Ice was dirty, seemed like no preventative maintenance takes place. No napkins were served, and at no time did she stop by to check in on us. Bartenders... not presentable at all. I didn't know what I was looking at. There was no way for me to tell if he was a bartender, or anyone else making the drinks. He seemed hot and sweaty, completely off, and wearing some sort of white T-Shirt., again, you couldn't event tell that it was a bartender making that drink, the entire experience was horrible. The drinks were so bad that we took 2 sips and said it's time to go. Waitress came by, we checked out and she just stood there waiting for a tip. We felt forced to tip her, when in reality I wanted to say, please quit your job. Folks, if you are looking for a nice classy drink, or something made right, do your self a favor and go elsewhere. if you are staying there, either go to the lobby bar, or better yet, skip out and head to Manhattan beach. No one should pay over $50.00 for poorly made drinks, served on a dirty glass, warm and with less than mediocre service.

It's literally walking distance from our hotel in Torrance -- so close we actually walked past it the first time without even realizing it was there. Super hidden, easy to miss. The space itself is small, and when you first walk in it doesn't hit you with an over-the-top tiki vibe right away. But once the drinks start coming out, it fully delivers. The glassware is so fun and themed -- I was obsessed with the flamingo cup and actually ended up buying a couple online since I couldn't take the real one home with me. Drink-wise, I stuck mostly to my usual zombie, which has this great earthy, cinnamon-y flavor that's just different from anything else -- does the trick every time (there's a two-drink max/minimum on it, which I respect). We also tried a Makahiki Mua and a Painkiller, both really solid. The Makahiki Mua had a fun flavor, kind of similar to a Painkiller, but the zombie is still my go-to. Service was pretty good overall -- the bartender stayed mostly in one corner of the bar, which actually worked in our favor since we got served fast. A couple of small quirks though: they only have a limited number of menus, so we kept having to pass one back and forth around the bar, which felt a little silly. They also seemed to be running low on drink cups at times, having to wash and rotate them back into use, which was an odd thing to notice at a bar this size. Also wish they had some food or snacks available, even something small -- but that's a minor gripe. Vibe-wise, this is easily one of my favorite tiki lounges I've been to -- doesn't quite topple Broken Compass Tiki for me, but it's up there. Fun, easy, great drinks, solid service despite the small hiccups, and a perfect spot if you're staying in the Torrance area. Would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone chasing that tiki lounge crawl.

I came on here to write a review for this place but then quickly realized I don't have the time nor the patience for this. I will say this the owners need to higher management to run the bar they shouldn't be doing it. Mid 40-50 years old they run the bar like it's there backyard bbq. Biased as hell, and hell of unfriendly. I've seen there own family come there with weapons and cause more drama then the people they kick out for less. Fights every other night personally witnessed staff beating up patrons that attend an watch the owner laugh about it an threaten others with the word "86" like as if people fear not being able to go back. Drug use is common I wouldn't bring your girlfriend or wife here for a good time you might end up fighting someone over it. read more

This place gets over packed. The type of people that go here are drug addicts. If you want to risk getting shot or getting COVID on a Friday night then this is your spot. Nobody gets padded down the bouncers are only there to kick you out when it's time to go home. Rather than controlling the amount of people that go in and making sure they don't have weapons. My husband literally got pushed and shoved out by the owner because he was gay, as we got kicked out other guests we're screaming hateful comments towards us and the owner kept yelling at us to leave , WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Our server, Asia, was fantastic--attentive, professional, and kept our drinks full while managing several other tables. The food did take longer than expected and came out a few orders at a time, but we could see her constantly checking with the kitchen and doing everything she could. Overall, our server provided excellent service and made our experience enjoyable despite the delays. We will be back to see her! I don't write reviews but she was amazing.

Ordered the vegan cheesesteak sandwich, fries and shishito pepper as an app. Vegan cheesesteak was surprisingly good and fries were cooked to perfection. We almost forgot we ordered the shishito peppers because they arrived halfway through the meal but they were good as well. Service was lacking despite it not being busy. Took awhile to get our drinks probably because our server kept huddling up in convo with other servers. This also happened when we asked for to go boxes and forget anyone asking me if I'd like another glass of wine. Could tell even the booth in front of us were getting annoyed with lack of service as well. Might check this place out again with hopes of better service. Did appreciate the parking around back.
