I got the emazing Apollo plus and it had some glitches when I was doing a test ride the bike cut off for 30 minutes and in the app. it said that the ebike goes 21 mph and it only went 18 mph so I think it could've been better. I had excellent follow-up with ELV motors - specifically Sean the owner. I ordered an EcoReco L5+ scooter from ELV as they had them in stock although they aren't manufactured anymore. I've had the same model for 4 years and wanted another one as it fits my needs/usage perfectly since it has a solid rear tire and a urethane filled front tire (no routine tire pressure maintenance.) Unfortunately, during the shipping process from California to Indiana, the throttle module was damaged and had an unreadable, distorted display. I sent an email with pictures to ELV and Sean very quickly ordered the replacement throttle module which I received within a few days. Avoid this shop--completely unprofessional and unreliable. I brought my scooter in for a basic tire and tube replacement--something I could've done myself with a few hours, but decided to offload to a shop due to a busy schedule. Big mistake. ELV held onto my scooter for 4 MONTHS with zero proactive updates. Every time I called, I was told, "just another week." This cycle repeated for months until they finally told me it was ready when I called them for what feels like the 10th time. I drove 30 minutes to pick it up only to find the work hadn't been done. No one could explain who told me it was ready or why I was called at all. The scooter was still in pieces. At that point, I asked for a refund and took it home to fix it myself. From what I observed, this "shop" appears to be run by high schoolers with minimal professional oversight. Had to give a shout out to ELV motors and in particular Brett and Alex for their incredible service. I bought a Urtopia folding electric bike from them a few months ago and have received so much support since! When you buy from them, they offer "free lifetime calibration." I received that and much more: --Solid advice-- about locks, preventing flats, changing tires --A rack installed for free and a discount on it's price --But what really impressed me is how they were able to diagnose and remedy a constant ticking sound my month's old bike began to make. My local bike shop couldn't figure it out. It was tricky...Alex realized that interior to where the pedal was mounted the factory had not added lubrication. Remedying this was quite involved, but they were able to do it and have the bike ready for me same day, despite how busy they were. In less than two weeks, it completely malfunctioned and wouldn't even turn off. When I demanded a refund, the company refused, hiding behind their "No Return Policy." They had the audacity to blame me, claiming I "didn't charge it correctly" and had caused internal damage to a bike that was clearly defective from the start. It seems this is their business model: sell broken-down bikes off their showroom floor and then invent lies to avoid giving you your money back. It was a battle, but I refused to be scammed. I had to fight my own bank, Bank of America, and use legal tactics to force them to investigate properly and get my money back. They finally did. This review is a warning to others. Potential Legal Violations Under California Law My experience suggests this company may be violating several California consumer protection laws. Future buyers should be aware of their rights:     1    Breach of the Implied Warranty of Merchantability: Under California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, new products come with an "implied warranty," which is an automatic guarantee that they are fit for their ordinary purpose. An e-bike that breaks down in two weeks is not fit for its purpose, and selling it is likely a breach of this warranty.     2    Unfair Competition Law (UCL): California law (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200) prohibits any unlawful, unfair, or fraudulent business practices. Representing a used or defective e-bike as "brand new" to make a sale is a classic example of a deceptive and unfair business practice.     3    False Advertising Law (FAL): California law (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500) makes it illegal to make untrue or misleading statements to the public to sell a product. Claiming a bike is new when evidence suggests it is used, damaged, or defective could be considered false advertising.     4    "No Return Policy" Doesn't Apply to Defective Goods: In California, a "No Return Policy" or "All Sales Final" sign does not protect a seller from their responsibility for selling a defective product. The law requires them to provide a remedy--such as a refund, replacement, or repair--when a product is faulty. They cannot use their store policy to override state law. My advice: Do not buy anything from Elv Motors. They sell defective products and will try to protect themselves with illegal and deceptive tactics. Check the return policy before you buy ANYTHING from ANYWHERE, and do not take a salesperson's word for it--get it in writing. The Discovery One is a premium model, and the issues I faced were unrelated to its care or storageand the bike was not stored outdoors. Upon bringing in the bike, I noticed the steer tube was off-center--a simple fix that would have taken minimal effort. Unfortunately, they didn't take the time to inspect the bike, clearly did not test ride it. A simple Allen wrench to loosen and straighten the neck stem, a task that would literally take seconds. Regarding the repair costs, I was quoted $100 for a bicycle chain replacement, a price that seems exorbitant by any standard. This quote was significantly higher than what the original manufacturer, Velotric charges for the same part. Moreover, the labor costs were inflated, quoting three hours for what is commonly a 15-minute job. The owner's delayed response, three months after my original review, speaks volumes about the company's approach to customer service. It's disheartening to see a business overcharge customers, particularly those who might be less experienced with e-bikes. The claim that my bike's chain needed replacement was unfounded; it merely required lubrication. Furthermore, the quoted price for a new chain was astronomically high compared to the actual cost of a $15 part. Overall their sales and service have been top notch. I had a minor issue which they promised to run interference for with the manufacturer, but at the end of the day, were hopelessly inept at resolving. When sold my Aventon bike, the key was missing on the battery lock. They promised to contact the manufacturer and get a new key sent out directly to my home. I never received any follow up or update calls and my occasional calls to them were met like I was starting from scratch. I eventually checked the manufacturer's website and found they have a straight forward process for replacement keys. Such a waste of my time for such a minor issue. read more

Walked into the shop today. My friend is currently looking for an ebike and he wanted to see what was available with a $5k budget. My friend and I walked around the showroom to see what they had on the floor. There were 2 Caucasian employees present (yes there's a reason I mention this), 1 behind each of the counters. They saw us come in. We walked about 2 laps around the floor and not once were we greeted or asked to be helped out. In walks a Caucasian woman and immediately she was welcomed and asked how they could help her. I don't usually play the race card but here we are. For the next 5 minutes or so we're still looking and not one acknowledgement at all. In walks an employee who looks to be on a lunch break and goes behind the counter on the right rear of the store. The other guy is still standing there doing nothing. My friend asks if he could get some help and absolutely no response whatsoever. Be patient with them for it appears to be a small crew who work here and the phone was ringing off the hook. Brought a scooter in to have the motorized tire changed out for an unhoused individual who recently landed his first job, and is supposed to start Monday (flat occurred Fri night). His only transportation is this scooter and we went to 6 different places trying to find someone to help him after we spent four hours trying to do it ourselves. It came down to having the right tools. They provided more insight by sharing helpful information that the owner of the scooter was not aware to maximum lifespan usage. However, the staff seemed completely uninformed about the specifics of the rebate program. When I asked for guidance on which models would be eligible, they couldn't offer any clear answers, which was frustrating. Additionally, I found their website to be misleading. They have a section showcasing various e-bikes, but it's outdated--many of the models listed weren't available in-store. The site claims they work to keep it updated, but that certainly wasn't my experience. It even mentions calling for information on specific models, so I did, only to find that a bike I had inquired about was priced about 50% higher than what was shown online. I wasn't aware of these discrepancies until I visited their location, and it quickly became clear that the bikes listed on the website don't match the stock at this smaller store. To make matters worse, the only bikes they had in stock were high-end options priced over $3,000. When I asked about more affordable options, the representative seemed visibly annoyed, almost as if it was an inconvenience that I would inquire about pricing or availability. Given the lack of helpfulness, transparency, and general customer service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your e-bike needs. If I could give more than five stars I would. Edgar and the entire team at ELV motors are amazing. I found them because I wanted to test out a certain brand of class 1 PAS ebike and their store had them. I went in and spent time talking with Edgar about my riding goals and he immediately directed me to a different bike, explained why the other one better met my goals. I was able to take it out on a test ride and fell in love with it. I've since been back and ordered my husbands new bike (he got the same brand, newer model) and also rented e-bikes from them when my parents visited. Just yesterday I brought my bike in because it was making a strange noise and they threw it up on the lift and resolved the issue. My 4 year old Solar Scooter FF2.0 needed long overdue service. Specifically the brakes needed bleeding. For about 2 weeks we could not figure out how to do it. The manufacturer provided us with video that shows how it is done. The problem - the video showed a different brake system. FF2.0 used unbranded (no label) brakes. When I alerted the manufacturer about this fact- the did not respond to my email. I then offered to sale the scooter back to them - the suggest $250.00 on a $4000.00 purchase cost. This is outrageous. The reason they provided for the low ball price is - the FF2.0 parts are no longer on the market. It was a dead end. ELV started to look for alternatives. They found out that a different brake systems could be used but it would not have electrical cutout during braking. This is potentially very dangerous. Luckily for me, the technician working on my scooter kept on tinkering with it. He finally found out how to bleed the brakes! That was very great. And I am so grateful to this business. They will an extra mile to solve issues for clients. read more

I have an early model Surface 604 ROOK ebike that I had taken to ELV for electrical control panel wire repair. They are the only authorized dealer and repair in the Bay Area. Most other local shops would not touch my eBike unless it was to fix a flat tire. ELV had the bike for a month conversing with the manufacturer to get first-generation spare parts. I had to be upgraded and rewired to the second-generation control panel and screen for it to work properly. This was my first experience with ebike-authorized dealer maintenance. There was an initial diagnostic fee with subsequent parts ordering and installation for a 2017 motorized bike. I had to weigh that against the cost of a newer model/less expensive ebike. Like any motorized vehicle, if one can do the work yourself, then one can save money. Previously, I had added Tannus tire linings to improve rideability and prevent flats. I purchased and repacked the battery. Owning an ebike takes $$. In the end, I believe ELV assisted me and gave me a $ break on the fix and I am grateful for that. I was tempted to throw in the towel and think about a newer ebike. I don't want electrical-driven items to become disposable because it's cheaper to buy a newer item. The first-generation Surface 604 is a great cruiser and I look forward to many more years of use. read more

I have a Palasec ebike bought from eBay and started having issues with the throttle. I knew that it was an easy fix but didn't want to take risk to do it myself and looked for a shop that can do it. After asking some bike repair shops, I got the same answer "if you didn't by the bike here, we can't touch your bike." Even one told me that "we call these bikes disposable" what? Yes, this was the situation until I found the ELV Motors. They accepted my bike and fixed the issue within a day and did it for Avery reasonable price. For now, I am happy with their labor and certainly will go back to this shop again whenever I have any problems with my e-bikes. Where do I even start ? I have been coming to ELV motors for a while now and must say their service has always been 100% each visit I've had. I bought a scooter from another company which was a wolf king GT I needed help with tires and they got it done in no time they installed new brakes and the parts I asked. They also did an of my PEV and noticed some bolts were loose and did me the favor of retightening everything heck even charged my scooter for me!! so I was able to ride it home upon pickup. They even offered to help me sell my scooter in their store unfortunately I did sell my wolf king GT that they put a lot of hard work into but Im currently riding a Sur Ron light bee and they just started working on these types of racing e-bikes so I'm already planning a day and time to bring it in for a tune up and some new e moto t ELV motors we'll be my go to store in the southbay for a long time and I will continue to be a loyal customer read more

He was able to take a broken cargo bike and completely overhaul it with a retrofitted new motor, battery and equipment necessary to bring it back to better than new. He took extra time to make sure it worked perfectly and even custom fabricating a couple parts to ensure the install was right. The thing is a beast and can haul my two daughters with ease.
