Did not seem fresh and did not taste like a Long Island bagel. Lived on Long Island for over 30 years and they are not the same.

Don't get the bagels, but the sandwiches are great, but unfortunately, they close early or they don't have hot food after certain time. Definitely a true sausage, egg and cheese from New York City but you have to get the roll not the bagels. I tell everyone go to Long Island bagel's for the best deli sandwiches just like in New York City but don't get the bagels. read more

I went to Yelp and started reading the reviews. I noticed the first review was right on the money! Then I looked who wrote it and it was me nine years ago. Nothing has changed--just that I gave three stars instead of two. I guess I'm in a good mood. As far as taste, it doesn't exist. I'm from Long Island and these are nothing like Long Island bagels. I hate to say that because the people were friendly. However, how friendly are they really if it's almost $9 for three bagels? This would be a good time to point out something I learned in life. Don't trust the nice people--they have an agenda. It's all manipulation. Trust the respectfully authentic people. I ate the Poppy Bagel but it wasn't very enjoyable. I couldn't even one quarter of the sesame bagel. I hate to write this but my loyalty is to the customer. In the poker world, my loyalty was to the poker player opposed to the poker rooms. This led to people being afraid to hire me. Instead, they hired very 'active' women. Lol. Good luck with that! I ain't no sell out. 99% of people I have met don't understand how I don't kiss ass for the money. I have my reasons. We got off bagels, didn't we? My bad! This place has a friendly staff but that's their job to get the money. Prices are high, signage is poor (losing business), and bagels are tasteless. Sorry! First time trying this place out and had an outstanding bagel sandwich. I did turkey, roast beef, and bacon, plus coleslaw and thousand island dressing with swiss cheese on a cheddar bagel. The bagel was fresh, and the sandwich was loaded up with meat and toppings. 5/5 no doubt. I'll be back to try some more stuff for sure. read more

still bagely after all these years... been coming in off and on since before the plandemic but recently the whole bageling process has changed; used to was he got 'em from a different NY-style bagel place near here but now they are rumored to come refrigerated from up north already boiled and just needing a little time to finish in the oven... and voila! bagel! open about 6:00 so I can enjoy the occasional sausage, egg, and cheese on something round and toasty around 7:00 with Paul before heading off to the lake and surrounding countryside. never a bad word, never a wrong order. could maybe spend a nickel on better coffee and upgrade the seating plan but these booths are paid for and will work good enough if I lose about 15 pounds. and there's still russian dressing on the sandwiches that call for it so they've got that going for them too. read more

Returning from up north, I really wanted a meatball sub. They have them on the menu here and even though they're a bagel shop, I gave them a try. It turned out pretty good. I have been going here since moving to Mooresville. They always have decent food. I have not had a problem with them until today. If you're looking for some authentic NY bagels this is the place. I've been here so many times I can't even count. The first time I ordered the everything bagel with cream cheese and CRISPY bacon (something is always get in NY and was a typical order). They didn't look at me weird and made it PERFECTLY. CRISPY not GREASY BACON and their cream cheese is so good. Of course the bagel was ON POINT. I absolutely love this place and my husband couldn't agree more. Wanted to try the Taylor Ham here. The sandwiches were fine, but what was really appalling was the staff. I requested to pay for the food of all the people in my party. Paid $25.77 plus left $3.87 as a tip. We ate the food and sat inside talking for over 30 minutes. Upon leaving, an employee runs me down in the parking lot and tells me I didn't pay for all my food. I go back inside and after several minutes of "calculations" they decide I owed $4.35. Essentially, I gave them a tip to hand a sandwich over a counter and they ran me down in public, for their mistake of less than $5. On principal alone, I will never return. I could have been approached at any point during the 30 minutes where we were virtually the only customers, but they waited until I left to chase me like a criminal for $4 and change. read more

Last 2 times this place was terrible, from the employees to the actual sandwich. Bagels are consistent still but the sandwiches aren't cheap and yet the presentation to the filling are terrible. Today I had the bayshore "grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, red pepper, balsamic vinaigrette on Sourdough" tasted like some diet version. No taste, she didn't use the vinaigrette either. Blah. We picked a cinnamon sugar with strawberry cream cheese and an everything bagel with cucumber and dill cream cheese. We had both bagels toasted and they both tasted great. I have been looking for an authentic NY bagel since I moved here from NJ four years ago and this place is it! Found this gem about a week and 1/2 ago. You could go to bjs or Harris teeter and get better bagels then here at a "bagel place" you can't find a good bagel place or deli in the south especially if your from New York! 1-never any selection of bagels doesn't matter what time or day it is. 2-Bagels are as tough and hard has a rock all the time! 3-it's great they have boars head cold cuts but they are not good at all. They might be going bad! 4-cream cheese is not good has no taste like cream cheese from a real bagel place. 5-egg sandwiches never good always burnt eggs and they don't give much bacon.. especially there charging $3 and change for a sandwich 6-never any fresh coffee 7-Extremely over priced for there quality of food and business They need new management I believe that would help much it seems to me the management does not care much about the place! read more

I'm in this area every few weeks and I'm always trying to find something good to eat so that I'm not eating "fast food" too much, so I tried this place, they have a HUGE menu and once again I was so torn on what I wanted to order (it's hard to decide when everything looks good) so I chose a ham sub, Chips and a drink, it was fantastic, I took pictures of their menu so when I came back in the area I would know exactly what I wanted when I got there however that's why I gave them a 4 and not a 5 because I stopped by there last week to eat and they were closed their hours of operation have changed and they close much earlier than 8pm now which was a total bummer, I can't believe the locals there aren't supporting this restaurant more so they can stay open longer, I will try to eat here again hopefully next time I can get here before they close read more

Drove half a hour to get bagels, since my older son recommended the store and said they had Taylor ham. No Taylor ham now. Cheaper ham. Very few bagels left. Got a bag of bagels for a party. Son got a sandwich. The man said, "Sandwich comes with pickle and chips. What kind of chips you want?" Guess man did not realize I'm a super fast reader. Overhead menu said $5.99 sandwich bagel and $6.99 add pickle, chips AND drink. I watched the register. I was charged $6.99. Son was not given a cup. They were out of ice and had to go to the back when I asked for the "paid for" drink (and both man and woman looked annoyed), so I know the man had planned to stiff him on the drink and thought I would not catch the lie about "coming with" upcharge and shorting him a drink. Women knew it too. Could tell from her expressions. The bagels were good, but there was no doubt this was a whopper and for a $1.00 I would have gladly paid if asked about the add on. Would have tipped too. No dice. I don't do business with dishonest people. That dollar cost them a customer and is the reason for the one star. Good way to wreck a business there. read more

Coming from NJ i am a bagel connoisseur. This place not only had great bagels. They had TAYLOR HAM. I thought it was a sick joke and the whole world was in on it but nay, 'twas real. The people who owned this place were originally from NY so we got to talking and then WHAMMY they lay it on my that they have Taylor Ham. Absolutely no reason why this shop should be anything less than 5 stars. Going purely on quality of food, the sandwiches are stellar. Great selection, good sauces and they have Boar's Head. Most delis use inferior meats. This place does not. The place is always clean and the owner is always there smiling and gracious. It is not in the best spot in Mooresville. We "found" this place in a somewhat abandon strip mall on 150. But, once we discovered it we found ourselves going there multiple times a month for both breakfast and lunch. Went here for lunch, walked in the door at 11:10 didn't get my food until 12:06 because they gave my food to someone else and didn't even realize, when I went up to ask where my food was, it was so long the girl said "what can I get for you today" I politely asked for my 2 sandwiches that I ordered 35 minutes ago, and it took about 20 minutes after that to actually get them and it wasn't what I expected it to be at all, have been here before and liked it, I'm from Long Island and it's the closest thing I have found so far, but it makes me not want to come back again read more
