    Breakfast burrito

This restaurant area is kind of part of the lobby area, shortly after you walk in. I only ate breakfast here while staying at the hotel - and both times ordered it to go (was nice that I was able to use my resort fee of $25 a day to cover it). Breakfast starts at 6:30, and just plan ahead, because service is very slow. Tuesday morning, I ordered an açaí bowl - and when I ordered, the woman that took my order told me it would be about 10 minutes. I went back up to the room to grab my stuff, back down, and it took 15-20 minutes from the time I ordered, until it was ready. Highly suggest if you're looking for something on the lighter side/not as heavy as eggs, and the fresh cut fruit on top was really good. Yesterday morning, I ordered the California burrito (no breakfast potatoes here - they use fries!) and it took about 25 minutes to come out, and I was one of the first people there at 6:30 ordering food. The burrito was delicious - but massive. Highly suggest either sharing it - or eating half one day and half the next (surprisingly it heated up fine the next day). I don't love hotels with resort fees, but I do like that they give you an option to offset it.

The Cassara Kitchen and Bar is located inside the Cassara Tapestry Hilton Hotel. I didn't get our waiter/bartenders name but he was excellent: he gave food recommendations. The wings were amazing and so was the flat bread pizza. Definitely big enough to share. There is plenty of room to sit and the outdoor area has two fire pits.

great food and drinks, very kind and accommodating staff. Overlooks a distant view of the ocean.

It's the 1st day of Summer and I wanted to spend a lot of time outdoors soaking up the sunshine…read more What a perrrfect time to finally go to the Tower39 Rooftop Lounge! I wanted to go there for the longest especially for Happy Hour. When I got up there, I was amazed at the ocean views and pleasantly surprised it wasn't crowded during this beauuutiful late afternoon. I picked my spot to sit then stood in line while looking over the front-n-back menu. Everything sounded good but I wanted something fresssh and summery. The friendly staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful in my decision to keep it Summer related. Not too long afterwards, my order came out. Looove the quick service! Both female bartenders were slaying it as soon as the line grew. It was niiice to see the world cup on the t.v. screen. I enjoyed watching it while I ate my yummy food and watched the magical sunset. More people showed up closer to the golden hour. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this coastal hot spot to the Yelp Community!!

They recently updated their seating as well, to super comfortable seats. The food was really good as well! We had the shareable fondue, the prosciutto flatbread, the quesadilla, and one of their salads, and the food was delicious! Overall recommend this spot, but really wish they would add service or bring back the QR codes to order from the table. Plus you can't beat that gorgeous view of the beach and palm trees.

Wow, have you ever been to Chandler's, located inside the Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach (a Hilton…read moreresort)? If not, you gotta GO!!! It's an amazing oceanfront restaurant across from South Carlsbad State Beach. Best ceviche we've ever had! The sourdough bread is to die for! Our entrées which were salmon and Chilean Seabass were cooked to mouth-watering perfection! Of course the views were insane! To top it off our waitress, JILL was thoroughly delightful! Happy and knowledgeable and so much fun... She clearly loves her job! She was so attentive to us, we felt like we were the only diners there. :-) And she really knows her stuff! Pretty hilarious when we found out that my name is JILL, too, as we rarely meet many JILLs. We hit it off famously! Not only because the food was outstanding, and plated beautifully, but because of JILL we are definitely going back! And if you go----I mean WHEN go---you ask for her!

Alright, so I'd heard great things about this place. I was staying on the resort side with friends…read moreand was directed here for coffee and breakfast. When I arrived, the host at the front was incredibly sweet. When I mentioned that my order was to-go, she kindly guided me to the bar area to place it. It was 10:50 a.m. when I got there, and by the time the guests ahead of me had ordered, it was around 11:04 a.m. Unfortunately, the bartender taking orders seemed very frustrated. I ordered an oat milk latte and three different pastries (which were honestly superb), but the interaction felt quite uncomfortable. He mentioned several times that no one had come in all morning and that just as he was cleaning up and getting ready to finish, people started showing up. I completely understand that it can be frustrating when customers arrive right as you're expecting to wrap up your shift. However, repeatedly venting that frustration to guests made for an awkward experience. I felt so uncomfortable that I almost cancelled my order altogether. Admittedly, I hadn't had my caffeine yet, so maybe I was feeling it more than usual! That said, the pastries were excellent, the coffee was good, and the host made a wonderful first impression. Overall, it was a mixed experience - great food and drinks, but the service at the bar was not something that begs repeating so I don't know if I'd go back again.

Perfect place for a big party…read more We had a company dinner at Ponto Lago and honestly, it was great. Service was fantastic and our server gave us such great recommendations. We ordered a variety of foods and appetizers and though our party had various dietary preferences, the menu was fantastic for selection and everyone had a great meal. The Koji Aged Rib Eye - Medium Rare was phenomenal. I think everything it came with complemented it so well. My friends (coworkers) and I ordered some additional corn tortillas to eat with our rib eyes and man those were so good. Dessert menu was great and I forgot what it was called but the one I ordered was fantastic. I will say, dining here is worth the price. You get such great foods, great service, and the view is just gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back. However, we sat at our table for over 10 minutes before a server actually acknowledged us. That was uncomfortable. Once he came by, we asked about ordering the lobster dinner and he said "well, it's very exclusive." to which I responded "I KNOW, we made a reservation exclusively for that. Is that noted somewhere?"He copped an attitude but then said "ok. I THINK we have some left". Ugh. So, the service was not ideal. Also, it was loud and clearly there were families in there that had just come back from Legoland or somewhere, because there were screaming children. Not really a big deal in a hotel environment because you kind of expect that, but don't go in expecting an "exclusive" experience here. That said, the food was AWESOME. Pork belly appetizer was the winner! The lobster was fantastic (although, we asked for extra of the sauce they put with it and it never came), and the potatoes on the side were great. Overall, I would love to go back and experience the food again, however, for the price, it's not worth putting up with the weak service. Also...that whole "dress code" thing. Don't stress. You're fine
