First of all, Francisco made me and my husband feel welcome. We got chilaquiles and loved our chilaquiles. This is authentic Mexican food.

Small place but the food here tastes like grandmas/Moms homemade cooking. The server Ruby is very friendly and the cooks put heart into each meal. This is definitely a spot you should go out of your way for!

    Veggie omelette Biscuit and Gravy

Charlys kitchen express is a small hole in the wall with a really good breakfast menu. My veggie omelette was great and the skillets are nice too. I think it's just two of them but the guy taking orders and waiting tables was really nice and attentive.

The atmosphere is cozy it has that warm, comfort-food vibe that just makes you relax and enjoy your time. The food definitely delivers on that "home-style" promise. We ordered a variety of dishes: the country fried steak skillet, the hobo skillet, and the chicken fried steak--all hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! This is a perfect stop if you're traveling along the I-15--especially for road trippers or truck drivers looking for a solid, comforting meal. Just keep in mind they're open from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend if you're craving good, filling comfort food in a welcoming, homey setting

Plenty of menu choices, and they have a few decent offerings for senior menu breakfast or lunch. Ordered the Senior Two egg omelette w/spinach and sausage/home potatoes/banana bread although it turned into pumpkin by the time it got to me (no biggie, ate it anyway ). Plenty of sausage but will try bacon and spinach next time, and there will be a next time. Two light eaters - my friend ordered a cinnamon roll so we split my breakfast and her cinnamon roll. We could not finish the cinnamon roll because the omelette was so good and hot. The cinnamon roll was not my style, a little on the dry side, and I prefer it without the whole pecans (or walnuts)? Good, I just would rather have more gooey, buttery cinnamon weaving throughout. I would definitely come back here and recommend it for easy parking, quick service and good ole diner food. I feel it's the best of the breakfast places that I have found in the high Desert.

And I'm a new fan of an old favorite! The food is old timey, country style cooking. It never occurred to me until I tried it but this is the style of cooking that those tv dinners try to emulate, but this food is so much better. It won't win any culinary awards but the portions are huge, food is rib-stickingly satisfying, and it's a guarantee that you'll leave completely full and very likely with leftovers for the next day. The prices are pretty fair too- it was about $20 for a full dinner w 3 sides and 2 biscuits, which was about the same cost but twice the food as the meager fast food option I got the day prior. Between the two I would go for this place every time. It was so nice being on the road and having a real food option without breaking the bank

My husband wanted the Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes (brown gravy on the side) and green beans. The sides were the only things that tasted fresh. The chicken, was precooked, too breaded and reheated. My husband also wanted all dark meat, but the guy said he couldn't because it came in a bag? He ended up eating the two dark pieces and throwing the others away. I ordered the Rainbow Trout, broccoli and although I ordered a Sweet Potato, they gave me a white potato with everything. The trout was dry and not very flavorful. I threw the 2nd filet away. The Broccoli was delicious and cooked to perfection. The potato was a potato and not what I wanted. I won't be ordering dinner from Cracker Barrel again, however, I will still do dine in breakfast on occasion.

It's a charming local spot with a cozy, intimate vibe that's perfect for a first date or a quiet night out. That said, the prices are extremely high for what's offered, especially if you're coming in with family. It's not the most affordable option for a regular dining experience, and that was disappointing considering how much I enjoy supporting local restaurants. If you're looking for a romantic, local place to try once, especially for a date night, I'd still recommend stopping by. We came for dinner, and the lighting was very dim, making it hard to read the menu (they also use QR codes, but I prefer a physical menu). We started with the ceviche verde limon, which had very little shrimp, lots of onion, and it needed more lemon. Our bartender, Carlos, was friendly and made excellent cantaritos (10/10). Unfortunately, the entrées didn't impress. The Camarones de Don Lupe were chewy and tasted previously frozen, however the salsa they came with was very tasty and the carne en su jugo was just okay. Overall, great vibe but overpriced for the food quality. I might return for brunch since I've heard they have live mariachi.

We came here about 3 years ago for my son's birthday, and he insisted on coming back here again for this year's birthday. The waiter was nice and attentive, he didn't have any issues waiting when we needed more time to decide on our order, and he was quick to correct an issue when our food arrived. We never ran out of our drinks, which is a feat in itself with how fast the kids drain theirs! The best part for me was when I showed the waiter a picture of a drink I ordered 3 years ago and the bartender was able to replicate it and tell me what it was so I could order it again. It wasn't on their menu anymore, so it was impressive that he was able to identify it from a picture. Bring back the White wine Sangria, it's delicious! Oh, I also have to mention that when they brought the ice cream out to sing happy birthday, they made sure to include an ice cream for my 5 year old so that she didn't feel left out. The item was actually supposed to be chicken suizas, but we received chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Ironically, my mom liked this first order more than the second one. My mom enjoyed her chicken enchiladas. 2nd order: Shrimp fajitas, but I received fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak. I made an attempt to eat the steak but it was dry. We ordered chicken suizas and received the actual chicken suizas, which did not have shredded chicken but blocks of chicken. My mom hated this dish and said it made her sick unfortunately. The manager was gracious in correcting the mistakes and gave us some delicious churros, so that helped. The flour tortillas seemed handmade, they were very fluffy. The salsa and chips were good.
