I am very disappointed in the customer service of this company. A few of my employees and myself order from here at least once or twice a week and today 4.12.19 we called to place our order and we were treated horribly. Come to find out it was the manager who was speaking this way... All of a sudden stating that we have to spend a minimum of $25 and stating that if we did order he doesn't know when we will receive our food... meanwhile all of this is being said in a terrible tone... you have just lost our business but just like you spoke on the phone you don't even care. Very small and cramped on the inside, the tables were gross along with the floors, and the soda area had lids all over. Food, surprisingly good for a first time there. Cheesesteaks are the biggest bang for your buck in my opinion. They tried charging my friend an extra $1 for a side of ranch. Understandably you need to charge for an upcharge, but a whole $1 for ranch? No. Also watched an employee smoke a cigarette and then proceeded to wipe down tables without washing his hands. My son and I ate here while in town for the Little League World Series, thanks to reviews on Yelp. I had a great roast beef sub. Contrary to another review, I thought the amount of meat was very sufficient and perfect for the sandwich. My son had their grilled 1/4 lb hot dog, which he liked since it was served on their soft and tasty sandwich rolls, which I think are baked on premise. Ended with the funnel cake fries, which we both enjoyed. I thought our experience there was very good; my 10 year old thought it was great! So parents, there you go. read more

Ordered a BLT. Generally I am a purist when it comes to the BLT. This definitely made the list of one of the best I have ever had. The Amish tomatoes added a nice flavor boost. We enjoy the home made potato chips- are they great or what? Especially when served warm. The Williamsport area has a large number of very good sub shops (it has a Subway, too, but that's junk). The local sub (hoagie) is somewhat unique in its use of hoagie oil. Each shop has its own secret recipe, but it's this oil that makes or breaks a local sub. Unfortunately, the oil at Crazy Tomato tastes too much like plain Italian dressing. In addition the roll is not split all the way from end to end and the tomato slices are laid out horizontally flat on top of the sub's fillings. This is impossible to eat as served. I had to ask for a knife to fold the sub so as to actually eat it. It was an example of presentation completely outranking functionality. On the plus side, the roll was impeccably fresh and tasty. There are too many really good sub shops locally to bother with one that doesn't make the grade in some important areas. read more

Delicious with excellent service! Passing through Williamsport and found this place on Yelp. Pulled up and had second thoughts based on looks, don't judge this book by its cover. The workers were friendly and the food was great. Had the BBQ Ham sandwich and it didn't disappoint. If you're going to get a side go with the chips over the fries. Great place for lunch with coworkers or lunch with family on the weekend. Food is fresh and cooked to perfection every time I have gone. Staff is friendly, owners are always there and serving customers which shows they truly care about the success of their business. Chicken cheese steak is always a great choice. People say they need more space because it always is full, instead of complaining about the tight space be happy to know that Williamsport finally got a joint that is worth waiting in line for. We got a turkey sub on an "everything" roll, and a BLT. The bread was fresh, and there was a good combination of turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, and mayo. The BLT was toasted with a nice blend of crunchy lettuce, bacon, and other toppings. The prices weren't bad and the service was pleasant. read more

I have eaten here a number of times and have not had a bad experience yet. I've had the cheesesteak, italian sub, as well as the homemade chips. Everything was fantastic and I thought the chips were especially good. The serving size of the chips is quite large so be sure to have someone to eat them with or take 'em home! As others have said, the menu is too expensive for what the food is. The "cosmos" came out overcooked and burnt, even, to the point of distaste. The lettuce clearly made up the majority of the weight of the sub, after removing that, I was left with a disappointingly soggy and banal, poorly prepared "everything" roll, which is supposed to be their best bread option. The aftertaste was of burnt onions and a texture of poppy seeds coat the esophagus. I was not happy with the composition of the sandwich, which left a lot to be desired. Those familiar with the area would be better off to go to Montoursville and try Cellini's, or even Joes Pizza just up the street; both of which are local family owned and have been loved and enjoyed by the locals here for decades. This is a great place for a quick bite. The sandwiches are huge! Homemade crispy chips, French fries topped with hot sauce, ranch or even slaw and bbq. Counter service so no need to wait for a waitress. Small inside not alot if large tables. We would come again.
