march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser. Jason came to my home and I complained to him about mini-splits turn on in the off position. He(jason) stated he would put in a work request ASAP. I didnt here anything for a month until I posted a negative review with Mass-Save and BBB.Do not do business with this company! they are SHADY.

I was emailed a receipt immediately from his phone while he was in my house, so I assumed everything was above board. Waited several weeks after the cash was checked, made multiple calls over several months asking for updates with the response that "someone would get back to you soon." Sent two emails with the last one asking for my money back, still haven't heard anything. Notice the owner of the company responded on here once a few years back and that someone had a similar problem just last year, including a technician asking for half the payment upfront. I tried to be patient and was willing to hear them out as to what could cause a delay but I can't do that with zero information, so I decided to share my experience publicly. (Note: I don't know why Yelp is saying I live in CA, I live in MA.)

We called Monroe to look at our gurgling sinks and fix a toilet because we had a foul smell in the…read moredownstairs bathroom of our new "old" home. Monroe came out and secured our toilet but when he looked at our sinks he couldn't determine what the issue was or even if they were vented. He advised adding a special powder to the sinks to fix the smell. The powder did nothing for the smell and we had to get another plumber to come out to look at the sinks. There is a BIG problem with our plumbing and he totally missed it. The sewer line in the basement under the bathroom had a 2 ft long crack on the side and many of the old pipes in the house were rotten and need to be replaced. We were very disappointed with this plumber and even more insulted when we found GIANT 3 x 4 sticker for his company all over everything in the basement... the water heater, the fuse box, and even our new furnace. These are not even easy to peel off or a magnet. They had the new plumber confused because Monroe did nothing with those things besides try to "claim" the work as their own. (As our new plumber put it.) Since we were so disappointed in this plumber I am NOT calling them again and having reminders of them only prompted me to write this bad review. Avoid them and the "vandalism" of all your components with stickers. At least if you let them do it, you'll remember who to write a bad review for...
