Went here with my best friend on a Sunday cooking class at noon. The meal of the class was a four cheese ravioli. We sat down at our own little work station, where we had two burners and all of the materials were ready to go. We were greeted with a glass of delicious Sauvignon blanc, which was one of four wines we were tasting. We also had a Sangiovese, Amarone, and Zinfandel. Chef Catherine was amazing! At first she did a demo of the whole process, which you could also see with an angled mirror even from the back of the room. We also had the recipe to follow along, so then we started working individually. With pasta making, it's easier to have a partner help out, however it's still doable to do alone if you don't have a buddy! She also walked around the room to check on everyone's progress. We never felt lost. Ultimately the food was delicious! I wish the class was longer but I understand they host many classes during the day. I will be coming back very soon!!!

Honestly one of the greatest cooking classes I've ever been to. Welcome for ages 21+. Great for a family, team bonding or even taking a significant other there. The instructor was very hands on, showed you everything for the first 30 minutes then afterwards you get to test your skills at the recipe. If you are stuck or make mistakes you are always able to call on the instructor for help, ours was chef Katrine, who was excellent. She showed us step by step how to make the dough correctly, she even came over to check on everyone periodically which was great and contributed to the lesson. The only thing I want to comment on is the class could have been a tad longer. By the time we finally finished creating the raviolis our two hours were up and they started to clean before we even boiled the pasta. Fortunately , were able to stay a few minutes after to eat. It was a great experience and highly recommend it to anyone. Would definitely come back again for another class. Be sure to book early because slots fill up quickly.

I will say that the pace was a bit quicker than my last class, as there was much more to get done, but we kept up, giggles and all. The environment was comfortable, and the staff's attention to detail created a relaxing and enjoyable evening. We didn't have to overthink anything; we could just go with the flow. Everything was prepared for us from start to finish. After cooking, we sat, ate, and were pleasantly surprised to find that, after guessing the right amount of seasoning for our produce and meat, we ended up seasoning everything perfectly to our taste. We look forward to taking more classes and inviting a few more friends to join us.

The shop itself is amazing with so many cooking and kitchen items that you can purchase. I've taken several classes here and as an amateur cook and baker each class was interesting and a learning experience . My first class was making Cavatelli pasta , something I have never made before , what a great class and it came out so yummy ! When you arrive you go into the dining area and before you begin cooking there are complimentary appetizers and wine served! It was so nice ! For my next class I wanted to take something easy and fun so I did the mozzarella and pizza class. That particular class had about 40 people attending .All the chefs were great and kept everyone engage! Recently I attended the class .. Scarpinocc pasta with brown butter and sage sauce and lemon Panacotta but after arriving we learned the initial menu slightly changed . Instead we made ravioli with impastata cheese and fresh chopped tomatoes and basil , also Vanilla honey Panacotta. It all turned out wonderful. When first arriving we had complimentary mimosas and appetizers of riceballs and chicken. This being my first time making ravioli I was very excited ! It was an amazing time and everything we made came out delicious! Along with our meal we were also served a delicious ,freshly made salad with feta cheese ! I'm now looking on their calendar to see what else peaks my interest. Will definitely be taking another class soon ! Thank you to all the wonderful and talented chefs ! Everyone was so friendly , patient and knowledgeable !

When I think of hibachi, I think of Benihana, which I feel is not really authentic Japanese but Americanized food. Kind of like Panda Express for Chinese food. But I trust this friend so we went with them. My wife and my wedding anniversary was coming up so we told them and they prepared a special setting with rose petals and also a special dessert. So nice!! Omakase means to leave it up to the chef on what to eat and the chef's selections were amazing! Lobster, sweet shrimp, Uni, A5 wagyu, fatty tuna and other delicious selections. We also had a sake they recommended, which went so well with the food. The complimentary dessert was probably my favorite. All in all, a great meal. We just had omakase at Inatome recently and if i had to pick the best, I would probably say Inatome but it is very close. Sasa is much easier to get to so if you don't want to drive to Valley Stream, go to Sasa. TIP: make sure you make reservations in advance because they have to procure the seafood for the omakase.

I like how spacious the Farmingdale location is, even on a weekend. I struggled on the self-checkout line and the staff member was super helpful and even told me the code for my bundle of herbs after they had stepped pretty far away. Super attentive! If you get the app, you get a free ice cream cone for every $100 spent. Easy to reach that if you're buying any meat or seafood here. And a bonus surprise--I found the butter-dipped soft serve available here, so I got to try that.

I enjoyed walking around and taking in the animatronics--they always make the trip feel more like an experience than a regular grocery run. In the fruit department, an employee was cutting up a pink pineapple. We were curious, and she happily offered us a sample, which felt like great customer service in action. I picked up a few sale items, but overall found most things to be a bit overpriced. For me, Stew Leonard's is more of a fun outing than a place to do all my regular grocery shopping. It's perfect for seasonal finds and unique items.
