They asked or should I say they told me to me to remove my review of them from yelp because it was bad for their company. I said "Why"?, that's my review of what I went through with dealing with you. The individual told me that he knows my next door neighbor and that we met, he was referring to a party that my neighbor had and had most of her colombian friends over. I responded "What does that have to do with anything"? He went on to say that I said my water heater was not leaking or broken so I told him that I was making a customer call for service and you people never, ever returned my calls. He told me they were busy with "No Heat calls" and I said every company was busy in Massachusetts and I am not talking about the service staff out in the field, I'm talking about the office staff not returning my many calls to them. He told me that they were busy too! I told him that they were too busy to call a customer back? He asked me again to remove my review of them which I responded "NO" it's my honest review of what I went through with ThermOil and told him about my awesome service dealing with 128 Plumbing and Heating in Wakefield, MA. And I went on to tell him that this phone call to me is only going to make a worse review of ThermOil. He responded "So you are not going to remove your review of our company" and I told him again "NO" and he hung up. Well, if I get a knock on my door and some guys from ThermOil tell me they are here to change my mind about my review of their company, I will let you know, lol. This is not Colombia and what tactics they do down in that country do not work well here in the USA. And you know if he said to me that they would do a free service to make it up, things would be different but he stuck to his intimidation tactic. Oh well, they "Live and Learn" in this day and age.

I told them I would do it myself, and reinstalled the original thermostat, which worked fine. 2 months later (in December) the furnace stopped. I called them, they said they would try to get here that day. We waited all day with no response. They came the day after and said they needed to order a part, but could not tell us when it would arrive. Into the weekend, after 2 full days without heat, they said to get heat on the weekend would cost $1200, or $700 if we waited until Monday or Tuesday. We chucked them and called another company. That company said this was a common problem and should have been caught in the inspection. They could come on the weekend to do it for $1000, or do it on Monday for $500. I shouldn't have called back after the thermostat issue, but I sure won't call again, and recommend anyone else also look elsewhere

After we paid the deposit, they notified us that the project would be delayed for one month due to COVID supply issues. I grudgingly accepted this as a consequence of the "interesting times" we live in, until our furnace completely blew out a few weeks before Christmas. The owner came out for the sales pitch and did a good job explaining etc. When the techs came, none spoke English and appeared to not know what they were doing - i.e. untrained. It took them 2 days to finish the install. I had an issue within a few weeks with the tank-less water heater and they sent their "best" plumber out. The plumber was not happy either and said that the pipes were not installed well and that it was "a mess." At a maintenance session a few years later, the tech told me I did not need to use filters and then proceeded to close up the filter opening. so I could not access it. Needless to say, within 2 years the system was not working, they sent out a repair tech who told me that the coils were filthy and it would need to be replaced. WHAT! Fortunately, they fixed it for free by cleaning it - not replacing it. I guess if you are paying for the repairs there is a different set of standards than if the company is fixing it. It does work, but am crossing my fingers that it will last through the next 6-7 years before I have to replace it. They appear to hire untrained workers hoping that no one will notice. Run away from them before you have a disaster too.
