This was my first visit to the Counter. We arrived in time for their lunch menu, and there was lots to choose from. This place has great black and white decor, with lots of plants. Makes it feel very welcoming. We tried two of the sandwiches, the Americano, which had house roasted roast beef, caramelized onions, mushrooms, aoli dressing. So delicious. The bread is really soft too. You get a choice of chips or potato salad, also house made. Potato salad is very good, not at all mayonnaise overpowering or gummy. The other sandwich was the South of Philly Cheesesteak. Shaved meat with cheddar cheese. Very, very good. The Counter has a small area of seats from front to back plus a little area outside to sit. They are located between stores in a strip mall, but easy to find. Next time, I'll have to try their breakfast menu, as I can tell from the other reviews that they are large and tasty.

Came here at just the right time before a line appeared on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately their coffee machine was down, but I did enjoy a chai tea latte and the breakfast scrambler. Quick and friendly service. Yummy food. What more do you need for a breakfast spot?

Wow! First time having lunch here and will be returning! This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! My friend ordered a custom salad and said the same thing about hers! Service was quick, food was made fresh, people were enjoying the food and their company in the resturant. Such a cute place. 10/10 breakfast & lunch!

    Turkey Sandwich in Kaiser roll.

This place popped up on my Yelp feed. I don't think I had ever gone to a Yelp Feed place before. But I was excited because there are bagels! Aside from here, there are only two good bagel places in the area. One is far and the other doesn't have the friendliest customer service. So I was happy to find The Counter. While at the counter at The Counter, they asked my name. I literally didn't know what to say: Dan or Tyler (pen name). At this point, 95% of people call my Tyler. It has unintentionally taken over my life. Somehow, this led to a mini life conversation at the counter at The Counter. Both employees were super chill and friendly. And we agreed on some life philosophies. For the food, the bagel was super buttery, which was great. I don't know why I love butter so much but I own it. Respect to the anti-herd butter crowd. The Turkey Sandwich on a Kaiser Roll (reminds me of sitting at a table by a pool in Florida) was very good, and the seasoned chips are made in-house. Most people would choose the sandwich and chips, and that makes sense. But I will go with the bagel on future visits--gotta get that butter! Definitely recommended.

Great little spot in Mooresville! The classic egg sammy is a definite must. Look at all that deliciousness! And I wasn't expecting such a hearty breakfast sandwich, it was a nice & filling surprise! The roll was soft & bacon cooked just right. The egg was perfect! I also got a caramel latte. It was tasty, too. The lady that took my order & made my coffee was super sweet, too! Cute ambiance inside with plenty of seating. They also have outside seating. Prices are reasonable & they serve breakfast & lunch. I can't wait to go back & try lunch!

We've heard lots about this new cafe/restaurant on social media. We were glad to try it and were so happy about our lunches! Each of the sandwiches were huge and flavorful! The place started to fill up shortly after noon. They have some seating inside and outside tables as well. There's parking in the plaza. Can't wait to go back to try more off their menu!

If you are a fan of BLT sandwiches! Please stop no further; We ordered lunch from here from work; let me tell you very quick and so good. I've had to wait to eat my lunch and my sandwich was still in tact delicious. I need to find out where they get their bacon, that's how good this sandwich was! It comes with a side of pasta salad, perfect portion because I am about to destroy this sandwich; Please like my review and others on my page Keeping reviews real

Heard about the Counter from some friends and wanted to try it out. Went over for lunch on the weekend and it was a great experience. I had the Meatball Sub and my wife had the Godfather. Both sandwiches were pretty amazing. The portions were good and the food quality was on point. Service was really good. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. I was really happy with the experience and look forward to the next visit. I just wish we lived closer. Great job and please support this business.

I'll have to try The Counter again. I've heard good things about their sandwiches, so perhaps we didn't order their best (salad and a tuna wrap). I will say the carry out service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant is always full of diners.

The restaurant had a good number of patrons, with about four tables available. I ordered, and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, the tea, and the pancake. Once to food came it was ok...but not worthy of the 4/5 stars that others have offered or the ranking as a great brunch place. My omelet and biscuit were good enough (but not hot enough...did they sit around waiting to be expedited...short servers?). As for the grits. They ran out. How does a breakfast place in NC run out? They finally came after I had finished the omelet. Sigh. THEN the single slice of lukewarm French toast came. After the grits. After she was long finished with her eggs. It WAS delicious though. Being a Sunday morning, the place was very busy but my wait time was maybe a little over 5 minutes. The server was immediately at my table after serving others, and took the drink and food order at the same time. Refills were not only in a timely manner from her, but also from other servers checking on diners. The value for the money is definitely there. Highly recommend. I ordered the pork belly bao buns, but they missed the mark for me. Coming from NY, I'm used to bao buns being marshmallow-soft and pillowy, but these were a hard, and the pork belly itself was quite tough. Our wonderful waitress noticed I only took one bite and brought the manager over. He explained that the cut is naturally mostly fat, which I understand, but the texture just wasn't quite right because it should be tender not tough. I declined a replacement dish, and he kindly credited it on our bill, though the interaction felt a little awkward. My husband's salmon unfortunately had a very heavy mustard flavor. The spinach farrotto underneath was quite salty. Since there isn't a kids menu which is fine, my daughter ordered the burger plain, but it wasn't really a hit for her. My coconut guava Paloma was okay definitely the best part of my meal though it tasted a little artificial. The ambiance has a lot of potential, and they had live music playing. However, it was a bit too loud for the space, forcing guests to raise their voices just to speak to each other. We also noticed our table hadn't been wiped down thoroughly before we sat down. The absolute silver lining of our evening was our waitress. She was incredibly sweet, highly attentive, and took great care of us. She is truly the reason I am giving 3 stars. She mentioned that they offer a completely different menu for brunch. Because the setting is so pretty and the service was so good, we might give them another chance for brunch down the road, but we likely wouldn't return for dinner. Proof that lighting and plating can hide a lot! Captured these beautiful views last night, even though the dinner itself was a bit of a letdown.

The shrimp wrap, however, was disappointing. It had very little shrimp and seemed to rely heavily on overcooked bacon and an abundance of lettuce, which made it tough to chew and left it lacking balance. The menu offers unique flavors and creative combinations, but in this dish, there seemed to be more emphasis on presentation and concept than substance.
