We went to The Coop for the first time the other day and ended up sitting for 45 minutes waiting to have our order taken. We asked a waitress 3 different times to be served, and even asked if we should go up to the bar to place our order. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. Never going here again - the worst service I've encountered in Oxford. read more

Staying at the hotel here on a weeknight, so I am sure the experience on the weekend, and especially a game weekend would be a lot different. Inside of the bar has a cool layout and vibe. The outside part is a lot of concrete with not a lot of atmosphere. But it will give you a good view of downtown. If you are staying here definitely go up there and have a drink, but if you're staying someplace else don't make a special trip over here just to go. read more

Went for a cocktail before an event, and was happy with everything about it! Didn't feel out of place in formalwear, but not everyone was dressed up nor was the place stuffy/snobby. I had an extremely unsatisfying experience while at The Coop. It took over 20 minutes to track down a waitress. Our group received attitude from the waitress, not to mention she did not help with our drinks. It took over 30 minutes to get our food while the resturant was less than half full. Way overpriced for the product you get. They falsely advertise in the local voice about drink specials and charge different amounts on something as simple as beer from customer to customer. We had such great service here tonight! Ran into a liveyl game crowd that was still well-mannered group for such a night. Good atmosphere throughout the venue and wonderful views. Our waitress, Nicole, was so caring and attentive! The libations average $10 -- the specials are awesome. "F-Rosé" slushie?? Fulfills both of your inner basic girl desires: rosé and frozen margarita. The "Blue Babe" blueberry Moscow Mule is also a treat. But the food was the undisputed champion. The BBQ fries were portioned out generously and tasted so good. Great view, good drinks and food, but beware, if you are not staying at The Graduate, don't bother going up to The Coop with anyone under 21, they won't let you in. Stopped to have a drink before dinner along with a friend and our Ole Miss student kids. Security stopped us at the door, asking for ID or key. No go since were not guests at The Graduate. Definitely a fun spot to go to if you're in Oxford. I was staying at The Graduate for a friends wedding, and so me and my friend decided to try the chic rooftop bar, The Coop, just a floor above us. Interesting cocktails, and a menu that had yummy snacks if you ever get hungry. It does get quite packed on the weekends because it's one of the nicer spots in down, but worth the trip. One thing- the mojito I ordered was basically sprite and rum, no mint was muddled either so that was kid of a let down but the Bellini I ordered afterwards was quite good. read more

So this is a mixed review but still gets 5 stars. The portion sizes are small, but what the plates lack in portion size they more than make up for in flavor. The Froze is worth the 10 hour drive, and is usually the highlight of our visit to Ole Miss Campus! However, this time the bar area was so "sour" smelling and fruit flies were everywhere. There were many things that we really liked about The Coop. The staff was friendly and the decor was cute especially the use of chicken wire. We didn't understand the melted candelabra on the bar top though. The fish tacos were delicious. We will definitely return. read more

First off, terrible name for what's supposed to be a "classier" Oxford bar. Drinks are horrifically overpriced and while the balcony is nice, most of the view is of the gas station across the street. Beer taps are minimal and variety is limited. read more

Went to The Coop on the recommendation of my son who is a student at Ole Miss. The atmosphere is ok, the view is good. Beer, wine, and cocktail selection is good. The food is forgettable. Cheese dip tasted like it was out of a can with green onions sprinkled on top. BBQ shrimp was recommended by the server, but was more syrupy than BBQ. The fries were average. My husband ordered the catfish tacos. They were room temperature and the catfish was mushy, tasteless, unseasoned, and could have been any white fish. In 32 years of marriage I have never known my husband to leave food on his plate, and he did. read more
