Poor Service...good food. It was the Saturday before Halloween, so our waitress was dressed like a dark angel with black wings and a halo and slightly spooky make up. When my mother-in-law asked for extra spoons so we could taste her soup she never brought them. We had to ask a man who is probably a manager and he brought them right away. When we asked for something, it took a long, long time. Also, she an attitude that seem like we were bothering her or she was superior to us maybe. We were kind and courteous and didn't ask for much. The Conche started and ended with chocolate but there wasn't as much as I had hoped for in between.  The minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a big display case filled with treats.  The wall art features a lot of vintage looking chocolate posters and there is even a pass through window into the kitchen where chocolate making is said to be in process.  Several items on the menu feature cocoa nibs or some form of chocolate but you couldn't really  taste it on the burger I ordered despite the description. The restaurant offered several fun cocktails and flights of drinks along with chocolate pairings.  The best part was the dessert which was, as they say "da bomb."  It was a bit beautiful chocolate sphere which they set on fire with rum and then caramel sauce. First the top of the dome disappears from the heat of the fire and then the rest of the dessert disappears just as quickly from the plate as everyone shares the generous portion.  It isn't inexpensive, but, it is fun and dramatic and enough for several people to enjoy.  The restaurant was super noisy when we were there.  The surfaces are all hard and reflect all the noise and there was a family with two adorable little ones but they were literally climbing all over the backs of the banquet seats and spidermanning all around the place.  Fun to watch, maybe, for a moment but then ... The restaurant is located in a cute area with plenty of parking.  The only problem is that the parking garages on either side of the development are twins and it is very easy to get turned around and not be able to remember exactly where you parked...  I really wish more garages would simply paint a column or two with a color and a code such as L2.  It would make it so much easier...  Of course, that could just be that we were all suffering from our delightful overindulgence of that chocolate dessert and the real world and the parking garages seemed to fade out in comparison. read more

Sunday nights seems as if they are less busy but you should still make a reservation. As stated previously, the outdoor dining was available first come first serve. Their outdoor dining arrangements are very cute for a date night as it is closed off and the tables are lined up for 2 people only. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and even recommended their best dish for my girlfriend which was absolutely delicious. He was very nice and hospitable. Our food was also delicious. We got the calamari to start and I ordered the Conche Burger to start. One thing I didn't like was how my patty was very salty. It had flavor to it, however, and the juice was flowing after every bite. But it was very very salty. I kind of got tired of it after a while. They offer garlic fries for an additional $7. What an amazing experience! There is so much this place has to offer from the handcrafted cocktails, to the decadent chocolates/pastries/cakes and lets not forget the full food menu! We did a date lunch here, as it had been on our "want to try" list for a while now! We ordered the sweet and sour cauliflower, the salmon, the duck and a order of fries. The florets of cauliflower were very decent size and the fried batter it was in was light and not oily. I particularly do not care for the sweet and sour sauce in general - I would have liked it to be the schezwan sauce. The salmon was amazing! I really enjoyed that it had the color contrast on the plate with purple potatoes, white potatoes, and greens from the creams spinach. The duck was delicious! Cooked perfectly at a medium, with the polenta and spinach. Ivan came by our table, as we were interested in the cocktail making class. Online it doesn't give a lot of info as to how interactive it is or not. Ivan was able to break it down for us a little bit more and sold us on it. So we came back a few hours later to attend. Samet was our host, and amazing, teacher in our cocktail making class! There was only one other couple doing it with us! The intimate sized group made it so relaxing, interactive and excitingly fun! Samet had us cracking eggs, measuring spirits, stiring, shaking, torching, and most importantly, enjoying! I couldn't think of a more fun couples event than this course. We even got recipe printouts to take home! I have to say, this restaurant had it all from date night vibe, to classes, girls night indulgence in desert and cocktails. We will definitely be back! My experience here was over 5 stars in all aspects. Our server Josh was a delight. Make sure you request his service! He was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us great insights and recommendations. He was quick and timely! The one time we noticed our adult beverages were late- there came Josh with complimentary champagne before we even asked what was up!!! The food was AMAZING. Both of our plates were empty. I ordered the Campanelle pasta with short rib and mushroom cream sauce. Delicious sauce, not too salty, al dente pasta, and a great amount of moist flavorful short rib. I would eat it everyday for the rest of my life if it didn't mean I would weigh 1000 pounds. Josh warned me it was not a "light summer dish" to which I said Challenge Accepted! My BFF ordered the salmon. She said it was one of the best salmon entrees she has had! The crafted cocktails are superb- DEF get the cocktail flight to start and try out the different flavor profiles! We ordered two desserts and split each- the chocolate passion fruit one was a STAR! The chocolate one with chocolate pop rocks was also a spectacular treat. Josh surprised us and asked us about our friendship and our outing that evening. He ended up bringing our dessert plate out with chocolate writing that said "Friends 4 Eva" HOW CUTE!! No server I've ever encountered was as attentive and went above and beyond the way Josh did. I hadn't even realized DC's Co Co Sala was permanently closed but am thrilled to know there is The Conche conveniently located in a town center with a free parking garage right behind it. I thoroughly enjoyed their version of Shrimp and Grits minus chorizo for brunch & bestie loved the Conche Burger. The moussestache martini and the Conche's Manhattan were my favorite cocktails while Bestie preferred the strawberry based Fetish. We both really loved the chocolate barbecue sauce and siracha dip for our French fries and we also managed to save room for dessert. That chocolate creme brûlée and the Conche's churros should not be missed. I'm looking forward to circling back to The Conche for dinner. read more

I have been to the Conche several times now and every single time was fantastic. This is one of my favorite restaurants and it is a hidden gem. We tried a couple course meals and every course the flavor hits the spot. We also been their for their valentines fixed course meal and they were very accommodating with the allergies and they did an outstanding job, top notch! Service was always so friendly. My favorite is the Spiced Crusted Rouen Duck, but everything on the menu is amazingly good. The dessert is delicious too. I am a big dessert fan, and the presentation and taste is 10/10. When we first stepped in, the host handed a red rose before he escorted us to the table. As soon as we sat down, the server gave a full rundown of health and safety precautions and dining etiquette for pandemic. The restaurant was well staffed that it was not crowded. All staffs were very knowledgeable with food ingredients and beverages. There was never a moment when we felt like nothing was taken care of. Fabulous! Whiel visiting my daughter she has been dying to take me to this restaurant so we went tonight. It has a very neat appearance from the curbside. We had reservations and when we ride we were seated immediately. The restaurant is actually a lot larger than it appears from the outside. It is very deep. We set in the front of the restaurant by the windows. Our waitress greeted us upon sitting and offer three different menus why menu, dinner menu, chocolate's menu. We opted also for salads I inquired about any additional salads maybe not on menu was advised that they have a green salad and that turned out to be very nice with hints of citrus dressing. Finally got to The Conche for brunch. Truly amazing! I had wanted to try the chocolate chip pancakes for ages and finally got the chance. They are SO good! Not to much chocolate - just the right blend and so light and fluffy! The scrambled eggs were honestly the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in my life. The Conche has been on my list of places to try for a while so I was looking forward to our visit. We had dinner reservations and we were seated in a reasonable time after our arrival. After ordering our cocktails, the waitress stopped back a little bit later to take our dinner order and let us know that the bartenders were backed up so our drinks would be a while. Eventually, our cocktails came out and the Oh My 'Rita was fine, but nothing extraordinary that I'd order again. The calamari was tasty, good flavoring in the batter. I had the salmon which was a little overcooked. The accompanying beans were flavorful. My date had the risotto and the serving portion was barely enough for a kids meal. Also had a glass of wine which was a little light on the pour. After finishing our meal we waited and waited for service. The waitress and servers were all friendly but service throughout was slow. We were interested in trying a dessert, but we sat there long enough that it was easy to mull it over and decide to take a pass. We left a little disappointed and hungry. There are other nice Leesburg restaurants where we can get great service and delicious food for a similar price point. The Conche misses the mark. read more

Such an unexpected delight! Girlfriends said I had to try! Such a great girls night idea, or date night, or family night, or really any scenario. Delicious food. Wonderful (safe) service. Fun vibe. There were four of us girls in a booth across from the dessert kitchen which was very fun to watch. They are known for cocktails and desserts so plan accordingly. Two of us got the rye 'smoked' drink served table side. The smoke and style of service was very cool. Delicious too. Another got the purple lychee Prosecco drink and loved it but we all appreciated our drinks' show! I used to love Coco Sala so when I saw the head chef on the news saying he opened a new restaurant a while ago I told my husband we were going. It's in Leesburg which is a bit of a hike for me but after dining here let me tell you- IT WAS WORTH IT!!! Everything was delicious. This might be the best food I've ever had at a restaurant. We started with the lamb cigars. They were ground lamb wrapped in crepes and fried. They were light and had a very good flavor. The dipping sauce that came with it kind of tasted like mustard. I enjoyed it without the sauce. My husband got the braised short rib and I did the ribeye for entrees. They both came on a bed of garlic and goat cheese infused pureed potatoes that was to die for. The short ribs were so tender and not full of fat. The ribeye was like butter. Two words- food orgasm. For dessert we did the cocoa flight of cocktails , the manjari and espresso yourself. We could both do without the flight. In fact, the cocktails we had with dinner weren't really worth it. My husband got a vesper and I got some kind of passion fruit rum punch that tasted like straight juice. The actual desserts were beyond delicious. My advice is everyone needs to try this place for the food. Pass on the drinks and get a night cap somewhere else. read more

Wow! There was a lot to choose from, and they all sounded like dreamy picks! Well the manager came over and helped us decide. I decided on the Mustache cocktail. Any drink can be made into a cocktail or a mocktail. My cousin went with their salted caramel hot chocolate. Our Calamri arrived, it was fine. Just about average to most fried calamari, it came with fresno aioli dipping sauce. My mustache is a chocolate martini. This was next level! There was a generous layer of the thick chocolate mousse in my martini glass. It was so chocolatey! It also came with a mustache on a stick, and that was very quality dark chocolate. My cousin's Salted Caramel, didn't have the extravagant presentation that mine came with, but hers was also so delicious! This is for sure not your bag over hot water hot chocolate.. it was flavorful like fall, it was rich and creamy all the way through, not just the top layer! I saw what other people were having, and those looked like art masterpieces! If you like chocolate even a little, this place is a must visit! The Conche is absolutely one of my favorite places to go. Date nights, just because, afternoon lunch, you name it! When I first read about The Conche, I was a little apprehensive with most menu items having a chocolate relation. There was no reason whatsoever, because this place is everything! Just think Top Chef or Michelin, but on a smaller, more affordable scale. At The Conche, you will experience masterful pieces of lunch, dinner, and dessert. They have the best hot chocolates, the best desserts, and even the salads are AH-MAZING! The owner, Chef Santosh Tiptur, is typically in-house. When not in the kitchen, you will see Santosh out speaking to guest and having 'real' conversations. The staff are outright great people. I have been a zillion times and never experienced anyone having a bad day. The team is very knowledgeable about the menu, and dynamite at suggesting something for your likes. It's another establishment that carries a team atmosphere. You need water? No problem, someone, not necessarily the person who took your order, will get it for you! Love this!! Desserts. Try them all! They have an in-house lab where you can see the magic happen (from your own seat if you're lucky). These are hand-crafted desserts that are just the most beautiful things plated. Snap a picture before your first bite. I would say pricing is not the cheapest, but then again, it should not be. The Conche is an experience. We visited for the first on a Saturday for brunch. We had a reservation and were promptly seated at a small two seat booth right next to the kitchen. Zero am since being shoved in the back of the restaurant. Our server was great, polite, funny, great hospitality. The menu is limited. You can either choose a 3 course prix fixe or order a la carte. The prix fixe is 44 bucks which seemed a bit much so we went with a la carte. I ordered the hash flatbread and was sadly underwhelmed. Huge chunks of crunchy bell pepper and onions-and I love both of those, but huge chunks on a small flatbread, not good. It came with a fried egg which I thought would be on the flatbread but was slapped on the plate, no salt, no pepper (and none on the table). Why can't restaurants season fried eggs? A small salad was also on the plate but the lettuce was soggy. It was disappointing. My husband ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese and he loved it. But it was 26 bucks and the portions are small. The espresso martinis were good but very strong and no beans! But they did come with a small toasted marshmallow. We also got dessert and that was probably the best part. We took our server's recommendation and got the manjari. It was pretty good. Overall though I can't justify the price for the tiny portions. I had heard great things, so we decided to drop into the Conche for a quick dinner before heading over to the nearby Harry Potter experience with our kids. I have to say, I was a little disappointed, especially at the price point. We only ordered apps and desserts (and one chocolate martini called a moustache) but left quite underwhelmed, other than with respect to the drink (which was great!) and one of the desserts. Everything else was fine, but I doubt I would order any of them again. We had the calamari, the cheese fritters, and the pork belly buns. The calamari was OK - very bready and not a lot of calamari - half the dish appeared to be fried peppers. The cheese fritters were meh and, though the plate they were served on was very hot, they varied between room temperature and cold. The pork belly was definitely the winner of the three, but it was also not hot, and I've had much better at other places. For dessert, my youngest had the chocolate cake (which they served with alcohol-filled ice cream, I think, by mistake), my other daughter had the tower of bonbons (which were very good), I had the pumpkin cheesecake, and my wife had the Mancari (I think). The Mancari and bonbons were good; the others we did not like. The pumpkin cheesecake was very large (odd to complain about, I know) and while light, very gritty. (I didn't finish my half of the dessert). I wrote early about Mama's Apple Pie, and I would take their pie over any of what we had. Our server was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was a number of mishaps We wanted to come for the brunch and I had called specifically to confirm there would be a brunch Saturday. The host confirmed there would be the brunch menu today. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was no brunch- only the dinner menu which was significantly pricier and had we known, we probably would have gone somewhere else. We ended up ordering the burger, the short ribs, the flight and the Conche Entrement. Burger (4/5): really juicy and had great flavor. Loved the juiciness of the patty and was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Couldn't taste the chocolate in the cocoa bbq sauce but was a solid burger. Short Ribs (2/5): Although it's been braised for 72 hours, it wasn't super tender. The overall flavor profile was just salty. Could not taste the chocolate in the chocolate burgundy sauce at all. Also tinyy portion sizes for $39 Cocoa Flight (3/5): three flights- the Fetish, Old Fashioned, and Mousstache. The Fetish tasted like a strawberry margarita mix. The Old Fashioned and Mousstache were okay but not worth it at $24. Conche Entrement (3.5/5): a fun show and a pretty decent dessert. Had a good mix of different chocolate flavors and love the tangy, fruity, passionfruit(?) layer inside. Would recommend splitting as it's pretty large! Everything was super pricy. In particular- the short ribs at $39 was super pricy and I was hungry afterwards. Would recommend as a fun place to spend with friends but would lower expectations for the actual quality of food and drinks. And although there weren't too many tables, our glasses were almost always empty of water. read more

Very disappointing. This place went from one of my favorites to not a chance I would return. Bubbles and chocolate consisted of three shot type glasses and dots of chocolate... a far cry from what I have experienced previously at this location. I don't know if the burger was picked up in the frozen section of the grocery store, but if it was, it was from the sale section; I've certainly had better frozen burgers. As a matter of fact, I consider Wendy's to be gourmet compared to what I was served. The flat iron steak was more fat than meat and my happy hour fries were three times the size of the fries served with the steak. It was just an overall huge disappointment. The only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star is because I am ever the optimist that they can turn things around. And to add insult to injury, we walked into an empty restaurant with a reservation and we were seated at the smallest table there. When we left, only 5-6 tables were occupied, so glad our early reservation afforded us the opportunity to sit at a tiny table in the back near the bathrooms. read more

I've done 'the experience' both times and every course is better than the last. My husband said his Apple French toast was amazing. I had the chicken biscuit and it was delicious. While the food is truly noteworthy- the Grinch brunch is our favorite because of this Grinch! Whoever is in that costume is fantastic! Engaging, but not pushy when a kid needs time to warm up. After hearing so many positive things being said and reading social media reviews, I was finally able to come here on a Saturday evening for dinner. We came as a group of 4 and the place was PACKED! Good thing we made reservations months ahead (hint - Make reservations!), we were seated immediately. The place is really small on the inside, but they have lots of seating and even a bar, so the end result is not much shoulder room. But once we were at our table, we didn't feel cramped, we were comfy and able to enjoy dinner and each other's company. Their menu is rather simple, as there are a handful of entrées, and I think an equal amount of appetizers and desserts too. Their wine list is really limited, I believe only offering a few varietals and one wine per, but they did an adequate job with their selections. We started with calamari and brussel sprouts. The calamari was PERFECTLY battered (which was lightly) and fried (which was lightly as well) to make the best texture (which is not rubbery nor tough) calamari! The sauce was really nice with it well and I love when they fry up some cherry peppers too, as that offers a nice zing each bite of calamari. The brussel sprouts were excellent! Not over-cooked, but full-size and still tender inside. The seasoning and sauce was outstanding! These were very tasty and they didn't last on our table long!! For entrées we tried salmon, which was raved about and I tried the sizzling chicken. I thought it was called "Sizzling" because it had harissa on it, but it turns out it's called that because it's served on a hot iron platter (think fajita platter) and it literally comes to the table sizzling (I'm not a fan of that). The flavor was excellent! I liked the flavors of everything on the dish, definitely the harissa! The chicken thighs were tender and the fingerling potatoes were tender and tasty. Save room for dessert, they have a very interesting and unique dessert menu and they make all desserts right there, on premises! I spent all the time we were there for dinner looking at everything coming from the pastry kitchen and it was hard to decide. Whatever you choose, you probably can't go wrong! Service was decent, though a little rushed when it came to taking orders and the table turn. I'd love to see them be able to get more space to expand into. This was definitely a really nice dinner and I would highly recommend The Conche (pronounced "Conk") to any serious foodie just as much as to someone looking for a nice, flavorful dinner! read more

We were celebrating my friend's birthday at Conche. We made reservations one week ahead of time which I highly recommend. It's a popular dinner venue. The restaurant is nicely decorated and a stylish place to celebrate special occasions. (1) ask for a booth if possible-those are the best seats in the house. (2) let them know if you have a special occasion-they'll work something special for you into your night. Conche is always loud, always cramped for space. This is always the way it's going to be...but the patrons always come back because of the food, drinks and desserts. The menu is fantastic. Every selection is cooked with the best ingredients and absolutely delicious. It's always a good meal. I've never been disappointed. I highly recommend Conche. Once you have your dinner meander around the plaza a bit. Have after dinner drinks elsewhere. Sit around the town center fire pit! The plaza is wonderful-lots to do. My girls and I have always done a pre-Valentine's Day dinner...I mean every year for at least 10 years. Sadly, the place (Coco Sala in DC) where we started the tradition closed its doors leaving us without a place to enjoy amazing drinks, food, service, cocktails and CHOCOLATE!! Well......somehow, some way, we FOUND their "sister" restaurant - The Conche but in Leesburg, VA!! Ugh!! So what do we do? We take a road trip!!! YEAH!! We were SO excited to get to the restaurant that it seemed to have taken FOREVER to get there one Saturday afternoon - no way were we going to fight that traffic after work from DC! Any-who...we were seated at a nice large booth where we could spread out and share our cards, laughs, cocktails, giggles, main courses and DESSERT! OMG Let me calm down....so we had the pleasure of being served by...IVAN!! He was SUPER ATTENTIVE, professional (put up with 3 hangry and thirsty for cocktails Ladies lol) and made some awesome recommendations!! We loved Ivan!! Cocktails B ordered: Fetish, The Moussetache (BOTH ARE AMAZING!) Appetizers/Starters: Crispy Sweet & Sour Cauliflower was amazing!! Bacon Mac & Cheese melted in my mouth! Entrées: Seared Scallops - was told it's was delish! Braised Short Ribs - melted in my mouth Spiced Cauliflower Flatbread - yummy! Dessert: Jivara Manjari Can't remember the other one but they were all to die for!! Soooo good!!!!! We will definitely return! My aunt and I found this place while we were walking around. The pasta we had was delicious, just needed some salt; the short rib was very tender. The theme of the restaurant is chocolate; although everything has sone chocolate in it, it never over powers the dish. I can honestly say they have the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. Compliments to the #smallbusinessowner he knows how to treat his customers! This desserts are soooooo...good it should be illegal! I'm still craving the Conche Entremet - sour cream chocolate cake; dark, milk, white chocolate whipped ganaches; salted caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla bean ice cream! The food is worth 6 stars and the price for it is worth 7...... the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because this was the WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Other then that it's a perfect 5 star restaurant, which is sad to say but I'll explain why. Me and my girlfriend went here for Valentine's Day and scheduled an afternoon lunch spot for 2pm and then a different reservation elsewhere at 6:30pm Me and my date both got the 3 course meal option with a string of drink samples. All the food and drinks were perfect in taste and in visual appearance. We got the drinks first and took time to enjoy them. Second the appetizers came out and we both enjoyed those as well. The problem arose after our appetizers, our waiter told us that our entrées were almost ready and that a different waiter/waitress will be taking over for him because he needed to leave for his "Lunch Break". We then waited 40 MINUTES before he comes back after no one brought us our entrees. We eat the entrees and then ask for our final desserts which in turn EXTENDED OUR MEAL TIME TO OVER 2 hours long which made us have to miss our 6:30pm appointment somewhere else. Even one of his co-workers came to us when he was on his "lunch break" and asked us where he went and then also questioned why he went on a "lunch break" during my lunch date on valentines that I paid close to $150 for the meal. Seriously ridiculous. After we are half way finished with our desserts and still enjoying our meal, our waiter comes back and proceeds to tell us that our table will be needed soon, and that is isn't "rushing" us but wanted to give us a 20 min deadline as if I was taking up his valuable time. Kid was lucky I was on a date or else he would have never received a tip for that service. In conclusion, this is an amazing restaurant.
