When you had enough of the Big City Bright Lights In Dallas unwind in this 1905 Home with charm and elegance. Symphony of Cicadas sing you to sleep in late summer afternoon. Charming breakfast served by Laurel with plenty of local knowledge on best of the best to do. Parking is very good, great location.... Highly Recommended

100% well done! This place was amazing. We stayed a night in celebration of my wife's birthday and was in awe the entire time. Dan (inn keeper) was a joy to be with. He even went out and got 30 roses (2 different colors) for me to have ready in the room. He is focused on making his guest feel comfortable. Rooms were very spacious and unique. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was to die for. No way like anything you'll get out. Homemade jams and jellies, wonderful peach French toast, hash browns, sausage, hot biscuits.... All served in a quaint little setting. We will be back to this place! I wish I could give this place 6 stars!

I loved this Bed and Breakfast. Laurel is a wonderful host and the room was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious. I stayed in the back guest house. I met Dan upon arriving. I had called Laurel the night before to arrange a time to meet because I knew my timing was going to be a little off. She was very accommodation. Dan was there to meet me at the door and give me a tour of the main house. Laurel was there as well. I was shown to my room and although I was very early I was allowed to leave my bags and get the room key. The next morning I went to the main house for breakfast in the dining room. It was outstanding. There were 6 of us and everything was served hot and quickly. My favorite were the made from scratch biscuits with homemade lemon curd! Each morning breakfast was a delight! I stayed here 3 nights. My room was always clean and comfortable. I high recommend this b&b for those looking for a place other than your typical chain hotel.

Such a wonderful place. The beauty of the home and the memories of little details made me think of my grandmother. Ivory lace gloves in one room, black and white tile and tub in another and piano in which I was tempted to play. They made our wedding anniversary a wonderful day. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Came here for business trip. Stayed for 14 days…read more Coworkers recommended this location as it sits in Downtown Dallas. The hotel is nice, however outside the hotel it's not nice. There's lots of homeless people outside and not safe in my opinion. Just beware when booking. There wasn't many highly rated restaurants near Omni hotel, had to drive to places. They also host lots of events outside the hotel on their lawn. Hotel is nice. Staffs are super polite and trained. Everything is clean and super decorative. Hotel has restaurants on the first floor, they have small pool, small gym, and spa which you have to pay for. I stayed for two weeks and needed my clothes washed. The hotel does have a service where they send it out to get it washed. But it was insanely expensive. To wash a shirt was around $10. It would have cost me like $150-$200 for a week worth of clothes. I drove 20 min to the nearest coin laundry and spent couple dollars. Would love to see coin laundry in the hotel. Gym: The gym has dumbbells that only go up to 75lb. No barbells. The machine to do back, arms, etc were uncomfortable to use. Pool: Pool is on the same floor as the gym. Can see downtown Dallas. I think it's infinity pool(?) but it's pointing to the hotel building rather than facing downtown Dallas. Room: Room was super nice. The A/C is amazing, works very well. As soon as I got back to room, I set room to 62F. Then to 68F when i got cold. I stayed for 14 days and found out on my last day that there's a fridge hidden in the cabinet. I was super upset about that. The soaps, shampoo, etc are nice. The staff gives you new set even if you are using them and not empty. Price: My rate was $170 through business portal. So probably cheaper. For 14 days (13 nights), I paid little over $3000 due to various taxes and parking your rental car is like $30(?) a day. Really nice hotel, fast elevators, has gym/spa, near freeway and in Downtown Dallas. I just didn't like the environment as soon as you leave the hotel, feels unsafe.

There is generally seating outside close to Big Tex and the large Fletcher's be it real seats or on the wall. I have eaten more than a few dozen corn dogs on those walls over 50 plus years and surprised the soil and concrete is not yellow from all of the mustard I've spilled. The Insides don't remind you of the rest of the Fair, except being old.. The interior contains the original fire place and hand carved beams from the 1936 Centennial opening and they are wood pinned in place. The Mill is no longer grinding flour but it does still turn. This place does need a make over. The food reminds me of an old Texas cafe off a beaten path except those are generally pretty tasty as the locals would not allow them to stay in business. This place does not have that incentive and it shows and tastes that way. I really wish they could find someone to turn this spot into a destination with some fine Dallas cuisine. I think it would be cool if a Dean Fearing type person would adopt it. Thus a star for being a neat building, another star for the outdoor seating areas and the final star for being reasonably priced food in AIR CONDITIONING plus they accept cash (not coupons). Seriously, if you are having a long hot day at the fair and tired of the fair food, stop in here for a while.

Place stinks and run down. Super cheap if you can handle staying in a dump then it's worth itread more

It seems the locals like to cruise the streets with their loud mufflers starting around 9pm EVERY night continuing into the wee hours of the a.m. We were able to using a white noise app on our phones and slept well. We spent the rainy Saturday in the comfortable bed reading and watching tv. We were going to park behind the hotel in a paid parking lot but decided to pay for Valet Parking once we arrived because of weather forecasts. The entire hotel staff were the friendliest we have encountered, including the Valet Parking Staff who also assisted us to our room. The price for Valet Parking was listed as $50 per day but we were actually charged $60 plus taxes. Our car was well guarded as we found out when my husband needed to get something out of our car during our stay! The room was clean and very spacious with a small kitchen. I was disappointed there wasn't a bathtub but the shower was very nice with more than enough hot water. You can only access the elevator using your room key which is a great safety feature. They offer free snacks in the lobby including fruit, soft drinks, chips, cereal and other items. There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel! The free hot breakfast was very good. A large park was just a 5 min walk from the hotel where we walked out pets. It had a playground for kids, a dog park where pets could run off leash (we didn't use) and plenty of green area to walk your pet(s). We chose this hotel not only because it was pet friendly but it was within walking distance of The Book Depository Museum and Dealey Plaza, and The Dallas World Aquarium. We enjoyed walking the streets at night exploring and looking for restaurants and places for snacks, which were plentiful. The first night we came upon Uno Mas Tex Mex just two blocks over on Main St and it was delicious. When we left we realized we were next to the Giant Eyeball. It wasn't something on my bucket list but it was beautifully lit up in the night surrounded by blooming flowers. There was a 7-eleven, CVS and a McDonalds nearby as well as plenty of other choices for all types of food - Seafood, Steaks, Italian, Asian, sweets, Bakeries, and Coffee. We highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Dallas for its dog friendly clean rooms, security, attentive staff and location.

We called to see if they had a crib since we had our young daughter and they assured us they did. On arrival they said they didn't have one and they only had 3 for both hotels in the building. So we had to door dash a pack and play. Super frustrating, we would've chose a different hotel if they were up front to begin with about not having any availability for the crib. The hotel was run down. Stains on the carpets and on the chair in the room as seen in photos. Room was big but set up kinda awkward. Its time for "Story-time with Adam Cole Baby" (don't sue me TK, I'm working class and can't afford the lawyers) The TLDR: This is a serviceable hotel with great front desk and that's about it. I wouldn't feel comfortable with any single female friends/family to stay there by themselves. The very first interaction I had in Dallas, the VERY FIRST was a *ahem* "lady of the night as I was getting out of my Lyft and approaching the front doors of the hotel. She walked directly in my path, looked me in the eye, and with no warning said: "For $50 you can do whatever you want to my asshole" Do you know how hard it is to make me speechless? I muttered and stuttered my way past the woman to check in. Homeless people and working girl are a REAL problem here. In my eight days there every time I left the hotel I ran into one group or the other, some times both. I check in, go to my room, do a quick inspection and in the shower I find.....black mold!!!! An easy enough fix I think, I go downstairs report it to the front desk, go off to the market for supplies, and come back. The front desk guy tells me that he's made a concoction of sorts that gets rid of mold and he's left it in my room for me to apply it in the shower. A VERY WTF moment!! Bro I don't work here, and don't know enough about this chemistry experiment you've cooked up. I go back downstairs and they finally give me a new room. I'm not much of a complainer and I have a clean new room so let's just sleep and see what the next day bring. I wake up and decide to hit the breakfast. I grab some undercooked bacon and potatoes, as I'm grabbing juice I notice the employees were closing everything down (five minutes early but I get it) the really weird/annoying thing was that they were turning the lights off on all the people still eating. It felt like last call at a seedy dive bar. Like I said, I understand wanting to go home but turning the lights out on your guests was a complete and utter FAIL. My last notch in the complain column is that the building itself could really use some attention. When it was raining the ceiling by the front door was flooding like a TLC song. The elevators never seemed clean either. So if I'm going all Final Justice on my review why did I give it a three star and not a one? All the positives come from the front desk agents. Jasmine was the best agent I've had the pleasure to deal with in almost a decade. She was warm, welcoming, and quick as a whip. Every day that I came downstairs she had a different suggestion on where I should go and what I should eat. Honestly if I was building a management team from the ground up, I would poach Jasmine in a heartbeat. So yes on the strength of one employee a hotel gained two stars. Otherwise I can't really recommend stay here until they make some major changes
