I've been an owner at Hilton Grand Pacific Resorts Marbrisa since before it was built 15 years ago. I've seen the Cove bar and grill really come a long way since they first added it. The menu frequently changes and is very reasonably priced. I always forget to take pictures because I'm so hungry, but everything always come out looking really good! I have had the burgers, salad, hummus, wings,you name it. Today I had the chicken sandwich for the first time and it was yummy! I always have beer and they have a good variety of local and more chain like IPA's. Today I had a blood orange margarita and it was delicious! Today they had a much of people call out and only 1 cook. I was told right away it would be a 45 minute wait. I told the guy- I'll still be hungry in 45! He still made all the food with a smile on his face and it was cooked perfect! The bartender was very friendly and getting through the line too! Weekends are always busy. The staff does a wonderful job taking care of the guests. While you're waiting for your food you can lounge by the pool, next to a fire pit,play some paddle ball, or swim in the pool! For pool food, this is a very good option if you are wanting to do a relaxing pool day. The service is friendly and you can charge to the room or pay as you go. All of the items we ordered were delicious and freshly made, but we didn't really have high expectations since we were really just focused on having fun at the pool. This place is in the Maravista timeshare, which is closest one to the back entrance to Legoland. Yes, the child's meals are a real steal--$6 for cheeseburger, or hot dog, or chicken fingers with fries. But the rest of the menu was similar to your typical hotel prices--cesar salad $10 for just lettuce and dressing. The menu was rather limited with few selection choices. The view is nice though--large pool that traverses the property--and not many people were there. A large section was under construction for a future slide. The other weird thing and downside is that you really can't enter the property to eat here unless you're a resident, which makes you wonder why the signs to eat at 'the Cove" for just $6 along the walkway down to Legoland? So we ended up walking all around the property and then just happened to get into the gate when a resident was entering the pool area anyway. So if "the Cove" wants customers to come (who aren't living there yet walk down to the back gate of Legoland), it should have a way to let us in--whether it be signs to point to a gate to get buzzed in or going to a certain entrance. read more

We were about to leave the pool and get lunch elsewhere when I discovered this place on the way out. They had a pretty good menu selection for a poolside restaurant. We didn't order any alcohol but it looked like the bar was well stocked and prepared to make any drink. Our food took a while to come out so we waited by the cozy bonfire. We had cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and a garden salad with grilled chicken. Everything came out delicious and generous in portion. I loved their steak fries! I did wish they seasoned the grilled chicken with some salt though. It was bland. Other than that, we were happy campers. This place was so convenient and saved us a lot of time. Side note: I wouldn't call the hotel rooms fancy, but the pool area really impressed us! read more

The food is decent for a poolside restaurant & the drinks are reasonably priced. You can't bring in outside food or drinks to the pool, so this is the only option & I think they offer a good range of options for everyone. I got a glass of sparkling for $5. Not the greatest, but you're definitely not getting ripped off like some resort prices. read more

This place sucks and is a scam honestly. I paid $17 for fish tacos and the tacos had literally fish and lettuce that's it. The fish was a size of a quarter. If you are staying at MarBrisa and are visiting the pool, the Cove Bar and Grill is your place to get lunch, dinner, or a drink. Prices are reasonable overall. Food quality was excellent, as was the overall taste and portion sizing. Service was friendly. Drinks were good. Highly recommend the Blood Orange Margarita, made as a double. Very tasty. Went down afternoon to relax and enjoy the pool...only one young man waiting on guests. I went to the bar to check the menus... ordered our wine and took them to the table. We decided on a couple items, but this guy never bothered to ask us if we wanted anything!! Circled our table several times attending to others all around us... Our group was so impressed with The Cove during our stay at Mar Barisa. The food quality was amazing for a pool bar and the drinks were excellent. The bartender was a blast and he made us some fun drinks. Pretty sure we tried a majority of the food items on the menu between the 8 of us and we went 2 different times. Burger was juicy, kids loved the hotdogs, chicken tenders were good, the Ruben was delicious, and even the turkey panini was excellent! I was a little hesitant on ordering the turkey because it can get dry quick but this was perfect and had great flavors. The soft pretzels and the homemade BBQ chips were a good appetizer and plentiful! For drinks, the Pog, the spicy lemonade, the strawberry mint lemonade, and the margaritas were all top notch! read more

We are HGVC owners and love everything HGVC except this place. I bought into the "owners" hype when signing up. If I wanted to over pay for bad drinks and worse food, I'd stay at a normal hotel with better amenities. Absolutely disappointed that you can't bring your own drinks to a pool you apparently are part owners of. I can see that restriction for "guests" but not "owners". You can see why there are so many anti-HGVC groups on line. HGVC is always trying to make a buck and doesn't care for their owners. read more
