensive? Combine Kitchen is a great location for breakfast or brunch! Parking is abundant and they offer many tables located both inside and outside. Each employee inside wore masks and kept all food areas clean. They offer free waters (you serve yourself) next to the door for easy access. Their coconut latte is a special drink currently being offered. I ordered mine iced with oat milk and LOVED IT. It was not heavy and pleasantly sweet. I also ordered an açaí bowl which contains fresh strawberries, blueberries, oats, coconut flakes, and honey drizzled on top. The size was more than adequate as I had leftovers. Service here is fast with breakfast being delivered within minutes of ordering. Lastly, although not pictured here, I would strongly recommend trying their Spanish Latte! I ordered the yolk and shrooms toast- honestly I think it has some potential the overall taste was decent a little underwhelming however it was soaked in so much of this mushroom creamy sauce that the entire thing was so hard to eat it is a big large portion so it's best to share this with somebody but if I were to come back and order this again I would definitely need to split it. I thought I was just trippin' until I read other recent reviews. This place used to be my go to spot for brunch. The coffee and food was always spot on until something shifted in the last year I would say. Service and food is VERY hit or miss here now. After several inconsistent visits I've stopped visiting this spot all together. There's a woman that works here who absolutely hates her job and openly complains about having to help customers while at the register to fellow coworker, not pleasant to talk to. I see her here frequently, and everytime she is in a bad mood. Like girl, if you hate it so much, LEAVE! We all deserve a work place we at least somewhat enjoy, included you. Now about the food. One time I came here with a friend and she had ordered chia porridge, it was the perfect consistency, beautiful presentation, and tasted great, so next time I visited I ordered the same thing, but this time is was served in a smaller dish, it was hard, and old tasting, and the toppings were not as good and less of them. Same thing happened with French toast, ordered it once and it was amazing, ordered it again later and was not made the same way. When you frequent a restaurant you generally expect the food to be consistent, and while mistakes may happen on occasion, it shouldn't be like a box of chocolates where you never know what you're gonna get. They do not know how to cook an over medium egg for the life of them, it always comes out basically raw with the whites of the egg completely underdone. Customer service in general usually isn't great here, there are some workers that put in the effort and are happy to do so, but others here not so much as mentioned earlier. There have been THREE separate occasions where I've been here with different people and one of our drinks never gets made until we go to the counter and ask about it. One of the times they shrugged said someone must have taken it (they didn't even acknowledge that they intended on making a new drink or apologize for the lost drink) kept chatting while they made a new drink and placed it on the counter without looking or saying anything to my friend, she wasn't sure that was her drink because it was a bit busy so after a minute or so approached them to ask if it was indeed hers and they just said "yeah" and kept talking. While this isn't outrageously rude or anything, it completely lacks any semblance care for the customer. Truly makes me sad/disappointed because this place used to be great. Pretty disappointed in our food choices. I ordered the turkey burger, miss P sandwich, and Kimchi fried rice. Turkey burger - it's a processed patty with nothing fancy about it. For the price, I would have expected a homemade patty or at least one that was high quality. There was also barely any arugula or cheese on it. Kimchi fried rice- took one bite and it went in the trash. The rice was completely stale and hard Miss p sandwich- this has a good flavor but it was so cold that that it seems they make these sandwiches ahead of time and take them out the refrigerator when ordered. I finally went when I saw they had a monthly latte of the month that was Taro flavored which is one of my favorites. I went on a Saturday morning so there was a bit of a line to order but I liked that out on the line they had their menu posted so you could make a decision while you waited. I got two breakfast burritos for my fiance and I, my very coveted taro latte, and an earl grey tea muffin. While I waited I browsed the very cute plant pop up they had in the back of the restaurant. In regards to the food, everything was delicious. The breakfast burrito was HUGE. I couldn't even finish the whole thing. I loved the latte and the muffin as well. I do think that the prices they charge here are a bit steep, as others have mentioned, however the quality of the food I've tried did make it worth the price. I've been coming to this place since 2018 and from the beginning the food/drinks, ambiance and service has been great. Although through recent times, I've noticed that the effort with presentation with their food has been lacking, for example the yoke and shrooms. Overall my favorite dish to get when coming here, but I've been able to tell by the taste and presentation that the new chefs that have came on board have loosen their touch from how this place use to be. This place is delicious!! I can't emphasize how good the food was. I was so satisfied the first time I went that I went again the next day, and I am planning to stop by again soon. I got the Yolk and Shrooms toast both times I went and my sister ordered the Big Ass BAE. We were both satisfied with our food. I ordered a coffee shake the first day I went and then ordered a berry flavored latte the next day (they make their own berry flavored syrup). I was honestly skeptical about drinking berry flavored coffee, I've never been a fan but it was so good! The workers were so friendly and helpful with recommending and explaining the drinks to us. When I went they were out of cold brew and I wanted to try the cold brew float, but I will definitely be back and hopefully I can try the cold brew coffees soon. read more

It's hard to find ube anything in San Bernardino County, I always venture out, so I'm glad I found a place close to me. The steak and salsa pairing are perfect. Like 20-30 min for avocado toast, and there was hardly any line in front of us and not a full dining area. When I politely asked for it to be remade, she put my drink at the end of the queue and made three drinks ahead of me before she remade my latte. This said, we actually really love Combine Kitchen! Giving 3 stars because I was unable to order two of their specialty drinks because they were out, was unable to add oat milk because they were out, and all their grindrs are broken so I couldn't order decaf because they were out. That's when I was told to avoid the place on Friday's because they are usually out of everything Friday's. Based off the info sounds like they are being too conservative with their ordering practices and are leaving sales on the table not being able to meet the demand on their products regularly on Friday. I was able to order the spring fling latte which has rose and lavender syrup and the avocado toast. The coffee was good, only offered in 1 size, so not for the people wanting quantity over quality. The avacado toast was my mom's and she went crazy for it! I told multiple servers that there was a dead bird right outside the door but no one did anything about it. I mentioned that there were no napkins for me to be able to remove the bird and they literally just said " aww that's sad" referring to the dead bird and proceeded to do nothing about it. That was a very weird experience for me because I was in the service industry for multiple years and it was trained to make sure the outside of our establishment was also up to compliance. The breakfast menu appealed to me, but not so much to my wife and mother-in-law, who were expecting more traditional selections and a sit-down-and-order style establishment. When you walk in, there's only one large menu board, located on a glass covered table top. This is a little awkward when they're busy, as everyone is crowded around trying to read everything. There's also very specific instructions for ordering your coffee (see menu photos). DRINKS: Coffee drink selections were wonderful and delicious, however, there's no table service for the drinks and the ordering process is super regimented. Once ordered, your name is called and you have to go to the front counter to pick-up. We sat in the back and never heard our name being called. FOOD: I ordered the Steak & Eggs, which was served open-face on grilled garlic toast (very tasty). My wife and mother-in-law had the basic Combine Breakfast (2 eggs, 2 bacon, potatoes, and garlic toast)...they thought it was average. In all fairness, I believe the little quirks of the ordering process left them already weary of this place. SERVICE: High marks here...5 Stars. Everyone was super friendly and hustling.
