A cute little spot that's a must try. I love the customer service as well as the variety of the menu. There are tons of sandwiches and salads to choose from. I've had both breakfast and lunch and really enjoyed it.

Ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, angry chicken sandwich, and corned beef cabbage soup. My wife enjoyed her wrap and I really enjoyed the sandwich. It had a huge piece of crispy chicken with nice heat from the condiments. The soup was excellent and you could tell everything is homemade. The coleslaw and potato salad were also good.

What an excellent spot for lunch. Not much to say other than the fact this place really makes you feel like you're in one's home. Well I mean it looks like a house from the outside. Everybody was helpful, friendly and informative especially the lady who took my order. I was able to get my basic chicken salad on gluten-free bread w/french fries and absolutely no issues at all. The sandwhich had excellent structure, it was litterally picture perfect. The chicken salad was really good. Tasty, not mushy. French Fries were good. Really the only thing that lacked a little as some of them were on the very soft side. No biggie. Just be careful as when they're soft they could get super oily and greasy (etc.) Other than that, it's cheap, they have options, the food is good quality and they make you feel at home.

Very disappointed in this place. I got a sandwich with potatoe salad, the sandwich as you can see from my picture had more mozzarella then meat. I mean literally looks like two slices of meat and the potatoe salad had ZERO salt, pepper or flavor of any kind. For $13 I expect a meal from a deli and this was literally smaller then my hand with barely any meat. I feel scammed out of my hard earned money and will most likely take days if not weeks to recover from such a emotionally traumatic experience. I will say the woman working behind the counter were very kind so they get a star for that. Whoever ownes this place has no business calling it a deli. They should rename it to "sandwiches for ants" because that's the only thing that will feel full after dining here. SHAAAAAAAAME! SHAME SHAME SHAME

Yum!! Great sandwich options. I had the keeney club which is basically a club sandwich with avocado and garlic mayo. It soo good. I love their side options, Very creative and all slightly different than the usual. I loved the herb pasta salad- it had chunks of sun dried tomatoes. Everything was perfect, I'll definitely be back.

Solid spot for a quick sandwich, and the young woman working the counter was really friendly. Parking is luck of the draw (very linited), and the sandwiches all sound awesome. I had #1 and found it to be quite good, but not amazing, and a bit pricey for what it is. I'll be back to try others eventually, but can't see myself going out of my way any time soon.

Working on trying to dine at some of the local establishments in Wethersfield, I can finally cross The Cove Deli off my list. I had recently tried them at a Taste of Wethersfield event and was looking forward to try something more than the samples they offered at the event. The store itself is quite small so I think that if I were to have gone in the winter it might have been a problem if I went around lunch time but luckily it was later in the afternoon AND the weather was awesome so I was able to sit out side and people watch. The employees were working hard and even at about 2pm they were doing a brisk dine in as well as take out business. Pleasant and polite - the girl that assisted me was helpful in helping me decide on a sandwich. She put the order in, I paid and then sat outside for my order to be brought to me. I ordered the George Washington - roast beef, cheddar, arugula (I subbed for lettuce), apple and horseradish on pumpernickel along with a bag of pretzels and their herbed pasta salad. It was not long before my sandwich was brought out and although I enjoyed it I thought that for $9.50 my sandwich was lacking in its filling. It was good but I was expecting and left wanting more. I understand that quality ingredients cost more, but really all I was asking for was another piece (or 2 of roast beef slices) I loved the herbed pasta salad but again - I was left wanting more. All in all a nice place and I will be back, especially as a place to sit outside and people watch but it will not be a place that I immediately think to go when looking for a place to grab a sandwich.

    Now at $9.50

I popped in because the parking lot was mostly empty. It wasn't particularly busy in the cafe either. There were two small groups ahead of me in line. I order my food and black iced coffee to go. I received my food. It even had to be heated. And I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my black iced coffee. Even though there are only two or three people waiting in the drink area. And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. Even though you're one of only a few people in the drink area. I'm not going to change my review score. But these experiences definitely affect how often I visit.

We placed orders for 12 of us over the phone today, we went to pick up the goods around an hour later. I got their Italian Sandwich this time. Previously I've had several of the salads. I think collectively my office has had their entire menu. From sandwiches, to salads, to pizzas, to lasagna and more. Every single meal has always been super fresh, where all you can hear is "mmmmmMmmmms..." My lunch was served on a freshly baked Italian hoagie roll, filled with roasted peppers, ham, tomatoes, mixed greens, capicola and provolone cheese. In addition to each and every single ingredient being super fresh, this was also a very large portion. I could have easily shared the other half with someone else, had it on another day or ate it right after the first portion... which one did I do? The restaurant it's self is little and very cute, it was full at 12:00 o'clock today. Cozy, charming, the kind of place that practically begs you to believe great Italian food is coming. But looks don't season food. From the pasta fagioli to the eggplant parm sandwich, the common thread was impossible to ignore: bland. Not subtly restrained. Not "let the ingredients speak." Just flat. No depth, no punch, no reason to go back for another bite. Italian food should comfort you and excite you at the same time--this did neither. Credit where it's due: portions are generous, and the bread was fresh and nicely toasted, which honestly might have been the most flavorful thing on the table. But when bread becomes the highlight at an Italian spot, that's a problem. I wanted to love Lenoci's. The space sets you up for it. Unfortunately, the food doesn't deliver.

Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Food: 3.8/5 Service: 3.4/5…read moreAmbiance: 3.7/5 Value: 3.6/5 The Charles is a nice upscale restaurant on Main Street in Wethersfield which opened in 2020 and quickly made Connecticut magazine's list of best restaurants. It is inside an old house of some sort, so it has a charming ambiance. They have a small parking lot so the spaces are a bit tight. Then, although we were on time for our 8:15pm reservation, we found out that they didn't have a table for us on the main floor, which is bad because my parents have mobility issues and cannot climb stairs. They asked us if we would be ok waiting five or ten minutes. Sure, that was fine we said. The host was very reassuring and he let us know that the corner table near the fireplace was finishing up and he'd get it bussed promptly. So that was good. But after we sat down we experienced service issues. Many items were unavailable. No orrechiete. No crab cakes. No sirloin special. It was weird. We hadn't arrived that late, on a Saturday night, how could so many dishes be sold out/unavailable? We ended up going with the scotch egg $11 and butternut squash arancini balls $12 for appetizers, which were both great. The scotch egg was a decent size and came with a mini salad. The arancini balls were small, but the truffle gorgonzola fontina cheese filling was really nice. Entrees were not bad. My Berkshire pork chop cooked medium was tender enough and had decent flavor. My Dad's veal ribs over mac and cheese were really good. My Mom's wagyu burger was tasty and my sister's salad was satisfactory. However the cost of the additional protein to the salad seems high (Grilled Chicken +14 / Seared Salmon +16/ Grilled Shrimp +21 / Churrasco Steak +24). The drinks were well made, but took a while to get to us. The "Charles... In Charge!" with old forester bourbon, montenegro, spiced cherry bitters, luxardo $15 was a hit. My Dad enjoyed his $17 Manhattan made with Angel's Envy bourbon. My $11 FreeBird mocktail was refreshing. Yet, throughout the night we found it difficult to get our server's attention. All four dishes did not arrive simultaneously. We had to flag someone down for more silverware after the appetizers were cleared. Right at the end when we were ready to pay, she got tied up listening to a couple at a neighboring table tell her a story or something. This must have been quite a yarn because she was totally enrapt and oblivious to our needs. We started wondering whether our table was actually her responsibility or not. Finally she came by and we let her know we were done, no dessert or after dinner drinks, just the check and a few boxes for takeout please. This was a new restaurant that we hadn't tried before, and maybe I took a risk by booking it for my Dad's 89th birthday, which was supposed to be special. Our experience was okay, and maybe we'd go again in the future, but there were too many more ups and downs this evening than I would have liked for a special occasion. I am rounding up to four stars overall, even though on this particular evening I didn't think each individual component met that mark exactly.
