    Commonwealth Stage, featuring Bahamas

Hidden little gem! What a fantastic, centrally located venue for live music! They sure have a nice sound system that puts out ultra crisp acoustics, and also some serious bass that reverberates through your entire core. I really enjoyed the personable atmosphere -- the stage is so incredibly close that you can practically walk up and read the musicians' tattoos if you'd like, assuming that's your jam. The place is spacious, yet manages to have a cozy ambiance. In the back of the stage room there was some seating for folks. Out at the bar they were serving drinks for the show. :) Overall a very positive experience!

Love this venue! It is well-run with clean bathrooms, amazing staff, and ample room inside and outside for parking. Easy to access, easy to exit, great outdoor patio. We've been to many shows here over the years.

    Love that disco ball action.

Just saw Eric Johnson play here and it was amazing! The venue was small and intimate.

Amazing smaller venue, with great sound. Plenty of parking, very clean bathrooms, two bars. I cannot wait to see another show there.

Is there a coat check? How much is it?

We would like 2 tickets to Tommy Emmanual, but only see GA as option. Don't see where GA sits? What does FOH stand for?

We were very careful to stay out of his way while we checked out the under 21 section and we were not disappointed, except for the small group singing karaoke without a DJ or MOC to keep the room lively, but maybe that's just showing my age . In addition to occasional live music, outdoor patios, multiple bars, and an interesting floor plan, there is plenty of space for those under 21-years old to party, too. This is a dynamic yet safe environment for kids (18-21) and adults alike. There's ample parking and plenty of rooms, each with a different feel. Every bartender we interacted with was courteous and professional. The bar was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was clean and stocked. I have no reservations about this place and recommend everyone check it out for themselves.

They also have a small patio which is nice if you need a spot to decompress. When I came, the place wasnt packed. Lol I mean 20$ entrance and on top of that they choose their tip as well lol Last time I went I gave my credit card to the host, she made the transaction on the iPad and didn't really offer to sign, she chose her own tip and signed for me !!! I hope they know that is illegal. I didn't catch it at the time because I was a little tipsy and noticed it later when I checked my card statement. -The security people at the door are ok but the security people inside are very tense, rude, and out of their mind. I haven't experienced anything myself but have seen so much in the club that has made me not wanting to go here any longer. Security argues with people here all the time here , people get out of the club for little reasons, and I know someone who got beaten by them awhile back... I feel like the security make most of the tension here and 90% of the time it leads to some type of fight/shooting/stabbing/etc... I haven't seen anything on the karma side of the club yet, but the echo side is terrible as far as security goes. I'm done with this place myself, and wouldn't go back here again. There are far better places in Slc.

All I do it sit quietly at the end of the bar nearest the door, say please and thank you for drinks, pay my tab, leave a nice tip and leave. I guess minding your own business and not causing problems is their version of making people feel uncomfortable. It seems that their self-proclaimed "welcoming and safe place for all" bullshit is just that, bullshit. I have been made to feel uncomfortable by some of the clientele, but I didn't throw a fit over it. This included whoever wrote on the bathroom wall "Kill Trump". Really? It's too bad as I had not been going there for long at all and I was getting to like the new digs - it used to be called Wasted Space - and I was getting to know the staff. Allie was always nice to me. So were the other bar tenders and the blonde gal who checked ID's. I am terrible with names. Yes, I am older than who usually hangs out in there, but you know, "welcoming". Not so much. Anyway, there are plenty of other places to get drinks. If International doesn't want my business, OK. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I was visiting for the weekend and looking for places to go dancing. It was so hard, but after a…read morewhile, I'm glad I heard about this social. For those who are unfamiliar with the Afro-Caribbean/Latin dance world, for many people in the dance community, social dancing is the main reason we decided to start dancing Salsa/Bachata/Merengue/Cumbia, etc. It has two aspects to it: the obvious social one --providing an opportunity to meet other people with the same interest --and dancing - connecting with a partner to create an in-the-moment, completely improvised, spontaneous dance to a song. It's super fun to dance with someone for the first time and try to figure out each other's styles. That's why I enjoy going dancing when traveling. This social is held every 2nd & 4th Saturday inside the Millenium Dance Complex. I was told to look for the stairs and lights, but it was the music that helped me find them. There's an hour dance lesson at 9:30pm and the social is from 10:30pm to 1:30am. Cover is $13 and they have water bottles for $1. The place is a dance studio so there's smooth floors and mirrors on the wall. It is spacious enough to where you don't have to worry about bumping people too much. Also, the music was on point! They played a wide range including Cumbia, Dominican Bachata and classic Salsa songs. I had a blast. Highly recommend!
