Came into the Tavern on 8/22 with a party of 16. Despite it being very busy, we were welcomed and seated right away. Our server, Asia, was fantastic--attentive, professional, and kept our drinks full while managing several other tables. The food did take longer than expected and came out a few orders at a time, but we could see her constantly checking with the kitchen and doing everything she could. Overall, our server provided excellent service and made our experience enjoyable despite the delays. We will be back to see her! I don't write reviews but she was amazing. read more

Happened to be in the area and decided to check this place out. It was pretty warm inside but did enjoy the over all vibe. Ordered the vegan cheesesteak sandwich, fries and shishito pepper as an app. Vegan cheesesteak was surprisingly good and fries were cooked to perfection. We almost forgot we ordered the shishito peppers because they arrived halfway through the meal but they were good as well. Service was lacking despite it not being busy. Took awhile to get our drinks probably because our server kept huddling up in convo with other servers. This also happened when we asked for to go boxes and forget anyone asking me if I'd like another glass of wine. Could tell even the booth in front of us were getting annoyed with lack of service as well. Might check this place out again with hopes of better service. I love this place, I recently moved to the area and the ambiance, service, and overall environment is excellent. Can't beat the live music. I particularly want to thank Patty who is the greatest bar tender west of the Mississippi...after only my second visit she remembered my drink of choice which is what I think unheard of. Tavern on Main has a wonderfully quirky charm that makes it feel like a true neighborhood favorite. It has that classic sports bar atmosphere that feels like it's been part of the community for years--in all the right ways. The food was great, and so were the drinks. Everything tasted exactly as you'd hope from a lively sports bar: satisfying, well-prepared, and perfect for a casual meal or watching a game. The location is another plus. Downtown El Segundo is a great area to explore, with plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are several options nearby, including paid lots, some free parking lots, and free street parking if you're willing to walk just a little. The service really deserves a special mention. When we visited, our server was running the entire front of house by herself. Although service was naturally a little slower because she was handling everything alone, she remained friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding customer service throughout. Friendly neighborhood pub! Food was great (I had the boneless wings and the portion was generous), delicious drinks and wonderful barstaff. Parking can be tricky when it's busy but on the random Tuesday evening I stopped here it was not awful. It's always a good time at the Tavern. Came on Sunday to watch football and they have many TVs here to watch every game. It's an Eagles bar, but they show all of the games. Waitresses are always friendly and attentive. Very casual atmosphere. Food is pretty average, not the best but not horrible. Good as far as bar food goes. I tried the chilaquiles this time and it was basically cheese nachos with eggs and very little sauce. But we come here mainly for the drinks and good time. read more

This place sucks now. Terrible service and the food is so gross without any flavor. Go literally anywhere else in el Segundo.

This place has gone way downhill. The chilaquiles literally did not have sauce, which is the point of chilaquiles. They were dry chips with some cheese and beans sprinkled on top. This came out cold 10 minutes before the second entree. The second entree, BLTA, had 1 slice of bacon, 4 shreds of ice berg lettuce, a wilted tomato, and turkey in between two dry pieces of bread. It was like cafeteria food. We waited an additional 5 minutes for the third entree, which also sucked. Had to ask over 3 times for water refills and after the 3rd, she took my water cup and never came back. $100 for the worst service and worst food. So disappointing and ruined the vibe. Would have stayed here and ordered more drinks. read more
