I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Cefalu. We've eaten here previously for a baby shower and for pizza only but never had a sit-down dinner. We came on a Friday night and was seated immediately. Staff were very friendly and informed us of the specials, with the fish being one of them. The fish was dry at times but overall good. What a great little spot. It feels very small in the best way. It gives off hidden gem feels and I love that. The drinks were really good, but the food was great! The bread and little plate of antipasto was a nice way to start. We ordered the short rib ragu with homemade cavatelli and cace e Pepe. I loved the cavatelli. I'm craving it just thinking about it. It was full of flavor and the short rib was so tender. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The Cace e Pepe had too much pepper for my liking, but my husband and two year old loved it. Really fantastic spot and glad we came here! Tucked just outside of Huntington's Main Street, Cefalu serves quality Italian food with a nice (and affordable) wine list - just need to ask for it. The list of cocktails seems pretty classic and you can't go wrong with any of the selections The restaurant was pretty busy during prime dinner on Saturday but I think you can still walk in. The smell of the pizza by the slice right when you walk in is intoxicating and you know you're in for a treat. We got: Cacio e Pepe bites - pretty good with a nice sauce. I could recommend but not a must-have Fungo pizza - really amazing and balanced with the truffle oil Margarita pizza - solid pizza, the sauce is on the slightly sweeter side. Both pizzas had a nicely made dough on them Vodka sauce pasta w/ burrata - so good and would recommend. A very good vodka sauce Clam pasta - also very good with decent number of clams Tiramisu - not that sweet and perfect with the whipped cream. Great drinks and very attentive staff.. mostly. We ardered an app, then 5 minutes later ordered a beet salad and the Lamb Ragu. Explained we were were trying to meet a deadline to see a show. - half hour before we had to leave. All was delicious, except the Lamb pasta came out 10 min before the salad. Had to box the salad and run to get to the show on time. I'd definitely go back, just think the salad coming out late was very odd. read more

We hosted my daughters first communion party at Cefalu-I cannot thank Joe, Morgan and their team enough. We were going to be tight on time as another party was leaving prior to our arrival but they were able to accommodate our guests quickly, the tables were turned over, drinks were served, food came out piping hot. All of our guests raved about the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the wait staff. We would HIGHLY recommend hosting a private event at Cefalu. read more

Great dinner.... Food was excellent...service excellent. All pasta dishes were good.... Salads great and apps great. Drink prices very reasonable on the one hand. Not sure the wines are of the quality for the price. Only suggestions .... Go later in evening to avoid family scene. It's small and loud to begin with ... not bad. We were surrounded by tables with kids who were loud and well, being kids. We get it but will arrive for later seating next time. Also ....the tab had a calculated/suggested tip section ( you choose what level to tip). Careful: it's based on the total WITH tax. I don't know who tips on the tax, but I certainly am not tipping the government... Figure your own tip based on the total bill for food and quality of service...... which were great! read more

Very disappointed that happy hour has been discontinued! Please bring it back! Also when eating there the other night I saw suggested tip included the tax. That is not good! We visited Cefalu as a recommendation for a family get together. I have only been once prior to Cefalu for a slice of pizza while I was on the run. Cefalu is located on top of a hill as you approach from west to east. They have indoor and outdoor dining with an airy appeal even if you are dining indoors. From what I read, Cefalu menu is inspired by the beloved culinary traditions of Sicily. Sicily is a place I have been twice, and I love dining in the Sicilian cuisine. Sicilian cuisine is known for using locally sourced ingredients, such as fresh seafood, vegetables, and citrus fruits. I once dined in Trapani and had their pasta with sword fish. It was to die for. The service was excellent, and our family get together could not have been any more perfect. We ordered appetizers to share with the group which were good. I was staying away from pasta at the time, so I ordered the sword fish as an entrée. That was disappointing, and a poor choice by me. The sword fish was not up to par. My photo of the dish is on Yelp. However, I am not intending to judge a restaurant by one dish I was not impressed with. I took my husband here Friday night for his birthday. I heard good things about this restaurant from neighborhood groups on social media. However, our experience fell a little short. Our waiter seemed agitated with us as soon as we put our order in. I ordered a drink, the alcoholic lemonade (it was ok) and my daughter and husband just got water. We didn't get appetizers, but all three of us ordered the pasta and meatballs, my daughter getting the kids version. I will say the bread and oil dip with Parmesan, olives and red peppers that comes with the order was so delicious we asked for more (though our waiter seemed annoyed by that too). My daughter refused the meatball and my husband and I weren't too impressed. My husband makes homemade meatballs much better and we were expecting meatballs like the one Del Vino makes (those are so good). Maybe we ordered wrong but a good Italian restaurant should have amazing meatballs no? Perhaps they have better pizza dishes, who knows? Suffice it to say, we won't be returning. Stopped by the give them a chance cause we did love the old location - but they rebranded and I saw some good things via Google, Yelp... well we LOVED the food! The baked clams are a MUST. Our 12 little necks, were absolutely superb. Didn't have to add lemon the flavor was ON POINT! Then for our mains we had the Spicy Rigatoni vodka with Burrata which was really delicious and not too heavy surprisingly. I had a Caesar salad with blackened chicken probably one of the best EVER. Dressing, cheese, and those croutons all tasted perfect together, and it had kale so I felt like I was eating healthy . Service was very kind and helpful- and even though they didn't have printed lunch menus at the time we dined we still ordered from the lunch menu (from their website) and got the lunch prices. What I would like them to work on. The interior is still in need of sprucing up. I enjoyed the abstract art inside, but the walls do need a fresh coat of paint maybe something bold, but the concept inside needs an identity. At least the place is casual and not over priced and not pretentious like the places in the Huntington village. Front Patio is lovely and is well decorated. Tonight - October 21, 2025 - my husband and I had dinner at this restaurant, and we had an amazing experience. The food was TERRIFIC and the wait staff - especially Chris who served us - was attentive and spot-on with service. I had a pasta dish with a ragu sauce - OMG it was sooo good, lots of yummy sauce and my husband another pasta dish - a creamy one with pepper. What a sweet little spot. When I step into restaurants I most look forward to eating as an experience. That means staff, food and ambiance as a whole. This place gave us 20/20 for all three. Our service staff Ellysa and Evan were so attentive and so kind. Ellysa's recommendations were absolutely delicious and Evan's kind personality and stories left us with a smile. We started with baked clams and cacio e Pepe bites. The clams were perfectly cooked. The breading in the oreganata was soooo good I could put whatever went onto that on anything ! The bites were also a nice variation of the typical Mac and cheese or rice ball bite. Could probably skip that basil aoili paired with the bite but overall so delicious. I had the pesto pasta with spicy sausage crumbles. Wow what a flavorful perfectly spicy dish. The crunchy crumbles added a nice little change of texture for the noodles and honestly something I would order again 3xs over. The eggplant lasagna was also delicious, perfectly layered and freshly made. I didn't love the martini but not because it wasn't a good drink. I just prefer something a little less sweet. I also had a scicillian lemonade. That was really good. Lots of families here eating. A perfect date night spot. I bet in the warmer weather this place just had a beautiful vibe. Food was excellent. I put them to the test by ordering a pasta carbonara. Which I've had dozens of times in restaurants from Italy to NY to Las Vegas. Their rendition was as good as I can remember. Service was very "on point" capable and friendly. It seemed that either owners or chef were greeting people in the way in, and out. The food here is incredible. Cefalù is hands down some of the best Italian food that I've had in New York in a long time. We ordered everything to share, and to start we had the Cacio e Pepe bites, the crispy delicata squash rings, crispy calamari, kale Caesar salad. The Cacio e Pepe bites are a delicious twist of fried Mac and Cheese meets a classic Italian rice ball. The squash rings were fried to perfection served with a Calabrian chili aioli that wasn't too spicy but had the perfect amount of flavor. For our main course we ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka, Cacio e Pepe, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Short Rib Cavatelli, Brussel Sprouts, and the Stinger Pizza. All I can say is WOW. The Spicy Rig was chefs kiss and served with a generous portion of fresh burrata on top. The Cacio e Pepe had the right amount of cream with the perfect blend of black pepper and pecorino Romano cheese. The short rib in the Cavatelli was braised to perfection and the meat was tender. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was so creamy and had chunks of real lobster tail (for $19 you really can't beat the quality of ingredients and portion size on this!). The Stinger pizza is a great combo of sweet and savory. It has spicy soppressata, fresh mozzarella, and a drizzle of hot honey. The Brussel Sprouts were crispy and charred and had this wonderful orange citrus honey drizzled over them. Even though we were stuffed, we had to have dessert. We ordered cheese cake (absolutely amazing and came with cannolis) and the brownie with ice cream. Needless to say, we left stuffed but we left beyond happy and satisfied with this amazing meal. Not only was the food incredible, but the staff treated us like family. The owners Joe and Riccardo were so friendly and all of the waiters and bar staff were attentive and kind. They gave us super cute stickers that said "Best Za in Town" and I'd have to agree with that statement! We sat on the bar side of the restaurant, which was more casual, but there is a private dining side that is perfect for family parties and more formal gatherings. The restaurant was very clean and so was their restroom. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing my whole family. Major kudos to this place! read more

Came here for NYE dinner and my whole table of 10 was very pleased with the meal and service. The apps were all great! The cacio e pepe bites, fried mozzarella, fried calamari, and baked clams were all amazing. The spicy rigatoni alla vodka with burrata was excellent and so was the grilled shrimp on top of orzo nero. For dessert we all had the tiramisu and it did not disappoint. Strong coffee flavor and not too sweet. I didn't get to try the pizza yet but I bet it's good and I'll be back soon. This was some of the best Italian I've had in Huntington and it's a very unassuming place. Also, the price of this superb meal was very affordable. They also make a mean old fashioned. Bad service. Waiter seemed overwhelmed with 3 tables each had 3 people. Asked for items several times like water with lemon (never got the lemon) and bread (no butter given). The menu choices are limited especially at lunch. Ordered the 1/2 salad and 1/2 pasta combo for $18. The bolognese came and looked like orange alla vodka sauce. I did not want a cream sauce. The waiter said I could have marinara. I thanked him. He then came back and said cook was already making bolognese without the cream. Uhh. I did not like it. Plain sauce would have been better. The Mediterranean salad was good but the dressing had no flavor. Had to ask for oregano, salt, pepper and more red wine vinegar. I just think not good quality vinegar as someone with me asked for balsamic and I tasted that too. It was horrible. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. read more

We went to cefalu for a late lunch - it was 2 pm and we were met with a very welcoming attitude ! Joe was our server and very helpful and kind ! We ordered baked clams which are on dinner menu but no problem ordering , they were tasty ,hot, tender and freshly made ! No stuffed junk here ! The grouper lunch portion was formidable and tender as well and seasoned to perfection - my only problem was it was supposed to come with broccolini, but it was regular broccoli lol . ( not a big deal but still) the chicken parm lunch was again hot , tasty , saucy , and tender hit all the chicken parm notes you would look for , and it was a nice sized portion which will def be enjoyed for lunch the next day . I didn't want penne so I asked for side of cacio y Pepe instead , was delicious and a nice side to uplift the chicken parm ! We didn't drink but next time I'm looking at that limoncello drink ! Restrooms meat and well kept - it's a little dark in dining areas but overall very comfortable . They have their own parking lot so not like crazy parking in Huntington . Dined on 5/10/24 but it was 10/10 in 24' lol. friendly service, great wine list (shout out to the Italian selections, duh!) Dining room is intimate but not over-crowded, huge plus on that. My group of 4 split some pastas and pizza. Rico's signature pie was excellent, the crumb on that pie was immaculate. They must be really care about the dough.
