Having been in business for 35 years I can attest that Jose is a highly skilled computer guy. He is also one of the most decent people I know. He has been servicing my computers for seven years and seen me through multiple viral attacks, coffee spills, blabla, and assisted twice in purchasing used computers. When I say 'assisted', what I really mean is 'took over', making sure I was getting what I needed, and at the right price. Recently, he even took the time to shop around himself, and produced a beautiful Mac that I love! Without any warning, my laptop started shutting down at random points throughout the day, which made work almost impossible so I needed it fixed that afternoon. When I called Jose, he agreed to fix my laptop that afternoon and into the evening to make sure I had it for the next day. He even followed up the next day to make sure it was still running well. In the end, Jose had to replace my hard drive and operating system but it did it for a really fair (and low) price and now my computer runs better than it has in years. Just got to recommend to anyone who need an IT tech guy that is knowledgeable in computer networking and repair. He recently did a job for me at a fair price for setting up all my printer server by giving it an IP address to easily find on our network. I was able to have him help resolve several computer that were installing window 10 but wasn't compatible. I really didn't like Window 10 version, it always ask for update. Jose is AWESOME! I called trying to find help diagnosing why my computer screen stopped turning on. He gave me a couple of times he could come by (yes, he makes house calls!), and was able to be there in a matter of hours. I'm used to dealing with cable companies and maintenance workers who arrive hours late or don't give you a heads up on there way, so I appreciate that Jose was the exact opposite. He came prepared with a monitor and explained how he was testing the computer, totally not annoyed by my hovering. He summed up what could be wrong, how much it would cost, and what would happen if the cheaper fix wasn't possible. He helped me come to my own conclusion that the repairs were probably not worth it and I should find a used one. He then listed off the brands I should and shouldn't trust, let me know what used ones he had for sale, and told me to be careful on craigslist and get a minimum 30 day warranty. I'm good with electronics scams, but I probably wouldn't have thought about the warranty. The most amazing thing is that everything he advised me to do meant that he wasn't going to make money off of me. He was so concerned that I would waste money that it made me want to hire him for any and all computer help I need in the future, and I definitely will! Note- he didn't charge me for the diagnosis/assessment/whatever you call it. But keep in mind, the guy is driving to your house to give you the best advice and service you could hope to get, so at least tip him for the gas! read more

I contracted "onlinefwd", a redirecting virus that completely took over the browsers on my Lenovo. It's one that Malwarebytes, AVG and even Kapersky couldn't detect or remove. After a trip to Best Buy and being told it'd be a minimum of 3-6 days and $200 to clean it out, I realized I should have A: looked up and supported a local business instead and B: remembered that Best Buy isn't the best. A quick search for local computer repair and I stumbled on Jose, who was at my place within an hour and had my laptop running clean within another hour at an extremely reasonable price. When my macbook (containing key records of my professional and personal life) wouldn't boot up one afternoon, I had a bit of a freakout. Called a couple places in Hollywood that took too long to get back to me or didn't seem capable. Found Joseph aka Compucare on google, liked his reviews, and gave him a shot. He turned his car around to meet me at his modest apartment where he quickly diagnosed my issue being a faulty harddrive using computer magic. He lent me some hardware to allow me the chance to backup my data during the short periods the hard drive would mount until we got together the next day, when he replaced my hard drive, cleaned my computer, and helped me source some software - all for under $200. I can't imagine a better resolution to a crappy problem, so if you have trouble with your computer, call this guy up!
