We placed our drink orders, a mocktail for me (Cranberry Cosmo) and a Charly's Crush for my friend. The mocktail was served in a martini glass and was so delicious. I'll be honest I was impressed and pleased that the mocktail was only $9 as some places charge the same price for mocktails as they do cocktails. We ordered appetizers for dinner 2 crab pretzels and crispy brussels. The crab pretzel was soft, delicious and had the perfect amount of old bay, crab meat + cheese! The brussel were crispy, with priscuitto, a homemade dijon mustard sauce and gorgonzola cheese. For three of us this was perfect and delicious! The restaurant is beautiful and on the water. One of the things I really love is that you can sit inside but with the garage doors open you feel like you're on the patio. Outdoors there are benches, yard games and mini golf. And while there was live music that was ending for the evening it didn't feel overly loud or overwhelming. My only complaints about this evening were not the fault of the restaurant but we did have a few flies around our table that were annoying. A nice outside area and bar for lounging late into the summer nights, mini golf for the kiddies, and good drinks and food. Our bartender was great and very attentative, given it was her first night behind the bar. And the crushes were quite tasty. The menu had a decent amount of seafood items given we were dining on the water. And the star of the night were the nachos. The chips seems to be house fried and the cheese sauce was divine. Now that I've discovered this hidden gem on the water I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit to Charlys Waterfront and an opportunity to relax near the water with a grapefruit crush in hand.

The phone lines were so busy but after several attempts I finally got through. Ordering over the phone was easy. The agent was very friendly and did not rush me off the phone (as this was my first time calling and I had lots of questions). I could hear it was jammed packed with all the conversations in the background. Arriving 20 mins later and my food was piping hot and ready to go. By the time I got home my food was still hot and the flavors were nice and fresh. You can Taste the love in the food. My only issue was that my fried shrimp were a little too crispy for me. It was almost doubled fried which made it a little hard to eat. Also my wings (old bay) were overly seasoned. However I very much enjoyed the homemade ranch dressing! (They need to sell that in stores)!!!! So often such a request is greeted with sighs or worse. Little things mean a lot! ***** A lunch reservation required on a weekday? Really. At Glyndon Grill, unless you are arriving by say 11:45am, the answer seems to be a resounding yes. By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill deserves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. I could choose just how much of the mouth-watering fried chicken morsels I did and did not ant to eat, calorically. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. Supreme professionalism dripped from her every word and action. Attentiveness and pleasant without being obtrusive at all. You see it, but I've seen food being cooked at my local Carrabba's....didn't affect us in the least. The upstairs was definitely more peaceful than downstairs which is pretty loud. If you are celebrating something, I'd be sure to let them know if you are expecting a more peaceful experience. It's a lively atmosphere in most areas of the restaurant. As for the dining, in a word it was stellar. We were not disappointed. Our waiter was amazing and everything was timed perfectly. We really enjoyed all the dishes were were served. Each of us had one of the worst meals we have ever had in a restaurant of that category. To begin with, I ordered a wine with which I am familiar. This particular bottle must not have been stored correctly and had an "off" taste-- loss of flavor, slightly sour....in any case, after calling a manager it was replaced with a better, different bottle-- (we take it for granted that their wines re overpriced). It was changed, but reluctantly, by an ungracious manager. I then ordered a Greek salad. Instead of a Greek salad, the waiter brought me a chunk of iceberg lettuce, covered with bacon bits. i sent it back. In its place came a salad with lettuce, small bits of tomato, and pracitcally microscopic bits of cheap feta. The whole thing was doused with vinegar (Greeks abhor vinegar and use lemon juice.) My final course was a plain fish-- plain is indeed the word, as it was absolutely tasteless. The service was as poor as the food. We could not wait to get out of the place. What a disappointment-- Linwoods was once a fine restaurant. I would have enjoyed my meal better at any number of fast food places.
