    Amazonas Sour

Ate dinner here yesterday evening. Located on a quiet street next to Jack's Place close to the water. The interior had a classic bar vibe with music playing. It seemed very comfy but I opted to sit outside since it was such a nice day. Midnight Agave- tasty! Beautifully presented cocktail. Amazonas Sour - too syrupy for me but nice flavor Brussel Sprouts - not really spicy, just had a modest kick to it. The honey sauce was quite good. Hawaiian pizza - Delicious. The crust was extremely thin (had the cauliflower crust) which was great - it allows you to focus on the flavor and toppings. I requested the drizzle on the side and only ended up using a little bit of it - quite good. My server (Derrick?) was friendly and attentive. I'd recommend a visit!

Great off-King spot for craft drinks and great bar fare. We really liked the Nashville cheeseballs and the brother Phil, we will be returning for both. We went midday and had no problem getting a table, service was efficiently and prices as expected. Place seems to crawl outward, and has lounging areas with couches and coffee tables, so I imagine it would be a great evening spot to hangout for drinks with friends. Limited outdoor seating with no overhead coverage, but good for a nice day for a quick bite/drink with the pup. Great addition to old town!

Fun option for Old Town residents, visitors, and tourists. It is slightly off the King St beaten path. Too soon for me to tell if location will be a plus or minus. The previous (bbq) place didn't make it, I think, because of the location off the beaten path. Fingers crossed. I've been twice and really enjoyed their "Chicago style" super thin crust and Schlogan Butger, a double decker slam cheese burger. Both were excellent, full of flavor, and really hit the spot. Enjoyed the tots with the burger as well as a side of bbq sauce. Both times, Derreck took care of us. 5* there. He was attentive, available, and knew the menu despite it being so new. So far, love this place. Check it out!

Ryan is a fantastic manager! Deisha is so friendly and great at her service! The dirty fried rice is spectacular!! We sat outside but the inside is great. Totally Old Town Alexandria! Come enjoy everything this new place has to offer!!

New Best Burger in Old Town! We had an awesome evening here at The Commodore. The Schlogan Burger is the new best burger in this neighborhood. The fries are amazing (better than their tots although both were good) and we also really enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak. Some bites were perfect, others a tiny bit dry, would have liked just a little more cheese. Fried pickles were good, we liked the batter but wished they were saltier pickles. Great drinks and good vibes. Sit outside if you can, they have a nice little patio and Queen St is much quieter and more enjoyable than King. Couple of hiccups with our service (delivered the wrong drink, which was still delicious, and forgot the ketchup) but staff were very friendly, they were just having a very busy night. The poblano ranch slaps. Can't wait to come back!

My favorite bar used to be at this address 12 years ago...after it shut down I stopped going. Now The Commodore has open at 220 Lee St., gave it a try last night. LOVED everything about it. HH is 4-7. Had a delicious Chicago hot dog while we waited for friends. They have a pool table and we played darts. They have TVs, the service was great and lastly we ordered the DMV Hawaiian....pork belly, pineapple with Mambo drizzle, HIGHLY recommend. Definitely check it out!!!!!!

New location! Really fun place! Good drinks and good beer selection. I had the Negroni, and it was fantastic. Here you can play pool, darks, arcade games, and they've got a stash of table games to the immediate right by the round table in the arcade room. Service is super friendly! Ambiance is casual and fun...great vibes here!

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

Upon entering the restaurant, first impression was that it was clean compared to other sports bars. We reserved the private room which was comfortable. Usually when I frequent sports bars, I have a hard time finding something on the menu that I find appetizing. Well, not here! I've been a fan of mushrooms since childhood and so the mushroom ravioli stood out to me and it was delicious! It's a hefty portion if you add additional protein. Too bad I forgot my to-go container and noticed when I was nearly home :( I tried my friend's Fish & Chips which were equally delicious and perfectly crispy. I'll come back to get my own plate of Fish & Chips and French Onion Soup. The White Russian was especially well-done.
