My friends and I were camping at Shaver Lake and decided to grab some lunch in town at Shaver Lake…read morePizza. We ordered the XL combo pizza, potato skins and some jalapeños and ranch. Food was made to order so it took some time. The spot was pretty small, so there was limited seating. Seemed like there were lots of phone orders too. Potato skins and pizza were pretty good. Ranch was good as well. Pretty solid lunch spot. Did have to knock down a star for my vegetarian friend. She ordered vegetarian calzone and well... as she was eating it she noticed there was bacon in it and she didn't speak up. After years of being vegetarian, she accidentally ate bacon and it absolutely tore her stomach up during camping.

I've been stopping here every time I'm at Shaver Lake for several years, and it has become one of our family's traditions. Seating inside is limited, and during the busy summer season you'll want to call ahead because there can be a wait, but it's absolutely worth it. Our family favorites are the Pepperoni & Sausage, the Combo, and the Veggie pizzas. We usually add a salad, an order of potato skins, and make sure to get the homemade ranch, which is as good as everyone says. Their garlic bread and appetizers are also great options if you're feeding a hungry group. Whether you've spent the day on the lake, hiking the trails, or just relaxing at the cabin, make Shaver Lake Pizza a regular stop during your time in the mountains. Good food, friendly people, and one of those places that keeps you coming back year after year

Restrooms are best avoided. There is a game parlor inside, the sofa in there looks ripped as it had a tape all through the center. ***Food: come here only for this! The owner was kind and promised me a pizza in 12 minutes as we were hungry. And per his promise in exactly 12 minutes, he handed a large hot pizza box. The veggies were fresh, the cheese was real, the crust was crisp. The pie could have benefited with some heat on top to toast up the cheese a bit. This is by no means a gourmet pizza but for this remote location, this was more than we could ask for.

Avoid ordering online -- very strange experience…read more We were on vacation and needed a pizza place that could accommodate a large group, so we decided to give this place a try. I went to their website, placed an order, and paid online. Shortly after, I received a text saying DoorDash would be delivering my order. Then I got a call from the DoorDash driver saying they had arrived at the restaurant, but the restaurant was claiming they didn't have a website and didn't have my order. The charge on my credit card showed the business name, so the whole situation was extremely confusing. I ended up having to cancel the charge with my credit card company, and since we had a large group with limited options, we had to go inside and place an order directly. Walking in, the place had a very strange vibe. It almost felt like a restaurant that was not fully set up or had recently changed ownership. It was very bare, there were no napkins in the holders, and the arcade area was completely empty except for a couch. The whole atmosphere felt off. Unfortunately, the pizza itself was not good either. I'm not sure what happened with this place, whether it recently changed hands or something else, but based on our experience, I would recommend staying away.

Though I usually prefer a non-marinara base, the Margherita pizza at Annesso's really impressed me. I loved how simple and flavorful it was! The burrata on the pesto pizza came cold which really threw me off but it was still good. For pasta option, the Mafaldine stood out and I had to order it. The garlic-butter sauce was the highlight of the dish for me! Service was quick and friendly. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It does get really busy from what my friend was telling me. But I think it's safe to say I have another favorite spot to eat in Fresno whenever I'm visiting again!

We dined at Annesso on 07/26/26 as a party of two, and it was one of the worst dining experiences…read morewe've had in a long time. We waited 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged our table. He admitted the wait was "ridiculous" and blamed it on the restaurant being busy, but that doesn't excuse ignoring guests for that long. We ordered the Mafaldine pasta, the Sprouting Cauliflower appetizer to share, a Coke, and a cocktail. The Sprouting Cauliflower appetizer was terrible--bland, unappetizing, and not worth ordering. The pasta was good, but it wasn't enough to make up for the abysmal service. Our Coke didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later, we were never given plates for the appetizer, and our server never once checked on us to see if we needed anything or how our meal was. After asking for to-go boxes, he disappeared yet again. Eventually, we gave up waiting and walked to the front station ourselves to ask for a bag and our check because it was obvious we had been forgotten. As soon as he saw us heading to the front, he rushed over as though he thought we were trying to leave without paying. He immediately printed the check and stood there waiting for payment. When I told him I wanted to review the bill first, he looked genuinely surprised. After I paid, I explained that we had a very poor experience. His only response was that he "tried his best." If that was truly his best, then Annesso has a serious service problem. We watched him provide attentive service to his other tables while ours was consistently ignored from start to finish. No customer should have to chase down their server for basic service, wait excessive amounts of time for drinks, eat a shared appetizer without plates, or get up and request their own check because they've been abandoned. The food alone is not enough to justify returning. Between the terrible appetizer and the unacceptable service, we will never be back. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and provide the level of service Annesso clearly does not. We will absolutely be sharing our experience with friends and family and cannot recommend this restaurant.

The cheese and sauce were so consistent throughout all our order. We came in on a Friday right before Valentine's Day, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
