Our family really enjoys this place. Reasonable pricing and always clean (hard to find with local coneys). Great breakfasts, decent coneys, and really good pita sandwiches. I live about 2 miles away from the Coney Grille and it is my favorite place to go. Right when I walk in I notice the up-to-date design and feel. The food there is amazing and I think that the prices are unreal (99¢ coneys from Tuesdays-Thursdays is a HUGE plus). There is also a kids menu that makes the restaurant. The only thing that the Greek restaurant is missing is the Greek food like spanakopita and tiropita (if you are not Greek you may not know what that type of food is, but I have to tell you the food is worth a try). In conclusion, I think that the Coney Grille is the greatest coney restaurant I've ever gone to. read more

Went here with my family over the weekend and it was great! I don't usually order a salad, but I had the Michigan Cherry Salad.. and it was awesome! One of the most filling meals I've had! Wait staff was also great! Restaurant was clean too. Only complaint was that my family member said the bathrooms were not stocked. But besides that, I'm rarely so pleased with a Coney Island. The menu however, could use more items, I find it hard to pick out something because I always see the same things. The service is usually good here and the food great. However the last few times we've been here for breakfast they get slammed easily because the servers don't seem to know how to seat people. There was a table for six with two people sitting at it. They also don't turn tables quickly during high volume times. This could easily be corrected with better training. read more

Food was mediocre! It's definitely not a Leo's Coney Island or a national Coney Island. The management here is awful! The waitress did not even ask how our meal wise. She just set the bill on the table and we sat there waiting. Then we finally realized after 20 minutes we needed to take it up to the cashier. The waitress never even came back to let us know. Once she dropped off the bill she was done with us.The management needs to train their staff and support them so that the restaurant runs with better efficiency. It is evident that the male manager is an arrogant jerk. He just seems to boss his staff around and has a big ego. I will never go here again. The staff all look like they're walking around on eggshells waiting to get scolded by their manager. I feel sorry for the staff that work at this restaurant. Have been here a few times and each time am disappointed in the food - I have tried many different things now. I won't be going back after this. The Coney Grille is a great little restaurant. It's a hidden jewel in Macomb County. The food is always fresh and delicious--they probably have the best ranch and honey mustard sauce anywhere. The service is always terrific, too. It's a family friendly location that makes you feel welcome with children; sometimes lots of children. The food is memorable and delicious. They make thing to your order, not theirs. I can't say enough good things about this place. My family and I go there every week. read more

Is there some way to give a restaurant (-)5 stars because 1 star does not do this place justice. This place is a joke! The food here is on par with other coney island restaurants. But the service is pure garbage. We ordered carry out and the last 3 times the order was totally messed up. Incident 1.) There was a crispy chicken salad ordered. Just one problem...no crispy chicken on the salad. OK...accidents happen. We drove back to the restaurant and they gave us a new one. But no apology nor was any refund offered for our inconvenience. Incident 2.) Ordered a chicken finger dinner. Again just one problem...the container only had fries in it. No chicken fingers! We called the restaurant and explained this was the 2nd problem we've had with ordering carry out. This time there was an apology and we were issued a credit to use that was under our name in the "managers book" the next time we came to the restaurant. But guess what...when we returned there was nothing in the managers book so we never received a credit. Incident 3.) Final incident - Ordered a chicken kabob dinner with fries instead of rice and gyro sauce instead of red sauce. Anyone want to take a guess as to what happened? To our surprise the chicken was actually there...buried in rice and drowning in red sauce. I specifically reviewed the order with the cashier when I picked the order up. I was assured everything was correct. When we called the restaurant they said that we had to come back for a refund and that they could not do a refund over the phone. I'm not sure why since the cashier never asked for our debit card. We asked to have our entire dinner refunded and the cashier said no. We asked to speak to the manager and we explained that this was the 3rd incident and we want to be credited for the entire dinner for having to drive back out at night and the manager said no because it's against their policy and the other meals were correct. When we asked the manager what she could do for us for the inconvenience she said I'll give you your money back for the dinner that was wrong. Well thanks! Way to go above and beyond! She was also shocked when we also demanded that we get our tip back. Sorry Coney Grille...there are way too many other options in our area in which we do not have to put up with such arrogant and poor customer service. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TYPICAL CONEY FOOD WITH A TOUCH OF CRAPPY SERVICE! read more

I was treated poorly here by the waitstaff and they messed up my take out! When I called (after I drove 5 miles home) to let them know they forgot parts of my wife's AND my meals, I was left on hold and pretty much forgotton about! They also have something against offering sausage patties because this is the only resteraunt I've been too that doesn't offer that on the breakfast menu (a waitress even told us that she thought it was stupid and a lot of people complain about it). The food is subpar at best! It only does business because of the lack of other options and there is a better place down the road but they are always packed (because they are polite and serve good food). I went there for dinner last night and could not leave quick enough. I arrived at 8:30p and saw on the door that they will were closing at 9. I knew we would be quick so we continued in and received a friendly hello. From that moment on it was downhill. Our waitress asked what we wanted to drink brought the drinks, took our order brought the food and dropped the bill off. She did not ask how the food was if we wanted desert and to top it off forgot our lentil soup. I got up and had to ask for the soup to go and she brought out a Togo container of vegetable soup which was clearly not what was ordered. Meanwhile an older woman who I am presuming to be a manager or owner was rushing around the restaurant putting the chairs on the tables to close. There were 3 other families there besides us and I cannot tell you how uncomfortable all of this mixed together made us feel. We felt like unwanted, unappreciated customers. They all need lessons in how to properly serve thier customers. The food did not make up for the poor atmosphere as the spinach pie was soggy and left my spouse with and angry upset stomach all night. Never again will I go there and I will never recommend this place. read more

I and family have been going to Coney Grille since it opened and food is very very good. I was there the day of your incident and the old crabby lady that went & spoke to you and your friend was not the owner. She was another customer complaining about your unruly children - just to set the record straight. Don't slam an owner who was not even there. I have been there many times where kids became very very loud and no one ever said a word. That day some children were out of control and this customer had had enough of your children. If you think it is so funny maybe you need to stay out of good reputable restaurants and start going to dives where no one cares. It appears some parents cannot control their own children but will definitely open their big mouths and spread untruths. read more

Disgusting!! worst coney island ever!! Never been treated unwelcomed in my life by a coney island,not only the wait staff but the owner. the sign says "Family freindly' that is not true. met with a friend to get a quick bite with our small children, they treated my children and my friend"s children unkindly, never gave them crayons, most "family friendly" places do provide crayons for small kids to keep them occupied. Not only was the service poor but the food was nasty and cold. the fries were freezer burned. small portions and way overpriced. do not recommend for any family just old crabby people go there to eat place was empty at lunch time should have taken that as a sign should have went to "Shields" next door. the owner has a poor attutude obviously doesnt like kids and is an elderly crabby lady who doesnt want to be there. or make new customers very surprised they are still open. never going there again. read more
