We spent our wedding night here before heading out on our honeymoon. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. We stayed in the presidential suite and WOW. The bathtub alone makes the entire trip worth it. The style here will truly take you back to the 1910s. So classy! Don't even get me started on the food. The food was incredible and clearly homemade. Everything here is made from scratch. This place is so charming!! We had to show up way later than the allowed check-in and were kindly accommodated! It is so peaceful here! We were even given a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding night. The ONLY downside is that the rooms are not very soundproof. The mind wanders... But, it is an old home, so this is not at all a downfall that would hinder my return. A trip to the Corinthian is money and time well spent. read more

This place was soooo AWESOME!!! As soon as you walk in to this place, you are instantly transported to an older era. Soft music coming from hidden speakers fill your ears as you walk through the entrance. You are greeted with a staircase immediately and a hallway that leads to the kitchen. The homey-feel is at its best here and it's very comforting. It doesn't feel like a hotel. The room that we had was the Presidential Suite. It included a really big bathtub, which I was HUGE fan of. The bathroom was really really nice and classy. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning, we had breakfast and it was REALLY good!! The bread was fresh and the poundcake was delicious. The lady that made the breakfast was also really nice!! Overall, this place made the greatest impression on me and my wife. read more

Despite covid restrictions ( we felt very safe here) my mom and I had the best weekend retreat. We are actually native north Texans, but this was the perfect place for a break. The house is stunning and well maintained- immense effort was taken to restore it and make it comfortable yet classy. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff warm. 100% well done! This place was amazing. We stayed a night in celebration of my wife's birthday and was in awe the entire time. Dan (inn keeper) was a joy to be with. He even went out and got 30 roses (2 different colors) for me to have ready in the room. He is focused on making his guest feel comfortable. Rooms were very spacious and unique. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was to die for. No way like anything you'll get out. Homemade jams and jellies, wonderful peach French toast, hash browns, sausage, hot biscuits.... All served in a quaint little setting. We will be back to this place! I wish I could give this place 6 stars! read more

I loved this Bed and Breakfast. Laurel is a wonderful host and the room was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious. I stayed in the back guest house. I met Dan upon arriving. I had called Laurel the night before to arrange a time to meet because I knew my timing was going to be a little off. She was very accommodation. Dan was there to meet me at the door and give me a tour of the main house. Laurel was there as well. I was shown to my room and although I was very early I was allowed to leave my bags and get the room key. The next morning I went to the main house for breakfast in the dining room. It was outstanding. There were 6 of us and everything was served hot and quickly. My favorite were the made from scratch biscuits with homemade lemon curd! Each morning breakfast was a delight! I stayed here 3 nights. My room was always clean and comfortable. I high recommend this b&b for those looking for a place other than your typical chain hotel. read more

5 STARS is deserved here because 10 stars are not available. This 1905 B&B rooms are very nice. Antiques mixed with the modern amenities needed to keep you comfortable. Big comfortable beds with hand made quilts, claw foot bath tub/showers. I stayed in the Eleanor Roosevelt room and was very satisfied with my stay. I was able to check out the other two rooms in the main house and they were both amazing and very nicely decorated. I stayed 3 nights and I have to say the breakfast (3) were all exceptional. Peach stuffed french toast, hand made hashbrowns, biscuits, sausage, ham frittata, baked tomato, other baked goods, orange juice, coffee... Everything was very good. Such a wonderful place. The beauty of the home and the memories of little details made me think of my grandmother. Ivory lace gloves in one room, black and white tile and tub in another and piano in which I was tempted to play. They made our wedding anniversary a wonderful day. Looking for an in town get away? If so, then check out this awesome B&B! We stayed here for a couple of nights for our anniversary. The house has been restored and it's got a great history. It's incredibly quiet and relaxing. Laurel and Dan are fantastic hosts. We stayed in the First Lady's suite and it was extremely comfortable! Everything about it was great! The breakfasts are out of this world! Be prepared to gain a couple of pounds while staying here. Please don't let the neighborhood deter you from staying here. It really is safe and the location is perfect. You're close to everything. I honestly can't say enough good things about this B&B. We will definitely be back again. read more

This is indeed a lovely historical home restored to it's previous beauty. Inlaid wood floors, period furnishings, yet modern bathrooms -- lovely. However, we found our room (the presidential suite) to be a bit tired in spots (worn, unraveling comforter on bed). The new (huge) shower has no door or curtain and is chilly and drafty. Bed was comfy; super soft sheets, good pillows. We slept well. However, our trip took a turn for the worse when we returned from breakfast (downstairs in a communal dining room) to find our room had been completely cleaned while we were eating. We had planned to stay and relax a bit before getting on the road, but this left us feeling like the innkeeper wanted us to EAT and GET OUT. So we did. We noticed the other couple that dined with us, also left immediately. Breakfast was fresh, hot & tasty, but nothing special. For the price, given the area (a bit run down just outside of downtown Dallas), I cannot recommend it and will not return. read more

We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful. The innkeeper, Laurel, greeted us immediately and gave us a tour of the inn. There was chocolate wine, cookies, and other snacks left out for visitors. Our room was beautiful and immaculately clean. There was a beautiful clawfoot tub for my wife to take a soak in. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable. In the morning we were served a beautiful breakfast have fresh fruit, sausage, potatoes with peppers, And a peach stuffed French toast. Definitely the best breakfast I've had at a bed-and-breakfast. Dan, the manager/concierge was a knowledgeable and charming breakfast host. If you ever need to stay in the historic area of Dallas, want to be reasonable but beautiful place to stay, this would be your choice. read more

What a hidden jewel! The gorgeous home provided us with so much comfort and happiness it is difficult to put into words. The Presidential Suite was extremely beautiful. Actually, so wonderful that we ended up choosing it over going out most of the time! I very rarely find a bed that is better than mine, but this one was for sure. The linens and pillows were so soft and inviting. The tall windows and decor made me feel warm and homey. The bathroom is where we spent a lot of the time as there was a large Jacuzzi tub and an open-air glass shower. It was pure bliss for us. We did not need it, but there was also tons of closet space. The staff, Laurel and Dan, exceeded our expectations. Laurel, the innkeeper, lives on site and was always cooking up something that made the house smell so delicious. We enjoyed her hospitality and company very much. Although we met Dan briefly he was very interesting, kind, and nice to talk with. They both know what true southern hospitality is and are a perfect example of it. The breakfast each morning was splendid. My boyfriend has a gluten allergy and she cooked him the best gluten-free biscuits he has ever had. We definitely looked forward to this every morning. The kitchen was always open and had snacks, fresh cookies/breads, soda, water, and even chocolate wine at all times. When it was time to check out after breakfast she actually told us to take our time leaving. So we were able to enjoy another bath/shower and nap before going. Everything was perfect in our eyes, and we honestly cannot wait to return. I have traveled many places an and this has been one of my most memorable experiences. read more

Stayed at this lovely B&B for our weekend in Dallas and we were very impressed and pleased. The Innkeeper, Laurel, was very kind and welcoming making our stay very comfortable. The historic house is fully renovated to represent the times in true fashion. Rooms were clean and neat and there were fresh snacks in the kitchen to enjoy at all times. The fresh homemade cookies are fabulous- we may have eaten our fair portion of the oatmeal raisin cookies. While any traveler would appreciate this unique and luxurious place to stay, we decided to spend part of this weekend here as guests in our own city. I recommend this place for anyone who can appreciate a historical jewel. We toured the whole house and got a good look at each suite in the house. They are all spacious, special, and well-appointed. The common areas are very generous. Breakfast is delightful exceeding expectations. On our morning, we had a cup of berries and fresh-squeezed OJ, followed by quiche, with tomatoes au-gratin and miniature asparagus shoots. Coffee is smooth and perfect, and the bread is moist. The best part is that everything is served on fine sets of table-wares, the stuff that's normally locked up in cases because you're saving it for the President. read more

July 20 (our 27th wedding anniversary) 2012 We were meeting friends in the Arts District for dinner, then going on to Jefferson the next morning. We stayed in the Presidential Suite. I felt right at home in the sumptuous bathroom, since we live in the country and do not have window coverings. With opaque glass on the bottom, and multiple panes on top, I could look out at the trees, and see a church steeple in the distance. I felt I was in a tree house. Very bright and airy. The shower was invigorating. Yes, there's no door on the shower, but I did not have a problem with that. If you don't want to get your hair wet, then "shower" in the jacuzzi tub. The medicine cabinets were hidden behind mirrored doors, with the outlets and hair dryer there. Very convenient. The water even tastes good! I had forgotten to grab bottled water from the car. The first thing I noticed in turning back the bed, was that they have wonderful pillows. I always carry my feather pillow, since most places have thick, hard pillows. I was concerned about parking, but it is very secure behind the house. Breakfast was beautifully done, very tasty. I loved that it was served in the dining room on pink transfer ware china. If you love old homes, this one is a treasure. Most wallpaper of that period is very dark and gloomy, but this B&B did not present that at all. All of the decorating is wonderful. Antiques in the home are fabulous. All of the bed linens were beautifully turned out. Unlike Tisha, we had no problems. I assume someone began cleaning AFTER we checked out.
