I had the best, most respectful, patient server name Fabricio. He made my experience so welcoming and easy. The shrimp Alfredo was to die for.. highly recommend. Chew (waiter) was also so helpful. Answered questions and asked if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

Service is always great. The best thing tonigjt was the Seven Seas! The seafood fettuccine was ok. Needed salt or some more flavor. But the seven seas could feed like 3 pple. So much fish, shrimp, clams, scallops and crab. Great view and vibes. We shared some wine at the bar inside while we waited for our table. And the chefs were nice.

This is good for groups. We decided to have a close friend birthday party. The ambience is very good. So far we ordered calamari and ceviche, both are great. So far... service is awesome. Carlos is very good! I will update this review after we eat. For now I will give this experience 4.6 for ambience and service.

Chicken nachos - chicken was cold and the entire dish barely edible

Yea this place is pretty terrible and the only saving grace is that the staff were really nice and maybe in the daytime, the views make up for the lackluster food. I came in here after trying to go to two other spots, (LTH and Pure Project were both packed with people and I needed some quiet) and was greeted pretty nicely by the host and chose a seat at their long inviting bar. Its Taco Tuesday as I was told and there was a special on Modelo draft (not my kind of beer) and taco specials. I had an Oside Blonde and that was pretty much the only thing good about the meal. I actually wanted a bowl of soup and when I asked the guy serving me which one was good, he was nice enough to give me a taste of all three, only the Manhattan clam chowder was edible and hot so I opted for that one. But when the soup came, it wasnt even hot and it was lukewarm!! I then ordered a chicken nachos and that was just a sordid mess honestly. The worst nachos I have ever eaten, and the grilled chicken was cold! I didnt want to make a fuss about the food as I just wanted to finish up my meal, pay and make a mad dash for the door. The other thing is they charged me fill price for the nachos even though it was a special for Taco Tuesday. And while the food is inedible, the staff were nice and it was fun to listen to some ska style Xmas music! You're not going to find me coming back here, but never say never, and maybe one day who knows I might be back for the $2 oyster special.

Loved the carnitas chips, the calamari is soft but lacking crunchiness, the mixed fried seafood is okay nothing special so as the fettucine. Service is okay . The view of the sunset is amazing. I just didnt expect the mosquitos.. so many mosquitos !

We come here every time we come to Oceanside. My husband ordered Fishrmans Fry, I ordered the Seabass. His was not very tasty and my Seabass was dry. We spent a lot of money on these two meals... was not worth it. The service was wonderful and I have to say they have the best homemade tiramisu... I hope they get better cooks. I don't think these are the same cooks from last year. I have ordered Seabass before and it came out so moist and delicious and my husband's seafood smelled really bad, very fishy and the sauce was something you would not dip your bread in? The view is always beautiful ...

My grandson and I can't come to Oceanside without stopping here for dinner. We love the ambience and service is always wonderful. Happy hour here is always wonderful. It's the perfect way to end our first day on the ocean. Today we ordered the oysters, which are always delicious, crispy calamari and the shrimp scampi. The oysters are always a highlight fresh and delicious along with the calamari. The shrimp scampi was pretty good, it could've used more garlic. We enjoyed our evening watching the sunset before heading out.

Came in, got sat in the back with only one other party. Took ages to get our order in, and servers took so long to accommodate us. My wife and I noticed this cart carrying two uncovered buckets of either a sauce or a soup, there's no way that can be food safe whatsoever. The concern wasn't lowered even we finally got the soups, in which they were served to us lukewarm and bland. The overpriced oysters were probably the best part of this experience as they were actually good and clean. The steamed combo was a bowl of broth with a few miscellaneous tiny shells of things. So overpriced, not only was this a waste of $115 but a waste of an hour n a half as well.

Yum! crab Louie salad, coconut shrimp, clam chowder in bread bowl, cocktails - all so delicious! Service was great too. Hard to beat the Oceanside Harbor view from here.

Great scenery and the weather was the perfect way to start a beautiful today. We've started to come to the Lighthouse, it's our go to... regularly when we come to an Oceanside Harbor. I've found that the Super Campechana, clam chowder and Fish Tacos are our regular favorites. Had a Michelada and Michelob to start. We don't give the chefs enough of the praise for the dishes they've created and send out to their guests for heavenly consumption. We tip our servers for excellent service but they're the middle man for what the restaurant actually stands for. I took the time today to give our chefs praise for our dishes that we love so much. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

Come for the location and friendly service but not the food. Spacious restaurant and bar with fun atmosphere. Food is mediocre. For a seafood restaurant the Boston clam chowder was a big miss - they should call it warm cream sauce. Not a clam to be seen, loads of creamy broth, scant potatoes. Never had anything like it. The coconut shrimp seemed dry and re-fried. Heavy on the coconut batter. Spinach salad was fine - no seafood in that! Bananas foster saved the night!

    $1 oysters
    Jonnell T.

I went during happy hour. I didn't try a lot but with $1 dollar oysters, why try anything else. The oysters along with the horseradish and mignonette were amazing. That horseradish packed a punch. And the oysters were fresh and briny. The drink - the Jin Mojito was a lil celery forward but still pretty good.

Parking was a little rough and the lot was FULL, but I took that as a good sign I went around 2pm on a Wednesday and there was a nice mix of families, couples, etc. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside in the sun or shade. I chose outside in the shade and it was quiet, relaxed, and really comfortable. I ordered the Dirty Bird and it was SO good. The chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside, not oily or dry. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, the fries were nicely seasoned, and it was a good amount of food. They happily put my pickles and hot honey on the side too. I asked for ginger ale and they offered ginger beer instead, which was a pleasant little surprise! The menu has a ton to choose from. I actually wished I had people with me so I could try more things And for my fellow IBS friends, the women's bathroom has TWO stalls. These are important details!! I'd absolutely come back and bring my husband. Although he ate my leftovers, so I'm still a little mad at him.

Our waiter was pretty cool, although his name is escaping me now. We ordered a few appetizers, wings, steak taquitos, and the pretzel. We noshed on these before we ordered our meals of bison burger, and two single patty smash burgers. Not sure if it's because it was around 7:30/8 o'clock at night, but the food was not up to par according to the two that I was with, who frequent this place. The steak taquitos tasted a tad overdone, but still pretty good since it was the first time I've had them. The pretzel was really good, but the dipping sauces not so good. I still cannot figure out why one of them was a hot caramel sauce. I have never put caramel on my pretzel and it tasted like crap to be honest. The queso must've been the bottom of the pot because it was hard and kind of burnt tasting, so pretty disappointed in the pretzel choice. Our meals came and honest to God the Smashburger looked like a kids meal. This tiny burger plopped on a big white plate with onion rings, and the burger was not good. The bison burger did not have any of the sauces on it that it stated in the menu so he needed to ask for some love on the burger. So the waiter brought over a bunch of sauces. It's a shame because they talk about this place all the time and I really wanted to try it and it just wasn't up to par. I ended up taking my Smashburger home, and the next day I scraped the nasty sauce off it, added mayonnaise to the bun and an extra slice of cheese and it was actually pretty good. I definitely wanna come again because they talk about this place all the time and how good the food is. Maybe it was just the night we went.

Did they change fish? Tasted the same basically. Still amazing as always. We also tried some new dishes: Beef Tartare Chicken Thigh Skewers Green Curry Mussels The Beef Tartare was just okay. It's the only dish I probably would not ever order again. It wasn't bad, but compared to every other banger on the menu, it's last. Something has to be last. The Chicken Thigh Skewers were AMAZING! OMG, so much flavor in the chicken but the sauce really drove it overboard. Wow. These are a must try, you won't regret it. And lastly, the Green Curry Mussels blew us away. I love mussels and always order it whenever I see it on a menu. We devoured all of the mussels (and added the $9 Roti) and even got a container to-go to save the broth, lol. Truly another banger from Dija Mara. I really appreciate that the menu changes periodically without removing the veteran dishes we continue to enjoy. Just want to mention something besides the culinary spectacles. Dija Mara's decor is every bit as memorable as its food. The artwork isn't an afterthought--it's part of the experience. The dining room manages to feel both trendy and intimate at the same time, while the graffiti-covered back wall adds a playful, street-art feel that contrasts beautifully with the polished food and cocktails. The result is a space that feels creative, unpretentious, and genuinely cool. The industrial concrete and reclaimed wood elements give it a modern edge, while the Indonesian-inspired art creates a sense of place that feels completely unique in North County. This is really our happy place and I hope it never changes.

Located on South Coast Highway in Oceanside, unassuming on the outside inside it is a cozy colorful spot for some delicious food. The restaurant is not large, but has a good amount of seating that does not feel too squished. There is a small bar and the dining seating consists of some high tops and regular height tables. I highly suggest making a reservation although you may get lucky and be able to snag a table or a bar spot. For drinks, they have agave wine cocktails, beer, and wine plus other N.A. options like Mocktails. We opted for a bottle of wine. They are clear that the items come out as they are ready, so if you want to course things out or expecting individual dishes to come out together, that will not be the case. This style lends itself to sharing which has the added benefit of being able to try a bunch of dishes and their unique flavors. When we came, there were only two of us, so we did our best to try a lot. We started with the Grilled Roti which can be served with the lamb jus curry dipping sauce and/or the vegetarian rendang curry. The roti was good and tasted fresh but it was really just the delivery vehicle for the delicious curries. The Lab Jus was good had that au jus feel as it should, but the vegetarian rendang curry was so flavorful. Definitely the star of this dish. Next we had the Sea Bream Ceviche which was seasoned with Makrut lime, hijau, Herb oil and coconut cream served with cassava chips. So refreshing and flavorful. Definitely crave-able and perfect for summer or as a palate refresh. The charred eggplant. My BF had heard amazing things about this dish. I am not much of an eggplant person but if it's good, I need to try it. It was chunks of charred eggplant served under fried shallots and basil and mixed with a tomato sambal and lemon labneh. I thought it was very good and went back for multiple bites. He thought it was amazing and practically scrapped the plate. Next up we had the Pork Belly Skewers which were served with sambal matah, black garlic, and peanut aioli. We really enjoyed this dish too and it had completely different flavors than the previous dishes. So flavorful. We finished our tour through the menu with the whole fried market fish with a tamarind glaze. Today they had branzino. It was prepared extremely well. The fish was crispy and flavorful. As warned, it does have the little bones throughout as it is really the whole fish. So be aware in case that is not your thing. Little bones everywhere. But we thought it was worthwhile to try and my BF loved it. We definitely need to come back as I still have my eye on the beef rendang and the chicken thigh skewers.
