    Maple Pecan Darling
    Anna C.

Such a cute bakery with a good selection! We got 5 items: 1) Cottage cookie: solid cookie! Perfect chewiness and softness and has a hint of coconut flavor. 2) Dutch apple darling: a must get!! Apples are sweet and the perfect softness, paired with the crispy and fluffy dough was just perfect. Not overly sweet nor sour. 3) Maple pecan darling: also a must get!! This was such a great dessert for my sweet tooth. The dough was fluffy and crispy and the nutty flavor was so good! 4) Almond Bostock: it's like an almond croissant, the outer edges are very crispy but the inside is softer! 5) Chocolate chunk rye: this one was interesting, it almost tasted like a coffee flavor to me. It was just a bit too salty for our tastes. The line moves fast and everyone is friendly, will for sure be back!

This is a wonderful bakery in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area - and there's not a lot of places like it nearby! My favorites were the apple darling and the cottage cookie but I can't wait to go back and try more!

A gem of a bakery in the Lynnwood area that is a must stop during my Costco and H-Mart runs. Stand outs from other bakeries in Seattle are there generous samples and incredible price of Stamp Act Coffee, one of my favorite Seattle coffee roasters, which can cost up to $26 per 12 oz bag elsewhere is a flat $15! I've had the Cottage Cookie, Cardamom Bun and Lemon Bun. My favorite is the cottage cookie of the three. Parking generous; check the hours!

This bakery is a hidden gem in the Perrinville neighborhood of Edmonds. Love their bread and baked goods. I've stopped by when they had samples of their French onion foccacia out, as well as their granola butter smeared on bread and it was all sooo good! On this last visit, I got the chocolate chunk rye cookie, maple shortbread and the dutch apple darling. All were delicious, but I would say the standout is the chocolate chunk rye cookie. I like being surprised when I show up because I never know what is available or what new item is on display that is calling my name. Service is friendly and prompt. Even with a line, it goes quickly. There are a couple of tables outside with chairs to enjoy your treats.

This place is a bread-lover's dream. As someone who worked in NYC bread bakeries for years, I have high standards and The Cottage is magical. First of all: samples. Little bites of pastry, cookies, bread? I was instantly sold. The line moved fast, the case was gorgeous, and their local merch selection? Also excellent, impeccable. But the bread... THE BREAD. We got a flaky sea salt focaccia (that only partially made it home) and a parmesan black pepper sourdough loaf, and I'm not exaggerating when I say we're now planning to drive out of Seattle every weekend for our bread fix. Moist, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and generously sized at unbeatable prices. The staff was super friendly and helpful, if I could give them literally infinite stars, I would.

The Cottage, Community Bakery has been in existence since 2018 and I enjoyed reading the background information provided on their website. Clearly, I have been under a boulder (not a rock) not having this amazing indie business on my radar screen sooner, learned about it only recently. Indeed there is a quality bakeshop with reasonable prices for north enders in the Perrinville area of Edmonds! I had stopped by on 11/25/24, only to find out that the site is closed on Mondays. My bad for not checking beforehand. I returned with a fellow Yelp Elite/IGer on 11/30/24 after our breakfast at nearby Bistro 76. One thing that was notable upon immediate entry was the amazing, tantalizing baking scent. I loved how the various stacked flour bags acted as instant customer flow barriers. Lots of merch, platters of samples, and I was glad for the line because it allowed me to gawk at the vast product line of artisan breads and other baked goods. I bought one each of the French Onion Soup Focaccia ($7), Lemon Bun ($4), and Chocolate Chunk Rye Cookie ($3). Delicious and satisfying - as how well crafted baked goods should be received. Also notable, very welcoming, well informed, and upbeat counter staff. Definitely recommended! Open Wed to Fri 8am to 6pm. Weekends 8am to 4pm. Closed Mon/Tues. Stop by early for best availability and selection.

Pretzel bagel trio. Sea salt, Parmesan, everything pretzel bagels

Wanting bagels led me to this place. There were line of people but the process was fast. When you buy three bagels you get one for free. Love that it's soft and tasty. Not too salty either. Love love the focaccia! Just perfect. Huge portion of real sourdough. Have to try that next time because focaccia was large! There are little tables to sit and enjoy some sweet bake goods as well. For me, sample pretzel roll and other delicious samples were so addictive. Giving me a whole roll to taste gives me an impression of their confidence. Definitely a place to come back for more delicious fresh and healthy bake goods!

Shortbread was old and rock hard and almond bread was old gross and soggy. Waste of time if they're selling products like this.

Fantastic baguettes and sourdough bread. The real thing. Not the junky French bread some of the local grocery stores sell.

The fact that you can actually see the kitchen and staff first thing in the morning through the window is so humanizing and really makes you understand that you're supporting peoples dreams and pursuits. I come early in the morning when they first open so the vibes are always calm which is nice. I would definitely recommend getting daily pastries instead of other places like starbucks which prepackage every item in plastic. The prices are similar enough and the quality is just so much better here! They offer a great variety of unique pastries, including the trendy flat croissant. While the flat croissant was fun to try and very crispy, I still prefer the traditional style. The pistachio croissant and Hokkaido cheese danish were my personal favorites because they were incredibly fresh, flaky, and buttery. Besides the treats, they have a solid selection of coffee and milk teas. The interior is spacious, and the staff is both quick and friendly.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with cozy vibes. They have a lot of different coffee and pastries. We got a variety of pastries to try. First was the cinnamon roll, we had it warmed up at home and it still tasted super fresh and delicious. The M&M's cookie was huge, not too sweet, perfectly soft and crunchy. The other pastries we had was raspberry croissant, and a muffin, all tasted pretty good. I think all their pastries are fresh, delicious, and not that sweet compared to other bakeries. I highly recommend getting their cinnamon roll. This cafe is perfect for the all seasons especially summer if you want to sit outside and enjoy the view of downtown Edmonds. They have plenty of seatings inside and outdoor. Parking is limited since it's downtown Edmonds so it's a bit challenging but it's worth it because you get to enjoy fresh pastries and you can also have a nice walk down to the beautiful town and beach after.

She kept talking back to me, didn't care to maintain eye contact and pushed the bag full of pastries towards me like she didn't have a care. I always order sea salt caramel coffee and this is the first time it doesn't taste as it should... Unfortunately I didn't see a name tag but she gave attitude to the customer behind me as well, hopefully it doesn't continue for the rest of the customers who's undeserving of that. This was at 8AM - first time I've visited an 85 this early and I wasn't expecting it to actually be decently busy! They also had the boba ready at 8AM and I couldn't resist getting a drink as well. Boba Milk Tea, Medium, 25% Sweet ($4.85) - I've only gotten boba in the afternoon from 85C, most recently from the Lynnwood location, and it wasn't very good at all. I'm guessing they don't rotate the boba at all, so ordering it earlier is better. The boba at 8AM is actually pretty good with a surprisingly decent chew and bounce and a good sweetness on the exterior that's also sticky and soft. The pearls aren't really consistent in size, but are consistent in texture, which is more important. For the tea - 50% sweet is usually way too sweet for me at 85C. 25% is good and not too sweet. Unfortunately there isn't much tea flavor and it mainly tastes milky and creamy. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 White Chocolate Strawberry ($2.60) - Very soft bun with the typical artificial strawberry flavor. The bun is super soft with a nice subtle bounce. Small pieces of softened white chocolate are embedded in the strawberry flavored cream on the inside. It's a well balanced bun that's sweet but not cloying. (4/5) Overall this is a pretty decent 85°C. Very convenient to visit to pick up fresh bread after grocery shopping at Ranch. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms
