If you're on the hunt and you're looking for something gluten-free and completely gluten-free, this is the place to go. Only Bummer is they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays which are usually our go to days for gluten-free but we made an exception and moved it to Friday morning I can't name drop other businesses around this general area that are glutten free, vegan, and soy free. I think this one takes the award home. I know the one that falls next in line, but we've gravitated to this one because the prices are better, and the food is much better.

First time at The Coop and I was amazed by all the options that accommodate gluten and other allergies! I tried the cinnamon roll which was massive with a nice soft texture. Most GF cinnamon rolls are quite dense so I was very pleased with the fluffy texture of this one. I think it was made with a sourdough and it was a bit too "sour" for my taste but you can tell the quality is excellent. Can't wait to come back and try more items!

As soon as we entered, I was captivated by the heavenly and comforting aromas of their baked goods. My eyes widened, desiring to taste everything (nothing new for me). However, my concern was what would my gluten-sensitive son be able to enjoy? That's when I realized it's a gluten-free (as well as free of corn and soy) restaurant! Our order consisted of the following: - PESTO CAPRESE PANINI, $16.95, with option for side salad +$3 (soft-&-fluffy focaccia bread; nice flavors. ); - ABC TURKEY CLUB (option for half, $12.95, or full sandwich, $18.95); while I wasn't given the opportunity to even taste this, I'd heard it was full of delicious flavors (including by hubby, who is usually skeptical of gluten-free products); - OATMEAL RAISIN "BIG" COOKIE, $5.45 (indeed big, and chewy and tasty); LEMON BLUEBERRY MUFFIN, $4.95 (generous in size, moist & flavorful) Based on the big-&-plump appearance and taste of these menu items, I wouldn't have thought that these are gluten-free. Hubby's first choice was a cinnamon roll, had they not been out. Prior to leaving, a tray of big-&-beautiful, unfrosted cinnamon rolls was displayed; I spoke to a customer who'd purchased one. She stated that one wouldn't be able to tell that they are gluten-free, and that she drove 2 hours to have one! I appreciate that they offer a few inside seating options; my only suggestion would be larger-&-sturdier napkins and plastic utensils. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Eager to return to experience one of their cinnamon rolls -- and more!

Pretty bad. I walked in with ice cream from Solana Frosty and some employee said "UM ARE THOSE GLUTEN FREE? WE ARE GLUTEN FREE WE DO NOT ALLOW GLUTEN IN HERE" I said sure, and ordered. The chicken salad on rye was terrible. It was like costco roasted chicken, not maynoaise, cranberries, and celery. I ate 1/4 of my jr size and craved mcdonalds. Register lady was nice, selection seemed nice, but probably had a rough experience.

first time going here and i am pleasantly surprised. i got the smash avocado toast but switched the bread to the rustic bread and it was soooo good. like the sauce at the bottom omg a party in my mouth i was so surprised how good it was (as someone who's not a gluent free girly) and the bread was very soft which i loved. & super nice that they gave 2 slices. service was good everyone seemed chill. worker kinda gave me some tude when i asked abt switching the bread but like all good. overall awesome vibe def recommend!!!!

Coop is a neat little new spot located right in the plaza in Solana beach. They specialize in gluten free etc bread and have a pretty substantial menu. Overall my experience was pretty average, the sandwich was totally uncooked and had almost no flavor. I'll give it another shot, but overall a bit more average overall.

Gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. The picture is deceiving; it's huge.

This was my first time at The Coop and it is gluten-free heaven! They have sandwiches are very generous and the ingredients our quality. Everything was delicious. Staff takes allergies and intolerances seriously here and are very accommodating. The inside is super cozy with plenty of seating and there's ample parking as well. I took four of a variety of gluten-free muffins and a loaf of sourdough home to enjoy later. I'll definitely be back and bring hubby too! This is definitely a little gem in Solana Beach.

Coop in Solana Beach is an absolute gem. It's just a short walk from the train station and close to the freeway, but it feels like a little neighborhood secret. The pastries and food dishes are fantastic - fresh, creative, and super satisfying. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get. The entire restaurant is completely gluten-free, but you honestly wouldn't know it from the taste. If you don't normally eat gluten-free, you'll probably like the food even more because it's so well done - you just feel good after eating there. On top of that, the staff is very, very friendly and welcoming. They really seem to care about the customers and the experience. Overall, Coop is well worth a visit (or many). I'm already looking forward to going back.

Heck yes. Just the place I've been looking for! The food is delicious-I had the breakfast eggie and a cinnamon roll and they were both fantastic. Could not tell they were gluten free! That was seriously one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. The inside of the restaurant is really cute. Ample seating both indoors and outdoors and family friendly-I spotted a coloring corner and high chairs available as we walked in, which is such a wonderful option for celiac kiddos who are usually so limited in places to eat. All the baked goods looked so amazing that I would have tried everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Conveniently located across the street from Solana Beach's design district which is a nice place to walk and window shop after eating. Will most definitely be back!

This new bakery, which recently opened in Solana Beach, caters mainly to gluten-free customers. Open for both breakfast and lunch, the store offers a limited variety of sandwiches and soups in addition to a few pastries like muffins and cookies. I went to check them out for breakfast but found only a couple of things on the menu to select from: a quiche, an egg sandwich, and avocado toast. I noticed the menu listed a LOT of add-ons for an additional cost. For example, a plain avocado toast is $10 without any toppings. My tiny coffee (8 or maybe 10 oz) was $5, and there is an extra charge to add milk or cream (yes, shocking). Lunch sandwiches prices ranged from $17-$20. The prices are very high, and I was the only customer in the store. Perhaps their bread and butter comes not from retail/cafe but providing restaurants with gluten free products. Customer service was friendly, nice place, lots of seating inside. I'm all for supporting local businesses but I'm unlikely to return to this one. I appreciate clear and concise menus without hidden or added fees and high cost for counter-service cafe.

I guess everything in Sky Deck is a little more expensive than what you'd expect-- maybe because of the cost they have to pay to rent the space. The workers were kind to give me space and time to check over the menu. Like I mentioned last time, the font is a bit small. It would be nice to have printed & laminated menus at the counter space as well for people. I think next time I come I would love to order a crêpe-- the sucre au citron caught my eye because it's a classic! I was surprised to see that they didn't offer salted caramel crêpe though. But today I needed a little extra je ne sais quoi because my morning was annoying, so I decided to splurge on lunch and not just a pastry here. I asked Steve, the (très beau et gentille!) co-owner what the quiche of the day was. There were two: one with jambon (ham) and one with épinards et fromage de chèvre (spinach and goat cheese). When I hesitated, he told me that the spinach one was amazing. Even though it's $20 for a quiche plate, I decided to go for it. I thought I was going to get a sad little quiche slice for that amount and might regret it. But OMG, it was more than worth it! Already they have a lovely patio on this pretty street in this fancy design district. But it was also a HUGE and exceptionally savory rectangular slice, alongside a DELECTEABLE petite salade. I asked Steve what mustard they use in the vinaigrette, and he said plain old Dijon - but the proportions and the seasoning were EXCELLENT. So it was salad perfection, not heavily dressed at all, just delightful. The patio was full on a Friday with ladies who lunch - but did that include me, as a solo diner, since I am a lady who had lunch? I'm not sure, but you can feel comfortable here no matter what. And now I know Madeleine Cafe is much too good to just come for coffee and for ordering in French from Steve or his co-owner Emmanuel.
