He gave us an initial quote from on my own measurements but we then opted for a larger fronts that would provide more coverage. So, Jakob took the time to come out to our home to measure every single one. I was very impressed with how thorough he was. A few weeks later they were ready for delivery! They came primed and holes were drilled for the hinges (something I would recommend to anyone doing a project like this). Now they're finally painted and mounted and I count be happier with how they look! Thank you royal cabinets for helping me make my dream kitchen a reality!

They also paid to replace my damaged countertop. However, the owner was very upset with this review and threatened to withhold my refund and payment for the sink (which had to be removed along with the damaged countertops) unless I changed my review to at least 4 stars. As of August, I have not received the promised refund or the money I paid to replace the sink. I feel scammed, and I'd urge anyone reading this to consider another cabinet company.

I have worked with numerous contractors, on so many projects over the years. I have always come away with negative experiences - lack of communication, lack of follow through on projects, unmet expectations, etc (and so much worse). Working with John was so very different. Honestly, he exceeded all of my expectations and made the project so very easy - and enjoyable - from beginning to end! His overall attention to detail and kindness throughout every step of the process set this process apart from any other project I have ever experienced. John took on my remodel during a very stressful time in my life. Not only did he exceed my expectations in the end result, but the he made every step of the project smooth. He is a true general contractor. He managed every detail without me having to coordinate a single thing. John has wonderful suppliers to refer his clients to - he also makes himself available to meet with you and support you through every step of the decision making process. He will provide as much (or as little) support as is necessary and often does the work of a designer and contractor in one. And if you are OCD, John will outmatch you. His attention to detail is unparalleled. You can rest assured than every detail is remembered and attended to with the greatest care. One of the things that stands out about my experience with John is his level of communication. For starters, he answers his phone! He promptly replies to calls and texts within a very short period (typically an hour). I rarely had to reach out to John to check on the progress of my job - he provided me with regular updates. If I hadn't heard from John for a time, he usually initiated a call to provide me with an update. John has a wife and a daughter and it shows. He describes himself as an "over communicator." He is great at listening, understanding and providing patience throughout the remodel process - even with females (which has not been my experience). He does not impose his ideas on you or assume he knows what's best (even though he is a seasoned expert). He genuinely cares and works hard to be sure that he's delivering his client's expectations. I have never experienced that level of communication during a project and it was so helpful and reassuring. It ultimately resulted in my home being exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to John doing exceptional work, he works with a team of contractors that are excellent and professional. They are people you will feel safe and comfortable opening your home to and even enjoy having around your family. John and Mark especially are beyond lovely. We were actually a little sad when the project ended! They became a delightful fixture in our home! I was very involved in my project from beginning to end. I had a clear vision of the end result and personally chose all of the materials and fixtures. Even so, I cried when I saw the finished result. If was like an HGTV reveal! The entire experience, and outcome, exceeded every singly expectation I had, and more. I'm sure there are other competent contractors out there (maybe). However, you will not find a more excellent, ethical, or kind one than John. I have lived in my completed house for six months now. When I look around, I still love every single detail and remember all of the kindness, care and excellence that went into this project. I literally wouldn't change a thing, and would emphatically refer every (nice) person I know to John and his team. Do yourself a favor and hire John - you will thank yourself. He's the very best.

They glide out and are easy to load. High-quality materials and work. I saw them at the Tacoma Home Show and had been talking with them over a two-year period. When I was ready to move ahead on the project, Aaron came out to see the site and submitted the proposal. Before starting work, he returned to verify measurements and the layout. When the cabinet was ready, he and Kevin came out and did the installation. They also took the cabinet that was there and moved it downstairs and repaired two of the doors, so it is now useable. I had forgotten that I was supposed to order the hardware to match what we already had. Aaron took photos and placed the order and returned and installed the hardware when it arrived. We liked how they do the work themselves (instead of hiring others) and have high standards for excellence. When we couldn't afford an add-on for the bid, they decided to surprise us by generously throw it in for us free of charge anyway. They are a couple of good Christian guys who actually care about people, care about their work, and care about reflecting God's love. In the past, we have had challenges with contractors cutting corners on quality, taking way longer than expected and continually raising the price. Working with the Gentry's was the opposite of our past horror stories. They finished when they said they would, they ensured it looked excellent and they were totally honest and upfront about the price. When he came to visit for a quote, he came across as very competent and made many useful suggestions. We wanted a herringbone pattern tile setting for backsplash - which is a little tricky and needs careful work. Andrey did a great job of the meticulous work and detailing. He was on schedule and on budget. Andrey was transparent in his pricing from the beginning, which is a big plus in my book. I am very happy with the end result - our backsplash looks classic and understated: just as I had wanted it to be. :)
