Maybe we just got some bad luck here but our experience was definitely not great. The food is not worth the price we had to ask our waitress to fix way too much I ordered the steak and eggs steak was flavorless borderline unseasoned and my over medium eggs were definitely overcooked and my toast forgotten. The second round of eggs were ALSO overcooked. At that point we gave up because we didnt want to bother our server another time. My aunt ordered chilaquiles which came criminally under sauced and the chicken was rubbery. My friend ordered at $9 plate of carnitas which was dry and the portion was extremely small for $9 Our server initially checked on us fast but we asked for a little more time and then waited another 15 minutes before we asked an employee who said theyd get the server but then no one came so we had to call after someone else another 10 minutes later. Wait time in general was ridiculous we were there over an hour and half and still didnt have all our food on the table. the waitress didnt seem to be paying attention to the kitchen window and they weren't notifying her either. Also we waited extremely long and paid $16 for a dutch baby that was smaller than my friends hand. HOWEVER the owner came over and was very apologetic and receptive to our feedback. We hope they can improve from here on out! The inside was very cute and the latte was good.

Tasted like a horchata matcha. My partner ordered the horchata latte w/an extra shot because they only have one drink size. He liked it though. They also sell food, but we didn't eat here. No pet friendly patio, but vegetarian options. The inside is cute and clean too.
When in Ontario, you gotta stop here this place DOVA , is fairly new about a year old. The owners and the staff are so nice and accommodating. As we first walked in my mom was complaining of the heat and I asked them where it was a good spot to sit because she was hot and they understood they actually brought out a fan just for her and put it right there next to her. I thought wow that's so kind of you to do that. The Resturant itself is so cute with the red pinkish flowers throughout and let me tell you they had Sade playing the entire time and really really good music which makes the biggest difference for me in a restaurant. Ambience is everything. They do have vegan options YAY.. which I absolutely love alongside with regular food both delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. Oh, and by the way, they have the best café de olla. The owner's Sandra and Anthony are so humble. They take the time to actually speak to the customers , greet and thank them for their patronage there. I love that I hope this place is here for a long time. I will definitely be going back. So, if you are in Ontario California, come stop by.

We went on a Saturday morning, right when they opened and they were still cleaning the floors and windows. It smelled heavily like PineSol in the restaurant. The smells went away eventually but we were thinking of leaving from the strong smell, as they were mopping right in front of our table as well. Overall, I think this place has potential, if they improve the food, adjust the pricing a little, and tone down the decor, it could be a really nice spot.

The overall ambiance of the place was genuinely beautiful the decorations absolutely suited the vibe down to the cups they served us with.

My eggs Benedict was also incorrect, and when we both ordered the café horchata, they arrived cold and tasted completely different from each other. (Forgot to take pics for reference) One thing I do appreciate is that they removed both dishes from our bill due to the issues, though we were still charged for the horchata. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly, I won't be returning.
Hubby and I were in the area and needed some food and found this spot and omg am so glad we went in! Parking is scarce but we found a spot. We had my maltipoo with us and we're gonna order to go but they graciously allowed us to bring her in and I am so grateful! My furbaby is 10 yo and fell asleep:) and we were overwhelmed with the menu but asked and got some recommendations and they hit the spot! Hubs got the French toast and loved it! I got the chilaquiles verdes and they were delicious! Am now obsessed with their cafe de olla! Will definitely be back!!

Had this spot on my places to visit for a while and I'm glad we finally had a chance to go. The salsa verde chilaquiles skillet with carnitas, oh my goodness sooooo good! Visited on a weekday morning right when they opened. Server informed us about items they did not have in that day one was avocado and cold brew which was what I was going to order. She was very friendly and attentive. The food looked much better than it tasted. The eggs didn't taste as fresh and almost watery. The French toast looked amazing but just felt like it needed something. The coffee was pretty good had a caramelita and a matcha but the matcha wasn't the best. First off this place adds a little beauty to Holt Ave, a place that needs that. My wife and I finally decided to have breakfast here and the inside of the cafe is a great atmosphere. This place is like any cafe where you can order to go by directly walking to the counter or self seating if you want to dine in. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the horchata latte (iced), the Nutella latte (iced) 10/10! We ended up devouring the plate before we even thought to write a review or take a picture. But hey, that's a good thing! Amazing staff and cooks! 10/10 service! Be kind and kindness comes to you! read more

Worst customer service ever at Dova Cafe. We waited over 35 minutes for our food. When it finally came out, they brought plates for my husband and me only to then tell us they were out of crepe batter, meaning there was no food for my daughters. What made it worse is that no one checked in on us the entire time. We were sitting there waiting, thirsty, with no updates or communication. Why not tell customers ahead of time instead of waiting until food is already on the table? They offered pancakes as a replacement, which felt like an afterthought rather than proper customer care. This experience could have been handled so much better with basic communication. Take your money elsewhere not worth it. read more

This place has become our go to place for breakfast and birthdays. The staff is always super friendly. The food is delicious! We had the carnitas omelette with the breakfast potatoes, signature steak quesadilla and signature carnitas cubano quesadilla and they were all very good! The coffees are also good. I've had the horchata latte, cafe de olla, and la morenita. For these hot days I recommend to try the iced horchata latte *chef's kiss*. The place is super cute. read more

New hidden Gem in the heart of Ontario!!!! I like to find coffee shops to work and saw this one on my maps for a while and I'm so glad I tried it today :) not only were the coffee drinks good, I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and my friend the Vegan soyrizo burrito and they honestly were so delicious. But the best part of it all was the service. A sweet lady came to ask for our coffee drinks and made them upon our liking, she kept checking up on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything, and come to find out she was the owner!! The place itself was so beautiful and authentic, it really reminded me of a vacation spot. Not expected at all from the hidden area it is in. We had a very pleasant experience at Dova Cafe. We were greeted and sat immediately upon arrival , our waitress was very kind, welcoming + offered great suggestions for drinks and food. We felt like the service fully exceeded our expectations. We were offered free sample of their delicious cafe de olla, and their homemade posole. (If it wasn't such a warm day I would have ordered both!) Ultimately the atmosphere was inviting , and cute and service The food and drinks were wonderful. Excited to return soon! read more

Entiendo que todo está muy caro ahora, pero si vas a pagar por una buena comida que por lo menos sea algo rico y de buena calidad. Pedimos entre 2 personas un French toast y no tenía sabor y aguados (saggy), chilaquiles verdes y que no tenían salsa verde en ese momento pero me ofrecieron rojos que no estaba tan mal la salsa, pero las papas de abajo se veían ya viejas refritas de mucho tiempo que no se podían ni morder y lo último por el inconveniente de la salsa verde me mandaron unas enfrijoladas.. No puedo creer que clase de enfrijoladas eran? sin freír la tortilla y con frijoles secos...que nada que ver enfrijoladas como en México que son tipo enchiladas pero de frijoles y no frijoles secos refritos, que ni las toque porque ni se antojaban no más de verlas. tristemente me dolió pagar $65 dólares por esto tan simple y de mala calidad y aparte tardaron más de 30 min en traer la comida. Ni gente había como para considerar el tiempo de espera. I understand that now everything is very expensive, but if you're going to pay, it should be for something tasty and a good quality of food. For 2 of us ordered French toast, and they were tasteless and soggy. We ordered green chilaquiles, and they didn't have green salsa. So then...They offered me red salsa instead; it wasn't too bad the salsa but the potatoes the bottom looked old, like they'd been refried, and were inedible. , they sent me enfrijoladas for the inconvenience of the salsa verde, I can't believe that...what kind of enfrijoladas they were! The tortillas weren't fried, and they were filled with dried beans--nothing like enfrijoladas. They're supposed to like enchiladas, but made with like kind of beans (salsa), not dried beans. I didn't even touch them. Im feeling sad. It hurt to pay $65 for something so simple and of such poor quality, and on top of that, it took more than 30 minutes to bring our food. There weren't even many people there, so the wait shouldn't have been worth it. Nothing but great things to say About this place. Owners and staff are so nice and attentive. Food was Amazing!!! Love the spot wasn't too crowded we were able to pick our seats right away. Felt more like your going to your tias house to eat more than a cafe so more of a homey vibe. Can't find alot of spots like that! Took My kids and one is very picky and the other one is a clean eater they both loved it!!! Definitely recommend this cafe to anyone in the area looking for a cute place to eat with good food!!!! read more

Coming here for breakfast has been a birthday tradition for me and my friends! Date of Visit: Saturday, January 10, around 9:30 AM We visited Dova Café on a Saturday morning and were the only guests in the restaurant. The space itself is very nice and inviting, but unfortunately, the service and food quality did not meet expectations. After being seated, the hostess mentioned someone would be with us shortly, but it took several minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. We ordered a Café de Olla and a Brown Sugar Latte, both advertised as 20 oz drinks. When served, each was only half full in a 20 oz mug. We pointed this out, and while they agreed to refill them, this should not have been an issue in the first place. It also took quite a while for someone to return and take our food order. My wife ordered the Breakfast Delight (waffles, two sunny-side eggs, two over-medium eggs, and house potatoes), and I ordered the Chilaquiles Skillet with over-medium eggs and chorizo. Breakfast took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive, and when it did, the food was lukewarm at best. The eggs were cold, and the skillet was not sizzling as you would expect. We brought this to the server's attention, and they explained that the food "normally comes warm," which is concerning. They offered to reheat the dishes, but it was clear they were microwaved--some parts came back hot, others still lukewarm. Additionally, my over-medium eggs were fully cooked, not prepared as requested. They did bring a second set of eggs, but those were also lukewarm. While the restaurant gave us a 35% discount and comped the drinks, the overall experience was disappointing. For an empty restaurant, service should have been faster, and food should have been served hot and prepared correctly. This café has a nice atmosphere, but the execution on food and service needs significant improvement. I truly hope they address these issues because, at this rate, I don't see them lasting long. Managers reply is incorrect and I stand to what I state and said. read more

Came to Dova Cafe with my friend got our drinks served by who we later found out was the owner! Incredibly friendly, kind, and outgoing! Owner went out of his way to make us feel welcomed, stopping by tables to chat and making sure guests were happy with their meals. It's rare these days to see that kind of genuine care and warmth. Not only was he this way his staff was too from the minute we walked in the door and took our order! Food was made fresh, tasted good & was aesthetically pleasing. I'll definitely be coming back. Dova Cafe is a gem, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and even better hospitality! read more

Both were bomb but it was our first time so we wanted to taste something different. Food hit the spot, I'm happy. We spent time there after we finished to hang out, it's was nice.
