The place is located walking distance from China town. Great dive bar, went in on a Saturday early evening and it wasn't crowded at all but I can imagine it being packed at night. Me and my friend both ordered beers, they have a great selection of beers. The bartender was really friendly and brought the drinks to our table. The prices are pretty reasonable. We fell in love finding this place on our recent trip to Boston. Nice comfy circle booths, cheap drinks, and of course a plethora of classic and unique board games to keep you entertained for hours! The bartender was super nice, and bucket deals were very reasonable, about $16 for five beers, allowing us to also mix and match. We played battleship and a 90's trivia game. Would not recommend. Says they close at midnight but person on phone says they stop doing food at 10. No postage of that anywhere and was not like that months ago. This place has gone downhill fast. This used to be Weggie's. I'm still very sad that place closed, because it was a true dive. This is more like a badly renovated dive, so rather than looking cheap by accident (Weggie's), it now looks cheap on purpose (Corner Pub). Or maybe Weggie's was cheap looking on purpose and the Corner Pub is cheap looking by accident? I don't know. This is hurting my head. Regardless (or irregardless), the Corner Pub is the only game in town in the immediate vicinity to Chinatown if you want to avoid places like the District Lounge. The beer is cheap, there is a jukebox, and they serve mediocre food (think gooey Velveeta cheese on the nachos), so it is still a dive.... just not as good as it was... or maybe as bad as it was...? read more

Just when you think that you've seen all the fusion bars and restaurants there are, something new pops up. Welcome the Corner Pub, your all authentic Asian Pub. Not surprisingly on the outskirts of Boston's Chinatown, I stumbled here in a severe craving for wings on a Wednesday after the gym. I was taken aback and confused when the sign with the bar's name had a dragon painted on it, but that did not deter me from what turned out to be a good time. Fusion time it was - All American sports memorabilia, divey set-up, the jukebox and TVs around, a gambling opportunity, Dingy T-shirts for sale and Games on the Patron tables. What isn't there to love from the get go. The bartender was surprise, also Asian with a pretty decent hearing problem I believe, or maybe he just acts confused so he can get away with mishearing your drink order or forgetting it a few times. But that's actually kind of a charm. I was def hooked because places like these are where you get the best, most unique bar food. And I was not wrong on that account, on the back of the menu they have a whole selection of filled eggrolls at $3 a piece of the craziest creations. With this menu I abandoned my wings and went for the eggrolls. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken, the Sweet chili Pork and the White Trash Eggrolls [mac & cheese with hotdogs]. Each of the items was split in two like you receive wraps, awesome amount of food. Solid pub food, tons of flavor and crunch. Hilariously, this is the local dive bar that isn't "too" divey. My company has come here twice for happy hour, and both were pretty great -- lots of inexpensive bottled beers, and free popcorn. I'm kind of blown away by how busy this place is -- they really do have a lot of people during happy hour. My one complaint? I almost wish it were a little more divey. They even had a Christmas tree during the holidays. Can you imagine that? Oh. The other complaint: jukebox costs money, so most of the time there is no music. Very sad. read more

Have been looking for a decent bar near south station bus terminal to chill at while waiting for a bus to NYC - and corner pub is the spot! Came here to play some board games with my boyfriend which was the perfect way to pass the time while watching the football too! Got the nachos with chili and they were delicious! Enough cheesey goodness with pico de gallo style salsa - the only thing I would suggest is to slice the jalapeño a little thinner so you can eat it :) This is a kind of bar where you walk in and seat yourself so definitely give yourself plenty of time to go here The prices were right and we will definitely make a stop here before future bus rides out of south station bus terminal read more

GREAT FOOD. We just had this delivered. The food was very good. The only thing I have to gripe about was the egg rolls. In the picture it shows two rolls cut in half to imply that is one order. When we got the delivery there was only one egg roll per order. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT I WOULD HAVE ORDERED MORE!!!! They were delicious. Delivery was fast. Food came in hot. Not being from the area, I check Yelp for reviews for basically everywhere. After reading all the great reviews I decided to give the corner pub a try. I called in my order which was a Steak & Cheese and a burger. The steak & cheese was delicious, although the cut of the steak was a little on the thicker side of something I'm used to. The bread was a good pairing. The tots were a nice addition and very crunchy! The burger was big and juicy, seasoned pretty well. I ordered the sweet potato fries to go along with it which were just as crispy as the tots (for anyone who doesn't know it's a little tricky to do so). I had a horrible experience here last night. Me and my friends went out for someone's 21st birthday so we made a reservation. When we got there they first said we can't seat all of y'all and then they completely ignored us hoping we'd leave. After the first of us were seated they scanned our IDs and one didn't scan so they kicked us out. This ID was completely legal and distributed by the DMV. I don't know why they would stoop so low to Falsify a real ID but it was extremely unprofessional and I will not be coming back here. read more

This bar is more of a 4.5 but I'm going to go all in with the 5-star rating for what the bar truly is. For being a "dive" bar, this has everything that it needs to make the criteria. They have golden tee, a touch tunes jukebox, keno & buckets of beer. The drinks are on the cheaper side for a Boston bar, and I love that you can order a bucket of beer ($17 for 5 I believe). They also have 10+ beers on draft and they have a TV above the bar to go over what each of the beers are and ratings, IBU, Alcohol %, etc. But the real star of the show here are their egg rolls. If you're questioning that statement, ask anyone about Corner Pub egg rolls and you'll get the same response. They aren't traditional egg rolls, but an American version that leaves nothing to be disappointed about. Steak & Cheese, Asian Pork, White Trash (mac&cheese + hotdogs), buff/bbq chicken. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very busy / loud which was really nice! We ordered some egg rolls (steak and cheese, buffalo chicken, bacon cheeseburger), burgers and the buffalo wrap. All tasted SO good and the prices were beyond reasonable, especially for being in Boston. I also loved how many local beers were offered - I'm a huge fan of Harpoon and it was so refreshing seeing many of their specialty beers! The service was also something really special, the father of the owner was working and he was so friendly - he made my family and I feel right at home. The Corner Pub is a hidden GEM! I have frequented there several times during Covid and have been beyond impressed. Their take out was amazing (especially the egg rolls), the staff is so inviting, and when they opened I was introduced to some of the most delicious cocktails. I can't say enough about this place.
