Took me forever to find this in Yelp because I thought it was called "The Fish Shed". It is located right next to the beach in Cornucopia by the other shops, just down from the marina. They offered live music today outdoors. We all enjoyed our locally caught fish from Lake Superior! The South Shore Nut Brown Ale was a perfect match for our fish meals!

Fish Tacos were great, fun place for lunch. Tables on the Siskiwit Harbor, food always tastes better when you are looking at boats.

Fast service and excellent food. Fish tacos are top notch. Don't let the "shack" appearance fool you. Great food great service.

Fast friendly service. Nice addition to the Cornucopia harbor. Great place to enjoy a cold mug of beer on a hot day.

Clean and "modern" although decorated as a hunting lodge replete with taxidermied heads of deer and bear. Very friendly staff. The menu had changed substantially from October 2024. Husband had the bourbon bacon burger on ciabatta with onion rigns and he ate every last crumb. It looked delicious. I had the fish tacos, which they are evidently known for. However they were out of whitefish that day so substituted trout with my approval. They were OK, the fine breading was a little tough and there was way too much fish on each tortilla. I wasted over half of the fish. Three huge tacos was too many, I would in retrospect suggest a choice of one, two or three. The slaw was not pineapple slaw as listed but still tasty. The french fries were hot and crispy, I am a french fry lover. We'll be back next visit.

It still took 15 minutes until someone noticed us, sitting in the booth. Really not a big deal as we had already looked online while waiting to know what we wanted. We ordered immediately, an appetizer which was mozzarella sticks, and a wrap/burger both with fries. A hour goes by it's now 8:00pm no one even checked on us for another drink. I asked the waitress would we be getting our appetizer or food shortly? She said yes they are working on it, I pointed out the couple that came in after us was eating and finishing up, she said that's because they had salads. So she offered us a free beer each for waiting an hour for an appetizer. We waited another 30 minutes and still no appetizer or food. We inquired at the bar finally what the actual time frame for any food? We were told they are working on it right now . We ended up leaving and grabbing a frozen pizza from the gas station. I would not recommend going there and I would support any other local establishment first before Poncho's. With drive time/wait time we spent over 2 hrs 15 mins and never received any food. If I could give 0/5, I would have.

Each of us also had the soup of the day. The soup was tremendous. Whitefish was so well done. Nice size bun to not overwhelm the fish. To top it off we splurged and split a berry crisp with ice cream on it. Just fantastic. Side note lemonade and fresh tea were very nice as well. Check the hours before you go. No weekends. Found the service very friendly. We'll be back. New favorite in Ashland.

I had a cup of the fish chowder along with the recommended seasonal tomato and mozzarella appetizer. My husband had a salad with whitefish on top. I was licking the bowl & the plate, savoring each bite. I'm guessing our waiter was the owner and his recommendations were really helpful. Service was very attentive and the price paid for our meal was extremely fair If you're in Ashland and want some great grub, come here. You won't be disappointed.

I was expecting Lorelei to walk into reception area at any moment with a cup of coffee. Foods are excellent We had 5 course tasting menu that way we can taste most of the foods. Fortunately This is a very fine dining with moderate portion not giant. The highlights are definitely: Caesar salad - made old fashioned way you can taste the anchovy Mushroom soup - almost like French onion soup but mushroom and without overwhelming cheese on top. It's so nice and light. Perfect start to a meal seafood ravioli served with salmon - ravioli is definitely the star . The salmon is just some back up dancer. That Ravioli is magic. Umami bomb definitely taste the ocean (in a good way) and the butter and all the good things in life. For desert - the berry cobbler is special of the day and it is just phenomenal. All great texture are there. Chewy crust. Explosive berry flavors à la mode. After dinner. You can hang out at the porch there's swing. Nice chairs overlook the lake. Next time we should probl stay here
