When you had enough of the Big City Bright Lights In Dallas unwind in this 1905 Home with charm and elegance. Symphony of Cicadas sing you to sleep in late summer afternoon. Charming breakfast served by Laurel with plenty of local knowledge on best of the best to do. Parking is very good, great location.... Highly Recommended

100% well done! This place was amazing. We stayed a night in celebration of my wife's birthday and was in awe the entire time. Dan (inn keeper) was a joy to be with. He even went out and got 30 roses (2 different colors) for me to have ready in the room. He is focused on making his guest feel comfortable. Rooms were very spacious and unique. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was to die for. No way like anything you'll get out. Homemade jams and jellies, wonderful peach French toast, hash browns, sausage, hot biscuits.... All served in a quaint little setting. We will be back to this place! I wish I could give this place 6 stars!

I loved this Bed and Breakfast. Laurel is a wonderful host and the room was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious. I stayed in the back guest house. I met Dan upon arriving. I had called Laurel the night before to arrange a time to meet because I knew my timing was going to be a little off. She was very accommodation. Dan was there to meet me at the door and give me a tour of the main house. Laurel was there as well. I was shown to my room and although I was very early I was allowed to leave my bags and get the room key. The next morning I went to the main house for breakfast in the dining room. It was outstanding. There were 6 of us and everything was served hot and quickly. My favorite were the made from scratch biscuits with homemade lemon curd! Each morning breakfast was a delight! I stayed here 3 nights. My room was always clean and comfortable. I high recommend this b&b for those looking for a place other than your typical chain hotel.

Such a wonderful place. The beauty of the home and the memories of little details made me think of my grandmother. Ivory lace gloves in one room, black and white tile and tub in another and piano in which I was tempted to play. They made our wedding anniversary a wonderful day. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Laurel, the innkeeper, lives on site and was always cooking up something that made the house smell so delicious.

I usually prefer staying farther north of Dallas, in areas like Plano, McKinney, or Frisco, so this was my first time staying here. Valet parking was smooth once I found the entrance, but it was a little tricky to spot when driving in for the first time. Check-in went well, and I appreciated that the front desk staff proactively asked about my Marriott loyalty number to make sure it was connected to my reservation. My room was on the 8th floor, and while the view was not especially scenic, the room itself was comfortable, clean, and fresh. The bathroom was spacious, there were plenty of towels, and there was a robe in the closet. The lighting was on the dim side, so I had to turn on nearly every light to make the room feel bright enough. One thing I did not like was how the minibar snacks were displayed. They were left out in the open without visible pricing or clear signage indicating that they were for purchase. The set-up made them look complimentary, which felt misleading, so I would definitely recommend checking before touching anything. I was also surprised that the bathroom did not have any glass cups. There were complimentary plastic bottled waters in the room, but no regular glass or cup for brushing teeth or general use, which felt unusual for a hotel of this level. For the work event itself, the hotel was convenient. The meeting rooms were easy to navigate, especially compared with larger conference hotels where rooms can be spread out and confusing. The catering was also decent. Lunch options included salads with proteins, though vegetarian protein options like tofu were lacking. Overall, The Adolphus was a solid place for a work stay and meeting. I had a few small issues with the room setup and snack display, but the service, cleanliness, meeting spaces, and catering made it a good experience overall.

I wish I didn't have to. While lying on the bed, I saw a blood filled bug and upon inspecting, found an infestation of bed bugs that would take MONTHS to develop. I had bites all over my body, including my face. It's been almost six months since the incident and I have SCARS everywhere. It is permanent damage. What you need to know: The hotel did not apologize. They did not close the room. They did not even have a manager on duty that evening nor provide a reasonable means for compensation for the injuries. I have scars all over my body. Please don't risk your health.

We called to see if they had a crib since we had our young daughter and they assured us they did. On arrival they said they didn't have one and they only had 3 for both hotels in the building. So we had to door dash a pack and play. Super frustrating, we would've chose a different hotel if they were up front to begin with about not having any availability for the crib. The hotel was run down. Stains on the carpets and on the chair in the room as seen in photos. Room was big but set up kinda awkward. TV wasn't working either just was to the point where we went to bed instead. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was forced upon me.

Its time for "Story-time with Adam Cole Baby" (don't sue me TK, I'm working class and can't afford the lawyers) The TLDR: This is a serviceable hotel with great front desk and that's about it. I wouldn't feel comfortable with any single female friends/family to stay there by themselves. The very first interaction I had in Dallas, the VERY FIRST was a *ahem* "lady of the night as I was getting out of my Lyft and approaching the front doors of the hotel. She walked directly in my path, looked me in the eye, and with no warning said: "For $50 you can do whatever you want to my asshole" Do you know how hard it is to make me speechless? I muttered and stuttered my way past the woman to check in. Homeless people and working girl are a REAL problem here. In my eight days there every time I left the hotel I ran into one group or the other, some times both. I check in, go to my room, do a quick inspection and in the shower I find.....black mold!!!! An easy enough fix I think, I go downstairs report it to the front desk, go off to the market for supplies, and come back. The front desk guy tells me that he's made a concoction of sorts that gets rid of mold and he's left it in my room for me to apply it in the shower. A VERY WTF moment!! Bro I don't work here, and don't know enough about this chemistry experiment you've cooked up. I go back downstairs and they finally give me a new room. I'm not much of a complainer and I have a clean new room so let's just sleep and see what the next day bring. I wake up and decide to hit the breakfast. I grab some undercooked bacon and potatoes, as I'm grabbing juice I notice the employees were closing everything down (five minutes early but I get it) the really weird/annoying thing was that they were turning the lights off on all the people still eating. It felt like last call at a seedy dive bar. Like I said, I understand wanting to go home but turning the lights out on your guests was a complete and utter FAIL. My last notch in the complain column is that the building itself could really use some attention. When it was raining the ceiling by the front door was flooding like a TLC song. The elevators never seemed clean either. So if I'm going all Final Justice on my review why did I give it a three star and not a one? All the positives come from the front desk agents. Jasmine was the best agent I've had the pleasure to deal with in almost a decade. She was warm, welcoming, and quick as a whip. Every day that I came downstairs she had a different suggestion on where I should go and what I should eat. Honestly if I was building a management team from the ground up, I would poach Jasmine in a heartbeat. So yes on the strength of one employee a hotel gained two stars. Otherwise I can't really recommend stay here until they make some major changes
