The palak paneer was my favorite, I'd order that again for sure. The cheese melts in your mouth bc it's so soft. They blend the spinach completely which I really like not to have to chew my spinach. It's very creamy and rich! I wonder if they use coconut milk? The goat curry bone in was the spiciest and most savory of the four options but was a pleasant heat that comes later. They gave good portions of meat and honestly so worth it! The two or three item combos come with naan! They share a parking lot with other businesses in the small plaza. I'm heartbroken cuz when I got home and realized the mistake- I called back and politely said I thought I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was met with yelling of "I asked you if you wanted tikka or masala you said tikka!" He never asked me such a thing. Even when I was trying to pay for the rice pudding, i mentioned it was chicken masala and they acted very confused like the needed to make me one and have me pay for it. This is so dissapointing considering I've been coming here since I moved in 2021. I've been a longtime customer and local but after being treated that way- I'll be going elsewhere. The food took forever from when we ordered it despite there not being many others waiting for takeout. They did give us extra naan for the wait which was considerate. There was no location to actually sit down all they offer is takeout nor is it easy parking it's all street parking with meters. The dining space is relatively large, so there's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. As for the food, we got the following... 1. Pani Pani (3.5/5) Hollow crispy fried dough shells that are filled with chickpeas and potatoes. We felt the filling could have been a bit more. It's served with a side of green sauce, which was slightly spicy, but did add a bit of herb-ly spice flavor 2. Gobi Manchurian (3/5) Crispy cauliflower florets in sweet and spicy Indo-Chinese sauce topped with green scallions. The flavor is similar to/reminds me of sweet and sour chicken, but it's mostly sweet and mildly spicy. It's hard to get crispy cauliflower dishes right. For 1, cauliflower is very moist, so to make it "crispy" is naturally a challenge. On top of that, we did order it as take out, so the prolonged time in the container doesn't help either. 3. Tandoori Shrimp (3/5) Jumbo shrimp marinated in tandoori spices and grilled in clay over. The shrimp had a nice succulent texture - plump & fleshy. The flavor was ok - there is a mix of spice flavors, but overall, it was not very special or outstanding. 4. Chicken Tikka (3.75/5) Boneless chicken that is marinated in yogurt and Indian spices. It is supposedly grilled in a clay over to give it a juicy, smoky flavor. Our opinion of this dish was that the flavor was decent - definitely taste the spices, the sourness from the yogurt and the smokiness of the way it was grilled. However, it was not juicy. The chicken meat was actually quite dry. 5. Baningan Bharta (5/5) Mashed fire-roasted eggplant with onions, tomatoes and Indian spices. This dish was really good. They really know how to turn eggplant into something delicious to eat. The eggplants were not mushy in texture, but rather, it provided a pleasant eggplant flavor along with a rich mix of spice and onions, all made into a thick stew-like consistency. pairs well with naan or pita bread. 6. Onion Naan (5/5) Perfectly baked soft naan bread that's topped with onion and green onions/parsley. Lightly savory. Pairs well with any curry or masala dishes. 7. Mushroom Bhaji (4.5/5) Fresh button mushrooms with onions, tomatoes and Indian spices. The mushrooms were flavorful, yet tender with an earthy flavor. 8. Goat Korma (4/5) If you like that gamey lamb flavor, this dish is for you. The meat was tender and the creamy cashew and yogurt sauce gave it a rich, nutty-tangy flavor. The lamb arrived beautifully seasoned, tender, and carrying that unmistakable char and smoke that makes tandoori worth ordering. The chicken masala was rich, deeply flavorful, and exactly the sort of sauce that makes you reconsider leaving anything behind on the plate. Both lassis were cold, creamy, and a perfect counterpoint to the spices.
