It was the food I had a good time and the food is real Spanish food and it was delicious and we learn the flamingo to. The service is very good. The ambulance service was great too.

We stopped in here for lunch twice in the past several weeks. While located in a tired strip mall in a someone depressed section of Rte 2, the inside of this establishment was more upscale. While a bit dark inside, the people who work there are warm and welcoming. The menu is a list of small shareable plates (tapas) plus a few large entrees including paella Everything we ordered on both visits were tasty and we would reorder all of them The croquettes with ham and cheese and potato were our favorite and we ordered them on both visits Marinated anchovies were delicate and needed a side of bread which came out a bit late. Each time we ordered the dates stuffed with a Spanish blue cheese - once wrapped with bacon and in another occasion with almond The pan de yuca was described a a stuffed cheese bread. It was slightly sweet almost tart-like with a gooey mozzarella like cheese and topped with red pepper The empanadillas were made with green plantain stuffed with cheese and served warm with a herb sauce. The clams with beans were served with some rolls to sop of the juices and was a garlicky and brothy delight. The paella mixta was enough for four hungry people and was served with chicken, sausage (a not very spicy chorizo?) mussels, clams and salmon. This was tasty except for the salmon which seemed too oily a fish for paella and the chorizo needed a bit more of a fry. The seafood was cooked perfectly. On one visit we ordered the basque style cheesecake which was pleasantly dense and nicely charred on top. Service was good on both visits. Definitely would go out of my way to go there for paella

Exquisite! Service was wonderful at the bar and wasn't too loud inside even for a Saturday. Had the eggplant, cheese bread and meatballs. All very tasty!! Highly recommend and next time I'll have to try dessert!

The ambiance was amazing although when I went they were having trouble with their heating and had a few tall heaters out. The food was good a bit over priced $150 for 2 people at lunchtime is a bit steep.

This is a hidden gem. Why isn't everyone in northern Delaware talking about this place? I love tapas. This is a new fascination of mine. And having a tapas restaurant this close could be dangerous especially because this place is GOOD. The service is top notch, and the menu options are plentiful. My husband, 8 year old son and I went for an early NYE dinner and it did not disappoint. We went with all tapas, no entrees or paella but would love to go back and try some of those other options. Also, I love the half moon booths, they are private and that type of seating always makes me happy!! My husband and I split a pitcher of white sangria and it was amazing, worth every penny. And also split a bottle of sparkling water (staple of any worth while restaurant). My son had the non alcoholic red sangria and he really enjoyed it, my husband and I both had a taste and liked it too! Quite refreshing and unique. For tapas we had the gazpacho (shared it), bravas (which are always a good choice) goat cheese balls (sorry I'm not gonna remember the Spanish names of most), the croquettes, the bedabil (beets with cheese), the chicken dish, mussels & a tapas special flank steak over fried plantains. I believe that's everything :p The goat cheese was my favorite dish. Gazpacho was good but a little too tomato forward for me. Mussels were very tasty in a nice red garlicky broth. The flank steak dish was amazing and my 8 year old went crazy over the chickpea/chicken dish. HE LOVED IT. So there was definitely something for everyone. I think my husband loved the flank steak special most of all. And the beets, though tasty, were our least favorite. For dessert we had churros and tres leches and both were excellent!!! I can't wait to go back. Needless to say, it wasn't a cheap meal because we went all out for the occasion. I think the tapas are a little pricier than some other restaurants, however, the portion sizes are larger and the level of service and ambiance are top notch so it's worth the splurge.

This place was average to above average for Tapas & Spanish food. I didn't have higher expectations. We had the following tapas: Spanish olives, some type of steak & onion sliders. These were delicious. Chrorizo with manchengo cheese in a light tomato sauce. This chorizo was too smoky for us. Then we had jamon & chicken croquettes. These we delicious. We then shared paella mixta. This was just an average paella, no more. We had margaritas and they were superb. For desert a tres leche cake that was the 2nd best I have had.

Absolutely the best Tapas in the tri-state area. Try the shrimp and ask for extra garlic !!!

Food is authentic Spanish cuisine. We eat here frequently and every once in a long time service may be slow.

I am vegetarian, so here are my thoughts on the new items. Ensalade Verde: is the absolute best salad in the city. in the country even. absolute must get. it's big, however me and my sister still refuse to split it. definitely shareable though if you're not as greedy. Patatas Bravas: slightly different iteration than their past one. I think it's actually better. you get more potato's, more sauce, and the sauce just tastes slightly better but who knows. always ordered when we go Brussels Catalana: technically there is blue cheese in this, however, I am a certified blue cheese hater and I had no idea. so don't be turned off by that. first time having this dish and it was solid. good portion, well coated, right texture. will get again Pimientos De Pardon: shishito peppers were good, decent amount of them. I think everyone had three and we had 4 people. wouldn't get again just because there are other things more worth it but still great. Unknown Cauliflower dish: i'm not seeing it on the menu, so maybe it was just removed, but it was essentially a cauliflower gratin dish. I wouldn't get again. it was good, but lacked salt and was basically just a cauliflower in some heavy cream with a tiny amount of bread crumbs. Valenciana Paella: this has meat in it obviously, but I did eat around the pieces. if you're vegetarian and don't mind your food touching the meat, it's very easy to pick around. all the meat pieces are medium sized. This was very good, the rice was amazing, the watercress was so good. presentation was great. worth the time and money especially if you eat meat Ganache de Chocolate: pretty good. honestly interested in trying the rice pudding next. or just ordering another patatas bravas for dessert. shareable between two people. Passion fruit mocktail: MUST GET for all non drinkers! expensive? yes. worth it? yes. taste is great and it's also a nice thing to have if you're with others who drink and don't want to be left out. it's set up just like an alcoholic drink would be.

78/100 Amada is…read morecertainly a good date night restaurant with its polished interior, small bites, and intimate lighting. However I found it to be unsuitable to dining with a large group due to it being very loud and crowded. I'd recommend the tasting set if you want to be full when you leave without breaking the bank. --- I dined at Amada on Friday night with a party of 8. Typical of a Friday night in Philly, Amada was packed. It was incredibly loud, which meant you couldn't hear anyone past those seated directly next to you. Our server, Alexander, was excellent. Since the whole restaurant was fully seated, service was a little slow (2 hours for our meal-not tasting menu), but his attitude and friendliness were exceptional. The tapas (small bites) are meant to be shared, meaning it will come out at different times if you all order individually. The staff plated nuts separately so that we could still share while being mindful of our party's dietary restriction. We ordered numerous tapas try for the table: (1) chorizo Bilbao, (2) piquillos (crab-stuffed peppers), (3) tortilla española (Spanish omelette), (4) espãrragos blancos (asparagus), (5) pimientos de padrõn (shishito peppers), (6) setas (mushrooms), (7) torreznos (crispy pork belly), and (8) chicken skewers. Overall, everything came out smaller than we expected for the price. (Not too upset since it's a $$$/$$$$ restaurant.) The flavor of every dish was tasty, if not all a bit salty. The standouts for us were the: (2) piquillos, (3) tortilla española, and (8) chicken skewers. I really enjoyed the crab filling of the piquillos, the balance of flavors in the tortilla, and the juiciness of the chicken. In the end, we racked up quite a bill and were still hungry afterwards. Personally, Amada is out my price range, but everything was quite flavorful. For others, I would recommend dining at Amada with smaller parties (6 or less) to accommodate the loud ambiance. Amada is definitely better suited for a romantic date spot or small gathering. For better value, the tasting set may make more sense.
