I ordered the angry chicken with a side of the pasta salad, chips and a pickle. Honestly, not a fan. The sandwich was alright, they put three different types of hot sauce on it but, it was something I could make at home. The pasta salad to me was also a little bland. And the portion of it was just tiny. And yeah, for a total of 9.95 I wanted a sandwich that I really liked. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

For being a small local deli it was a great experience. The food was very good, ordered the Grandmother and it was very flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the Angry Chicken and she was pleased with the level of spiciness. The fries are thicker cut and also are very good. I had Cove Deli cater my son's sixth birthday party. We went to Elm Ridge Park, and they came and set everything up. They had amazing sandwiches, French toast for the kids, fruit, and coffee. I was driving down the Silas Deane last week and noticed this place. I decided to try for lunch today. I was not disappointed. I ordered the house salad with grilled chicken. Everything was so fresh. The pickel on tbe side was even delicious. I will be making this my new go to. They have tables to sit down at and enjoy your meal. The entire staff was very friendly. Really cute lunch spot! Classic sandwiches and salads done right. I got the funky chicken sandwich with potato salad and it hit the spot. There were generous portions of chicken salad and everything tasted fresh. My boyfriend got the chicken Caesar wrap and devoured it. My only gripe was the pickle which wasn't pickly enough...it was more in its cucumber state than pickle (lol) but that's a matter of personal preference. But not a dealbreaker! My husband and I were coming back from a errand and he said I heard of a place from the guys from work we can get lunch. So we navigate the small parking lot and go up the ramp to the front door. You are not sure if you should sit or order at the counter. So we go to the counter and are looking at the chalk board of sandwiches. We ordered and didn't realize it they came with any sides, girl taking order seemed bothered to take our order. We asked about chips and she pointed to the rack on the wall of the chips and then we asked about bottles of water and she pointed to the cooler of drinks. So we sit and the sandwiches come with no sides but with a pickle. Very well made sandwiches but a little costly. Not sure I will rush back. Checked the online web site a few minutes ago and was surprised that the same sandwiches offered in Glastonbury are $1.00 less. $10.99 for a sandwich in Wethersfiled. read more

I stumbled across this gem on my way home from a meeting. It was lunchtime and I decided that the outside looks alone were inviting and I turned my car around and stopped in. The atmosphere was cheery and inviting. The staff were working busily behind the counter but greeted us with a smile and gave their opinion on some of their own favorites. The menu included breakfast all day and variety of sandwiches. I decided on the favorite of one of the staff. I was not disappointed!! They combined thinly sliced eggplant and lightly breaded chicken, arugula, provolone cheese, freshly roasted red peppers and Cancun mayo and a crusty, yet soft roll. I ordered a small side a fries, that were more than enough to share. Yum!! The flavors were distinct and fresh. The service was fast and efficient and the prices were very reasonable. I have been to cove deli a few times. I typically choose the #7 Honey barbecue wrap. Although, the food is tasty. I do find that $11.00 expensive for a small wrap with a small side. The staff all appear friendly I just wish that the price was more reasonable. read more

The Cove Deli is the best! I have been working with John for years now as the Cove Deli caters all of the events at my workplace. John and Kelsea are reliable and easy-going; they always set up the food on time and make it very presentable, and only serve delicious meals. They offer a variety of options since they cater for us at least once a week and they are always willing to work with me to figure out the best menu for a certain event. This deli is fantastic. I just ate a roast beef sandwich they made on pumpernickel bread with provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, and horseradish mayo. The sandwich was delicious. The roast beef there is just right, tender with the right amount of pinkness. I chose to make my own sandwich, but they have a lot of tasty signature sandwiches. I have been here once before and had a good experience. This past trip I tried the gluten free bread option and was a little disappointed. The bread and chicken salad (I ordered the funky chicken salad) itself were good, but the amount given in the sandwich was definitely lacking. They left out the arugula and the chicken salad had more dried cranberries than actual chicken. The staff was friendly and easy going. The size and furniture make it a better "to go " lunch option. I would go here again, but order a wrap instead of sandwich as they look to have more substance. read more

And I will agree with the popular idea of it, it is in fact, something I could jave made at home with hardly anything in my fridge. I cant remember how much I paid for it, but I know that it was too much for the size of sandwich given to me. It wouldnt have been that been since it comes with a side of course. I got the fruit salad, but it comes in one of those containers most restaurants put their ketchup in to give you. It was like a shot! A shot of one grape, a chunk of pineapple, maybe another grape, and concentrate juice. The sandwich wasn't that good, and their price to portion ratio is way off. I would love to say its great, since I live here, but it wasn't, and they ignored me and let others cut in front while I was standing right there at the counter. If you're eating in wethersfield, I suggest Aroma bistro, not the cove deli. Their sandwiches are easily worth the money because its the best sandwich you'll ever eat. read more
